I have gone to video with a lot of hosts who looked good in the pics but in video...yikes....not so good. Generally these are hosts with few pics and the pics don't really give you a good head shot and sometimes partially or fully hide her body. A lot of times I enter the video...see that the host just is not going to get it going for me...and apologize and leave. Did you buy every pair of jeans or dress or coat you tried on? It happens...nothing personal.

A minimum video time of 5 minutes would be good.

Also something to address people who come into video while host is already in open video. The first person should always get priority so the 2nd person shouldn't expect the host to stop what they're already doing for 1st customer and immediately do what 2nd customer wants. I think some guys specifically look for hosts who are already in open video and try to get them to follow their orders instead of requests of 1st customer. If host don't give them priority they rate them badly, so maybe the 2nd person in video should not be allowed to rate host

Given hosts charge different amounts, to be fair to both hosts and members, I would think about setting a minimum voting system that considered both money spent and time in video. Perhaps something like a minimum of $5,00 spent or 5 minutes in video, whichever comes first, would be a good system.

The problem is that no system will always work. For example, if a member goes to instant action and wants a host to strip right away as she's required to do, he really shouldn't have to wait more than 1 minute to vote. If you've said "Hi baby. Let's have some fun." and she stalls, you should be able to give her a low rating and not have to wait 2 or 3 minutes to vote.

I suppose CC could make it so for glamour and little shy, you must wait 5 minutes to vote since so many guys expect nudity in 2 seconds when it isn't even required, make it 3 minutes for not so shy, and 1 minute for instant action, or something like that, but I would imagine that would be difficult to implement.

Perhaps just making it 2 full minutes before being able to vote would things more fair to all as opposed to one minute. That would make the guys just popping into video for 20 seconds to one star a host they don't like less of a problem. And when a guy jumped into glamour or little shy and said "strip" and the host didn't, he probably will leave fast rather than waste his money to one star the host. Simply making it a full 2 minutes would probably solve 95% of the problems and create very few, if any, new ones.

(Hosts: members are charged for a full one minute regardless of whether they stay 1 second or 60 seconds... After that, they are charged a partial minute amount so 1 minute, 45 seconds, means a member is charged for exactly 1 minute, 45 seconds. That means for a member to vote after 2 mintues means he must have actually been in your video for a full 2 minutes as opposed to his being able to vote after 1 second like things are now even though he is charged for 1 minute.)

I would also increase the votes used to compute a rating to 20 votes with just one vote per member. I believe right now it is just the last 10 votes and one member can vote more than once as long as at least 3 members have voted in the last 10.

So a full 2 minute voting minimum, the last 20 votes, only one vote for each member in these last 20 would seem to work. I might make it one vote per ip address along with one vote per account in these last 20 to make it harder for members with multiple accounts from manipulating things. I am sure some guys could get around this, but to have multiple accounts and keep switching ip addresses would make take time and discourage people from trying to manipulate things.

all hosts who are working regulary and earn a lot of money,on the regular basic,should be on top.(its mean they are good hosts and many men like them,and more men will like them if they are on top...) .. all others lower on list.. :)))

Once my friend-member told me he visited video other host and rated her 1 because she was very arrogant and pushed him to 121 even he didnt request nudity and she wasn't from glam or lil shy. So i looked in other day her rating with curious and it was still 4,5 :)....maybe that day she had some other visitors rated her 5, but anyway his rate didnt ruined anything. I think rating system at cc is pretty fine and one bad rate can't change everything.

I understand what you are saying, but the problem is that after 5 years, such a host would often act like a b*tch any time she felt like it because it would take a lot of low ratings to ever get her below 5 stars. At the same time, I agree that one bad rating shouldn't cost a host her 5 stars. Depending upon how CC calculates the stars, my idea would make it so it would take more ratings to reduce someone's stars. Plus, by increasing the minimum time to vote and forcing the member to wait a full 2 minutes, I think most of the idiots wouldn't bother to stick around to rate. Guys voting just to help their friends probably would wait the full 2 minutes, but once you make the angry psycho spend more money, he may decide it isn't worth staying to give a bad rating or at least won't do it as often.

I understand your concerns, but the rating needs to reflect what a host has done lately to give customers the best indication as to how she is performing in recent days. How she has done for the past 5 years might be important if she is competing for the Chathost Lifetime Achievement Award, but it doesn't do much for a member who is visiting her for the first time today. And the reality is, there may be times that hosts lose a 1/2 star or star because of a few idiots, but even under the current system, it isn't like stars are jumping all over the place. Hosts star ratings, if anything, are pretty contstant so whatever CC is doing, obviously, the effect of a few angry customers isn't too great, and if it is, the host probably has more than just a few disappointed customers so maybe she is getting what she deserves. Plus, any 5 year host that has done well probably has a list of guys on her yahoo that she is asking to rate her so I doubt she needs to worry for long, and even if she never asks, they will probably visit her soon and her rating will be back where it started.

The reality is, in my view, the rating system works pretty well if members look at things a little differently than the stars suggest. 4.5 and 5 star hosts are usually good (not necessarilly excellent, but probably at least good to very good), 4 stars are probably worth a look but you might have just a mediocre session in many cases, 3.0 and 3.5 stars are risky, and under 3.0 stars.... don't waste your time. Also, hosts need to remember that most guys are giving 5 stars to be nice even if the host isn't "excellent", at least based on what people historically say in the forums, so a host below 4.5 or 5 stars is probably doing something wrong and doesn't deserve a top rating. It takes a lot for most of us not to give 5 stars when we vote, so if your rating is below 4.5, with all due repsect, you probably are doing something wrong or maybe you are not quite as attractive as some other hosts here and your personality isn't making up for this.

Whenever this topic is raised, comment focuses (like here) on things like the time in video before being entitled to vote, money spent etc. Perhaps more fundamental is the desciption of the ratings themselves. For instance 3* is defined as "satisfactory", ostensibly a positive rating, but I doubt there are many who would perceive it as such: either as hosts receiving such a rating, or as members searching a host to visit.

In my experience, I'm not likely to be happy or satisfied with hosts under 4.5 stars. Four star hosts sometimes are "good" but often are not. Below that, I usually end up not being very happy.

Maybe renaming the ratings would be better. Even making the highest rating 4 stars might help like with movie rating but people are more use to ratings with up to 5 stars on sites like this.

A four star system such as Bad, Fair, Good, Excellent might be better. Or simply renaming the ratings and say Very Unsatisfied, Unsatisfied, Neither Satisfied or Unsatisfied, Satisfied, Very Satisfied like marketing surveys might work better.

I find the rating useful only if the ratings are low. A host with under 3 has issues. Chances are she does not deliver as agreed in chat or there is something that is off....3 and above are generally ok. 4 and 5's can often be expensive (you get what you pay for). Not that I look for a 4 or 5 with a low price. But 1 and 2 I avoid.

There are several hosts who have great English laguage skills....but getting one without an accent is about impossible unless they lived in the US for a long time. I work in a university with a lot of students from around the world...and an accent is inevitable. I think they are sexy. Most girls are easily understandable. Some spent summers in the US on summer work programs. You must be patient and listen carefully and you will understand them. Hello me.....no hosts do not know how each member rates...because even regular viewers will rate even his fav host under 5 for many reasons...one big reason being if she is always busy a the time that e decides to visit....so if rating lower it might give him a better chance at catching her ......it may not always fair...but at the same time i do understand......

and remember ladies before getting angry...it takes what 9 separate viewers in a row to give u a five ...but in those 9 it only takes one viewer to go even 4.5....

Where does love come from? It comes from deep with in our brains. Most successful relationships work because of good communication, respect, honesty and yes love. Online relationships can be just as real as ones in person sometimes more intense because of the greater mental connections made getting to know each other. This is one of the few posts i have ever responded to because I and a host fell in love - ( dont ask who it is i will never say :) after all that would betray a trust - I think people just need to stop judging others and judge yourself - but that i believe is too hard for so many to do - to be honest with ones self - i applaud all those who are willing to take a chance even if you feel pain - for if we never felt pain then pleasure would never mean anything - cheers oh and happy new year :)

I try to limit myself to under a minute in free chat and almost always do, in most cases less than 30 seconds. I mainly go there to see if host is available for video. I do my best to be considerate and polite and ask most questions in open video. But even doing this does not ensure a polite reply from host. Last night I was called weird and stupid in 2 videos and was told I was fucked up by one host. To to be fair, most hosts are very pleasant. But there are definitely some rude hosts that need to go.

Once a host enter video.....yes she can still type to u ....but if u type back to her she will not see it...she will only see that u r still in her text....but she will not be able to see what ur typing to her...but she can still type to u.....
