What's up with rejecting hosts on the basis of their home country?
I refer not only to the post by Andrea Cherry but by what many hosts from Russia and Romania have told me about viewers leaving as soon as they found out they were not USA girls. I'm in the US and the location or ethnic makeup of a host doesn't matter to me. All viewers are free to choose where they spend their $, but in my opinion to scratch off such a large group of girls is foolish on their part.
Where on this site does it say this is a dating site? I bet even the the hosts in the USA have no desire to meet any viewer in person. That is why they block their home state, duh! And there are very few USA hosts on this or any other site for any number of reasons. The only USA host that pops to mind is Sunbeams. She does state in her profile she is 100%American and she is. I like her because in my opinion she is a very good host. The fact that she is in the US doesn't matter to me.
To me attitude is everything. If a host has a bad attitude, it doesn't matter if she looks better than Miss Universe. Its just not going to go well. But whenever you deal with the public in general, in the real world or here, you are going to run into assholes. I hope Andrea gets some good business out of this whole thing. IMHO she is very good host. She is fluent in English and communicates well. I recommend her.

I dont care what country host is from, its not matter to me, and most of my "friend" hosts are from russia, ukraine, or romania.. but i also understand the other side of this case, if someone dont want to chat with for example russian host, and when host dont tell her country in her profile, this viewer has every right to leave after host tell she is from russia, it shouldnt be so big deal.

They do that to all hosts and so why be so sensitive? Maybe it is something else and too much sensitivity and assuming the wrong reason. Why make a mystery from the beginning and clearly state that honestly from the beginning???

Why do they try to hide their countries so much? That starts the whole hello on a different note. Are they ashamed or does that brand them because of other hosts that are less than honest from those countries. Why be ashamed of your country? It is just a online meeting? Or is that their intention?

It has nothing to do with distance or dating .....much more about their manipulative ways and how they burn members. Where have you been if here for so long? All they want is the money and however they can get it they will do...

I think that many hosts use that as an excuse for not accepting other possibilites......like they didn't comb their hair or too much make-up or not looking like pics or many other reasons....including personaity that might seem rather arrogant......we all know what assuming does ;)

i personally know women in romania of 75-79 looking like 55-59, and they had tough jobs, didn.t went to gym , didn.t put tones of make-up, and ... they smoke (not much, but they do).
their secret? to be very, i mean VERY well organized during the day, walking a lot and having a bit of fun each week : a theater, a movie at cinema, having a coffee in the town, walking in the park, shopping, just keeping their own lives under controll, they are never sad , they never have depressions, they sing together with the radio while they clean or cook, just enjoying each minute of their lives, while they have an "energetic" smile for everybody.

My question is how can it be that we hear that some hosts from 1 or 2 countries can have so much deceit and be so happy as we also hear in chathost forum and they have conscience?? Do they have no heart or morals or just empty inside. I have often wondered if this isn't taught in schools from early childhood ...they seem so good at it and have no regrets....

It is a common question, and hosts also ask members all the time where they are from. Sometimes it is just small talk, but some of us are sincerely interested in learning about the host even if we want a show too.

Mistake? I dont see how she mmade a mistake. I think on the contrary-its a great promotion:) Her english is great, she sounds very witty and funny, if i was a member id check her out right away. Ofc members who think that hosts here have no right to complain about anything, they have to just shut up and please them whatever it takes-wont like her post, but hey-who cares abt them?

It isn't about her right to complain. It is about the attitude she displays in her post. A lot of members like to chat, even if they want a show, and it is only natural to ask where someone is from on a site with people from all over the world.
She is in Glamour now, I believe. I guess she needs to go back to Instant Action if she has no interest in chatting. (At least this is what glamour hosts say if you ask for a show, lol.) But even there, it is natural to ask where a person is from, and HOSTS ask me all the time. And if her post is a "promotion", which I doubt, that would be another reason to stay away.
There are things you accept when doing this job. Among them are "Hi.", "Hru?", "What's your name?", "How old are you?", and "Where are you from?" If a host has a problem with any of that, even if she has to go through it 1000 times a day, I rather not see her. Wow, I happen know Andrea. I think her post was spot on and kudos to her for posting her name. She has nothing to fear, she just said what she didn't like. She happens to be one of the more intelligent, witty, sarcastic, and funny people that I have had the pleasure of meeting on here.

You left me and others with the impression that you don't even want to have a friendly chat. Many of us like CC because we can feel a little bit of a personal connection with the hosts and knowing where the host and member are from are part of that.

Sometimes it's easy to forget, and us ignorant brits are the most guilty, that not everyone in the world speaks english. Maybe then, members who are not that comfortable with english may resort to things like "where are you from BB", etc.

I guess if you just want a show and nothing more, then it doesn't matter, but for those of us that like to chat a little bit sometimes, I think her post will not serve her well.

I agree with Gary. I don't doubt that many are "scum" but many are not. I'm in no position to say whether it's 99% or 90% or 9% who are scum. I suspect that the non-scums outweigh the scums. At least I would hope they do.

The problem with anonymous posts and generic terms like "host" is that any host can use that identifier, it means almost nothing. I don't know if it is you, or another host that i often find myself take offense at what is written. Re-reading your posts above, I have to say I am in agreement with most of what you say. However, I wish you would use a more distinct identifier. if not your screenname, at least something not so generic, and more unique. My apologies.

If hosts (especially European hosts weren't so deceptive in their profile about where they were from or put "just ask me" then I imagine the question wouldn't be asked as often.

It is strange how many times i hear "i cant use microphone because it freeze my computer" but then never see any post about microphone problems in Technical Forum... someone should ask help for this problem when it seems to be problem to get it work for so many hosts.

I think your post is just bitching and speak for yourself please!! I appreciate a conversation with a viewer and as we exchange conversation we are also becoming more comfortable with each other. I am in Glam and such a question I ask frequently and am asked often too. I however have never been asked while I am flirting or teasing or removing clothes.....they are definitely thinking and writing other more complimentary comments.

Well, unfortunately, you just have to deal with guys leaving if you either won't say the country or say it, and they don't like it. I usually ask where a host is from, but I wouldn't leave if she wouldn't say. I might not be as interested in getting to know her at that point, so if I was 100% interested in chatting, meeting new people, and making new friends, then maybe I would leave. But I am interested in sex too so not telling me your country wouldn't keep me away.
And leaving because you say you are from a certrain country seems strange, but I know guys do it. I don't get the anti-Romania thing, for example. One site has this big anti-Romania thing, but some of the top hosts there are Romanian, and a Romanian has been the top host for the past two months so obviously enough members like Romanians. It is an American thing. Unless you are an American Indian everyone in the USA came originally from somewhere else. It is just something we want to know. Sure it is small talk but I think it is genuine interest in where you are from. I have met people from all over the world and found out a little about their countries because of CC. I frankly don't understand why hosts don't put it down in their profile. Easy. But if it is said to a woman the first time one meets her, or in a casual relationship, then in my opinion it is condescending and sexist. Also "BB", to me, is quite annoying. I know it is shorthand, but is it really necessary to use shorthand in chat situations? Text messages, maybe, but not in an actual chat conversation.
However, as far as the question, "Where are you from?" I feel that you are overreacting. People make small talk when they are just getting to know a person. It's a way to break the ice, to fill in the gap when one doesn't know what else to say. Most importantly, it's a way to learn more about the person. Personally, I like knowing where a person is from. It's not going to change my opinion about the person, it's just nice to knowing a little bit more about her..
I laughed when you wrote about those who ask it at inappropriate times. Tried picturing you typing with your butt. A wonderfully funny image!
However, not everyone is adept at social situations. Personally, Im a bit uncomfortable in sex-chat. I feel quite comfortable sexually in real life, and usually have a pretty clear grasp of how to proceed in real life settings. But for some reason, when I'm in video, I freeze up. Trying to translate natural actions into words feels strange, and often I'm at a loss for words. What do I say? What do I do? I suspect that others have the same kind of uncomfortableness, and uncertainty about what to say or do and that is most likely the reason their small talk comes at inopportune times.
Also remember, while you do this for a living, day in day out, and can take the entire process in stride, they may be novices at it
Throw in cam2cam, and for some, the situation has escalated from uncomfortable uncertainty to anxious self-consciousness, because now they have the added concerns of are they attractive to the host, or is their sexual performance great? People often say seemingly stupid things when under that kind of pressure. It helps ease the tension.
So I guess what I'm saying is, try not to let it bother you so much. It's easy to latch onto something and let it become a pet peeve. But when it becomes a pet peeve, it usually only irritates us more and more when it happens again.

wow - sooo not true. I have spent months in Romania and Czech Republic. Fitness and health is definitely NOT a fad. Everyone under 30 smokes like a forest fire - at least a pack a day and 2 packs a day is not unusual. There are less than 20 gyms in the whole country, you never see anyone jogging, and riding a bicycle in the city would be suicide. And the lines at American fast food restaurants are out the door. The only accurate point is the walking. Traffic sucks and a car is a luxury, so most people walk and take the bus. A cab driver will get angry and tell you to walk if you get in and ask to go less than 20 blocks.
What you see here is the cream of the crop - the girls that are hot enough to make money on their looks. Believe me, in any club or coffee shop, for every hot 25 year old girl that looks 18, there are 10 that look 40...and a rough 40.

When I was in Eastern Europe, I didn't think the women were a lot hotter than Americans, but Eastern Europeans are more stylish and know how to present themselves better with clothes and makeup. Yes there are very expensive cars, homes, etc. in the USA and the this is a very wealthy country. Not just in larger cities but all over. Even many college students drive Mercedes, BMW and Lexus.

I attend and work at a university with tons of international students. Most of the woman are slender, use very little makeup, and eat and exercise when they arrive. Only downside is quite a few smoke. After 4 years in America. They have put on 25+ pounds, wear tons of makeup, are in horrible shape and still smoke. Outside of the US...people walk more, eat less processed packaged foods, eat modest portions and smoke. They also tend to stay out of the sun in the warm weather....I have seen some smoking hot girls wearing big sun hats and tanning with 50 SPF suncreen on. They know sun cause wrinkles. But leave it to America to really make you unhealthy and unhealthy looking.

I worked at a university for 20 years and know what I am talking about. The drug use is out of control. Heroin, crack, coke, speed, bath salts etc. Its much worse than the 60s and no I wasn't in college then, I did 2 combat tours in Vietnam. And these girls are fat these days. The only nice looking ones are in movies or TV or doing porn in Hollywood or they date Hugh Hefner or Donald Trump.

All American produced food is not GMO. By regulation, anything labeled as being organically produced must also not be genetically modified.
And the EU does not completely forbid GMO foods, but they do require that such foods be clearly identified as such. If I were European I would be on my defensive though - such regulations are weakening. For instance, GMO animal feed is being allowed to enter European markets this summer where they weren't allowed before.

I'm sorry, but you seem misinformed. US Department of Agriculture guidelines simply do not allow genetically modified crops to be certified organic. If you are in America and buying food that is certified organic, by law, that food cannot be genetically modified.
If you ever find yourself in the US and you want to be assured that you aren't eating anything GMO, then buy organic. It's that simple.

It is not the meat that is making people fat.....it is the pre-packaged convenience foods and fast food because Americans have very busy lives! It still comes down to preference. I eat meat here and vegetables and fruit and I don't have a weight problem.

I think if a host has an awful connection she is not be on CC that night. If a member tells here the video is slow and jerky (not that kind) the session should end. The member should get his money back and they can try another day. This is if the host has a good connection most days but now and then it can be slow. If it is always slow..the host should be in another line of work and CC should monitor that. Not sure if they can measure the speed on their end but there should be a minimum throughput from her camera to allow a video to begin.

Its my guess CC has it anonymous for a reason. And I do not see them changing any time soon. I go to another site that has a somewhat similar forum but your user name appears in every post. Also you have to be a registered member and you have to buy credits once a month to be able to post. Anyone can read the forums.
It is my guess that host hosts and members prefer to have the forums anonymous. Or at least there are many that would like to remain anonymous while others post with the same user name. But of course all posters are known to CC. And if there was a poll taken I have no doubt the vast majority of hosts and viewers would prefer to stay anonymous.

As the forums are used by probably no more than 0.1% of the registered hosts/members (a totally unscientific figure I concede, but plausible) I don't think any changes should be made to the forums until there is nothing left to do anywhere else on the site.

Well, we aren't talking about Instant Action. However, I would still beg to disagree with you. I don't believe any host is a puppet to be manipulated by or for the whims of the viewer. The host will always have the final say as to whether she will or will not do something. If she chooses to be treated as a puppet then that is her prerogrative. Even here at CC, I do believe, if a viewer's request violates a host's values, or makes her feel uncomfortable, she is not bound to oblige. especially if the action requested is illegal, she is not bound to oblige.

I just made a purchase elsewhere that says if I bought by later today, I would get 25% extra credit. I made the purchase & no extra credit showed up in my account. I called the site & was told it was because today is Easter MONDAY & the financial institutions in Europe are closed. Was I lied to? Never ever heard of Easter Monday before in my life

Yes, you were lied to. Not about Easter Monday being a public holiday, but about the financial institutions being closed being a valid reason not to give you the extra credit, especially if the t & c's entitle you to it. A fatuous excuse. And to knows nothing, the Monday is not "celebrated", it's just an extension to the holiday with little other significance.

The "point" has never been defined therefore is not possible to determine whether it has been proven or not. But your argument is disingenuous because what was originally meant by the use of "custom" was presumably something more than just the antics of a few eccentrics.

The "point" was defined by the request by ~one who.. (whether that was you or not) to enlighten regarding UK customs for Easter Monday. Whether you think that it is a silly custom or not is irrelevant (on that point of it being a silly custom I would actually agree with you) as it is, in fact a custom in the UK on Easter Monday.
