You do not say how often you "take care of yourself" but you should certainly refrain from doing this for at least 3 days or more before you meet this girl. You're right, generally in the entire Anglophone world---in which it has its roots. In fact the English and French have had such a long standing antagonism that I am frankly surprised they could agree on building the Eurostar tunnel across the channel. As an observer from America, but a former resident of France and frequent visitor to London, I was amused to hear the English and French confide in me their opinions of one another. For the Brits, it might be summed up by that condescending, but somewhat antiquated line, "Wogs begin at Calais." For the French, the British are a rather uptight, puritanical people with no 'joie de vivre’ and a people with a decidedly awful cuisine. (Although a number of French confessed they preferred---albeit not every day---the "Full English Breakfast" to their traditional croissant and/or "pain" [no pun intended] and cafe au lait.)

On another site everybody can rate u once, but after u make 200 dollars from 1 guy he can rate u everytime he visits videochat for more than 2 minutes. I think it's quite fair.

CC indicate that they take into account the length of a session in some form for the hosts "rating" and that members input is only used once in the day as well as other areas that CC factor into their rating equation.
I guess most of us hosts are unsure of exactly what questions viewers are asked in the post video survey..

Gorty, Apparently CC does take measures to insure that the ratings of the "one minute wonders" do not have the same weight as those who spent considerably more money. This is simply the age-old practice of the bigger spender having more influence. In other words the big spenders are---in some sense---larger stock holders. But the analogy is not altogether apt and I have a problem with the opinions of bigger spenders carrying more weight because it really does skew the results in favor of the Fat Cats with the most money. one need not be too cynical to discover that when an

Of course it is "relative," but the point, I think is a valid one. It may be the "Walmart" approach vs. the exclusive Park Avenue boutique and one can make a case for each, but I think the average working stiff is more inclined to spend a few bucks with a host who charges $0.99 than with one who charges $3.99. Sure, one could wind up spending the same amount with both, let's say for example $60.But those arguing that you get 60 minutes with the former, but only 15 minutes with the latter, miss the subtler point that every host is keenly aware of: The most essential thing is to get the guy to enter Live Vid in the first place. So, here at CC where prices are lower (and hosts' commissions higher), a member might drop $60 on the host @ $0.99 per/min, but refuse to spend the same amount on the $3.99 girl on the grounds that he can't afford it! Which amounts to saying, "I can afford $60, but I can't afford $60." As you said, it's all "relative." lol!

I have not seen the rating "system" CC has employed, but I am skeptical for several reasons:
1) First and foremost, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to quantify things are not quantifiable (e.g. beauty, charm...etc)
2) As some have pointed out, until there is a large sample of respondents, one person's rating can profoundly affect the total. If I rate a host 5 stars and another rates her only 1 star, and we are the first and second persons to rate her, her average goes from 5 to three! Whereas, if a girl has a solid 5 star rating (let's say 4.8 star avg.=96%) out of a sample of 100 raters, if some guy rates a girl 1 star, her rating will remain 5 stars.
3) Again, as others have pointed out, friends will overrate a girl to help her and detractors, or some guy who has an ax to grind that is not legitimate will rate a host zero or 1 just to hurt her.
So, the system is fraught with problems and I think CC would do well to abandon the practice.

How do you "deduce" some of what you said from CC's expalanation. There is nothing to say that ratings "beyond the host norm" will not be counted. With a 5 level rating system and the last ten members' votes counting how can anything be "beyond the norm". I think the good thing about the system is that only the last 10 member votes count. For the members this means the hosts rating is a representation of current member satisfaction. For the host it means that if she has a bad couple of days (maybe due to technical problems rather than poor shows) she need not then pay for this for weeks with a low rating but has a chance to quickly recover her score.

well you stand out in a crowded chat.usually it's character & personality that do it initially.then after that it's those who have been affected by your P&C who help you stand out because they always are glad to see you which makes those who don't know you curious about you.so i guess first impressions have a big bearing on standing out in a crowd.
