Well to be honest you can be recorded without the need of a video camera pointed at the screen as there are many software programs that will record directly from the screen.

I would think one big reason for a host to request a cam that is security related would be to make sure the viewer is not someone they know posing as someone else. Maybe a host wants to make sure she is not stripping in front of a bunch of school boys who somehow got their parents credit card. Maybe they just like to feel involved with a real person and not a camera. I can think of many reasons a host would request cam 2 cam.

Yes the points you mention about being recorded and the fear they may know the viewer in the real world is what I get from talking to hosts. But this is still a job for them and we are paying customers. And C2C was brought about by customer demand not host demand. And you only get this from a fairly small number of hosts, not the majority. Even though they have a choice to strip or not strip by cc rules, the fact that they need to make $ plays a part on how they run their room.

It is not obligatory for a member to use cam2cam but equlayy it is not obligatory for a host in Glamour or Littleshy to strip. If a host in one of these categories wishes to make the member sending his cam a condition of doing a sexy show she is free to do so.

I am happy to send my cam but I prefer the host to ask for it rather forcing it on her. If a host does not ask I often leave without bothering with a show.

I want to thank the hosts for their responses. You have proven to me that I should stay away from CC except for the few people that I know will treat me with respect. I might miss out on a new host that is worth seeing, but the frustration level of dealing with hosts I don't know is often too high. And lately, even some of the hosts I do know are acting like they are doing me a favor by talking to me. I guess too many hosts have slaves here nowadays, lol.

I want everyone to read my post again. What I said was that I had seen this host a number of times in the past, but stayed away from her for a long time because she couldn't do me a simple favor and take two minutes to vote for my friend's story during the story contest. This host did NOT have a story. I guess that I could have been clear about that, but obviously, I wouldn't expect someone who was competing during a contest to vote for another contestant.

I was someone that saw her somewhat frequently, and the fact that she couldn't even take two minutes to help my friend out seemed extremely selfish. And it wasn't that she felt it would be wrong to vote without reading the stories. Rather, it was more of a "what are you going to do for me if I do this? Why should I help you?" type attitude. Still, it wasn't the end of the world, and a lot of time had passed, so I decided to visit her. I guess that was my mistake. (And by the way, hosts that I hardly talked to for a long time and hadn't visited for a long time were more than willing to help my friend out just to be nice.)

Second, what I said was this host was with me in one session and said she had to go to another session to be with another viewer. (Presumably, that other session was closed, or she was violating CC's rules, and in any event, there were no delays in her typing so she seemed to be focused on me.) I never said there were two of us in video at the same time or anything like that. The host has two sessions on CC, and I was in the less expensive one. I do not believe anyone else was with me in that session, and what she wanted to do was close that session, and open her other session which happened to be more expensive.

Never did this host ask me if I minded what she was doing. She just said she had to go. End of story. I was taken aback and just said "Okay, I'll leave". But I found it very rude of her to basically suggest that I get out so she could entertain another member. I've never had that happen in that fashion before.

Still, I resisted the urge to one star her even though she probably deserved it in my view. And if she had an upcoming appointment, she should have not had the lower priced session open to begin with, and could have set up a password in the other session.

Once again, I want to thank the hosts for their responses. Your attitudes are exactly why I don't like being here as much as I once did, and I've probably been here more than many of you. CC knows who I am, and they know how much I have spent here over the years. It is a lot. They also know that I only complain about things when they are justified, and they consistently award me credits. In fact, because of hosts and their attitudes, I just got rewarded a credit for a not so shy host that wouldn't strip and told me "my room, my rules". It is that type of attitude that has kept me from spending as much as I once did, and I guess that I will reduce my spending even further.

I am sure many host's attitude is "screw him". That is fine. The problem is that many hosts demonstrate that philosophy of "screw him" quite often to me and other members, and the result is that you push members, including some bigger spenders, away from both you and your fellow hosts. Before you post in the host forum about traffic being slow, you might want to look in the mirror first.

I am very respectful of hosts. I am nice to them. They usually like me, and we get along well. And I usually will be in video 20 to 30 minutes at a minimum so I am not some two minute guy. The only time that I get nasty is when they start trying to jerk me around and don't comply with the rules that they specifically agree to when choosing their categories, when they did not deliver as promised, or when they try to take advantage of me in some other way.

But hosts, you do not need to worry about me. There are just a few hosts that I want to see one last time, and I will then stick to the few true friends that I have here and will visit them from time to time.

I will take most of my business elsewhere, just as I have for most of the past 6 months. CC knows this, and I've told them several times why I've done it. And I've actually saved quite a bit of money because I can see a lot of things for free on the site I was usually going to. I rather be here, even if I end up spending more, because I like the personal interaction of CC more than other places, but I am running into too many hosts that need major attitude adjustments as of late. It just isn't worth being here any more. (My favorite was the host that stopped her show because she had orgasmed already and felt satisfied. I guess hosts prefer two minute men after all, lol.)

I will pay my credit card bill of several thousand dollars from just the past few weeks, and take most of my business elsewhere. CC, you know who I am, and you are aware of the issues I've had in the past. It is up to you to explain to me why I should maintain my current spending level. But I as far as I can tell, you won't have much of a case. Telling me there are a lot of good hosts here just isn't good enough because I keep running into too many bad ones.

Today, I just went off on a host that did a similar thing. I asked for her to dance. She said okay, but that she had to go turn off the stove. So I waited. They can not disable 121. If only option is open it means they have a viewer

There was only the option for "open". 121 did not appear as an option. Normally, of course, that means that the host has a viewer in open.

But when I went into text chat, it did not indicate that they have a viewer. Usually it gives the member a message that the host has a viewer when she is in video, and the member cannot send the host messages, although the host can send the member messages.

Even though only open showed as an option, not 121, I was able to talk to the host in text chat which the member cannot do when she has a viewer in open or 121. When the host has a viewer, she can send you messages, but you cannot send her messages (unlike a few years ago when the member could send messages even if she was in video).

All of this means (1) something was wrong with 121 OR (2) hosts can disable 121 or (3) something was wrong and she had video but I could talk to her in text anyway or (4) CC now lets hosts decide once again if members can send messages to them even if they are in video. I have no idea what was going on, but since I visited two hosts in this exact set of cirucmstances after talking to them in text chat, I think 121 was broken or disabled or whatever. There was no indication from the host herself or by how she was acting to indicate she had another viewer. I am almost definitely sure she was talking only to me, although I suppose the other viewer could have left the exact second I entered video or just stopped talking. I doubt this, however. I think there was a problem since I have seen this situation on multiple occasions and was able to talk to the host in text chat each time even though it showed she had video in open. Something is either clearly wrong with CC or they have changed something.

Okay. So you are saying that the host and the member can chat even if she has a viewer in video. In other words, the member can send messages to the host and she can see them even if she is in video. Is this for when she has a viewer in "open" and "121" or only if she has a viewer in open? To 'member': It is an option that can be turned on or off by the chathost. I can't say if it's applicable to both open and 121, I do not know.

To 'host' : When you open up your chatroom look under 'Room Control' and then 'Private Room Mode'. When a black dot is next to 'Private Room' it means that when you enter video with a member you will only receive text messages from the person and/or people in video with you. To disable Private Room simply click it and the black dot will disappear and you will then receive messages whether you are in video with someone else or not.

Well there is a host that I have been intending to see a few times and every time I go she only has the open option showing. Now it could be she has a member visiting for hours but, if so, it seems strange that they wouldn't go 121.

This problem was posted few months ago: Hosts having only open video option. I clarified it at that time, I will explain it once again: When a host fix her open min.price she ( forgets ) to fill the fellowing case with a percentage running from 20% to 100%, this percentage generates the 121 option, as she didn't put it no 121 option will be generated and she can go online with open min. price only. I am not the author of CC program .. If I was I will not make her able to go online with this missing percentage that makes the host appear in open video without being so. Some hosts will get mad on me because they use this defect to appear as having open video while they are not.

Maybe it is intentional so that she wouldn't have to close one session to be in another?? Think that would make more sense than your explanantion.... Especially since she would be losing money by not having a 121. I suspect that this way they can maintain 2 rooms at once without closing for 121.

Two problems I see with both of your comments...

1. once the host has video in one room, she must close her other session... at least on cc... But if you meant that she could keep her cc session open and work on another site, that would make sense.

2. I thought the default for 121 was 20% if the host didn't do anything so I am surprised that this problem occurs. Maybe there is some flaw in the program where sometimes this happens.

They have rules for a reason. One such reason is not to give hosts an unfair competitive advantage over other hosts. If a host is not so shy, for example, and has just one session, a host with two sessions in not so shy has an advantage over the first host. Another reason for the rule is to make things less confusing for members by not clutterring a given category up with redundant sessions. A third probably is unnecessary wasting of bandwidth.

Would you prefer that every host did the same thing? I get your point, but in this case, it does matter. Since in this case the host has not done this type of thing repeatedly to my knowledge, I didn't say anything to CC. But if the circumstances were different, especially at contest time, I absolutely would. (I would have said something to her but she was in video. Guess I could send her a CC mail but she's offline now and I didn't care so much that I wrote her sessions' names down.)

Rules are made for a reason. Some are good, some are bad. You might not need friends, but at least some order is needed, and in my view, the rules at issue are good ones.

And I bet if you entered her other session when she had video in another one and she ignored you or disconnected you, you wouldn't be too happy.

I am sooooo happy you posted that!!! I am going to tell CC to make sure they look at what you said because I complained about another host that violates rules a lot for exactly the reasons you said. I am not sure that this particular host deserves the same criticism since I don't know her history. I think she was pretty new, and it could have just been a mistake. But the host I did write to CC about definitely was exactly as you described.
