Regulars always give 5, in fact I am sure that most viewers give 5.

I always give 5*, and it is usually deserved, but even if the show is disappointing in some respect, I still give 5*. All the hosts are just trying to earn money to the best of their abilities, equipment, attitude etc. and it is not my place to compromise that. Also, it helps redress the balance caused by the 1* machos, who have probably been pulling girl's pigtails since schooldays and never stopped.

if you only give 5, even when it's undeserved, you are defeating the purpose. i give a lot of 5's. i give a lot of 4's also. not every video on this site is perfect. there are plenty of reasons to leave a less than perfect rating. its a good system whereby you can anonymously let a host know she needs to improve...

if you notice, there is one thing missing in my post. i never even said if i liked the video or not. (i did like it by the way)
i made my post as a way to point out to other chathosts how they can get guys like me to watch their premade video. go to the premade video category at any time you like and choose 'small pictures with description' and check it out. you will see that most of the descriptions are nonsense. this, along with the fact that also the photo that has been posted for the session usually has nothing to do with what the host looks like in the video, has driven me away from almost all of these. this was my way of making a post that maybe chathosts might read and learn from.

there is one problem in your idea, every photos are taken from hosts "webcam", even the fake ones.. if i remember it right, hosts cant upload pictures from file to galleries, they must use some camsplitter or similar software to simulate picture coming from hosts webcam.
So with your idea, even the fake pictures would have this webcam picture icon.

There is other idea that would work, but i already know many hosts would be against this... in some other sites there are picture gallery taken live images from host room, and it could be possible here too, if there would be new screen capture from host taken every time first member enters in video chat.
This would be most accurate way to see how host really looks like in her video.

i think this is a great idea. but as you said some chathosts might not like it. so what if cc made it an option for the chathost to enable or disable at will? a guy like me surfing around could see the hosts that are willing to enable it and be happy. a guy who does not care about accurate pics can still surf around and also be happy. this would be great.

read the first part of the post again. you will see my point is that i like it when a host takes a photo when she comes online and uses that as her profile photo. to me she is being very honest. i know exactly what she is going to look like when i go into her room. you do not really need to bother reading my post though, maybe i am the only viewer on this entire site that wants this. if you are doing well as a chathost then disregard what i am writing here and keep being successful!

i can tell you that i have never been disappointed yet with a current photo and then going in to video to see a host. her makeup is the same, her hair is the same, she is even wearing the same clothes. i am not disappointed because the photo matches pretty damm closely what she looks like. yes, i understand you that from moment to moment a photo can give you a different view. but if it is taken right when she logs on i have never been disappointed and never left right away.
i have left right away if i find hosts that concentrate on having professional studio photos taken. and i know as you read this you will probably be very pissed off understanding that is the reason why i leave in a few seconds, as you have spent a lot of money taking these photos. but from my point of view this is how i see it if it makes any sense.
i see a profile photo i like, i am thinking oh no it looks like a professional photo. so i check out some archives, they are beautiful too, but i think oh no they are from a professional photo shoot. so i take a chance and click on the video button. and sure enough, i can barely even tell that it was the woman who was in the photos. i mean i really have to struggle to say to myself, yes, this was the woman in the photos. as far as i can tell some chathosts, and i find this happening more often, are altering their photos so much that it does not even look like them at all anymore.

true. so maybe all this i am posting is just nonsense. along those same lines, i can tell you there is at least one very popular host that if you look at each one of her photoshoots each one looks like a totally different person. also she never posts anything in her archives except professional photos that have been altered.

The fake pictures are generally so easy to identify as being such, alone or in combination with other evidence, that you could just avoid visiting the hosts to begin with. Genuine (but airbrushed etc.) photos are more problematic.

The only "fake" pics I would exit for, and probably rate low, and report, is when the pic is obviously not of the host.

I think you are extreme tho concerning the airbrushed. Even portrait studios do that as a standard procedure to make the person look his/her best. Photoshop is another issue, if it radically alters the host's appearance, but if it is within reason (a few pounds here or there) then why get upset about it? People are constantly changing anyway, dieting, exercising, body sculpting, dyeing hair, tanning (by sun, tanning bed, or spray on)

i do not rate them 1 if it i can actually tell that yes, this was the woman in the airbrushed pic. but i will leave right away if there is huge difference and i have to struggle to figure out if it is the same woman. this is actually what happens most of the time so i do not hurt the host's rating i just dont stay and pay.

i definitely rate 1 and leave when it is obviously not the woman in the photo.

and yes, you are right some of the people on here are posting fake photos to the point of it being ridiculous. i am quite sure the other day i saw a pic of kim kardashian in the archives for one host. as if nobody would notice that it is fake . . . lol

If a host has fake pics, especially if she is working in a studio, she is more than likely oblivious to the fake pics. The studio administrator often makes up their profiles for them, without the host even being aware of the profile description and pics. Or, the pics might be of the actual host, but the description will be a total contradiction of her personality and what she will do.

Then you should report her to cc. I know it sounds like snitching and it may not be the most pleasant thing to do but i guess cc have so many hosts to monitor that some fake pics may slip through. The problem if these don't get reported is more viewers are gonna get pissed off and the entire image of the website is affected, so it is bad business for chathosts with genuine pics too.

That is why I say anything below 4,5 stars is suspect. The ratings are so top heavy, it seems very dificult to get a poor rating or even a rating below 4,5 stars. With all due respect to the hosts, I find it difficult to believe such a large percentage are either good or excellent. Of course, it only takes about 5 to 10 regulars to think a host is 5 stars to lead to that rating so I guess that explains a lot of it. But that just proves the point of being wary of hosts with under 4,5 stars. If they can't even get 5 to 10 guys to visit them consistently, it leads me to think that the quality of their shows might not be consistent either due to poor performance, working on too many sites, et cetera.

And I know that a few 4,5 star hosts don't like that they are the 15th to 20th host on a page since so many hosts have high ratings. But I wonder if they are the ones that are really upset. It seems that they have learned to work within the system and have no need to complain. It is hosts that are under 4,5 stars that would most likely complain, and the answer is not that members are stupid... The answer is to learn to be better hosts.

There is a happy medium. 10 minutes of free chat? I find hosts either do not want to chat whatsover...either come to video and pay to chat or get lost...or they are willing to chat. I always do videos with the second kind...the chatters. But that's me. I think a member who spends hours and hours on free chat with no video should be told...come to video or get lost. Simple and fair.

I am of the opinion that the hosts make too much fuss about it. where is the problem? If a guest in free chat steals your time without the intention to start a session, you can ask him to go, then ignore him, at least block him.

@all hosts I know most of you rail at free public video but having been to many sites that have this, it has the effect of making a viewer go pvt faster than he would have due to the noise of so many free loaders in free public. It is impossible to have a conversation with all of that noise. There is no perfect cam site, they all have pros and cons. Just take an overall view into account when you think about this site or any other.

Free chat is provided by CC as an option for viewers to interact with hosts. Unfortunately, CC has not set guidelines or restrictions on free chat. The sad thing is, some members abuse it. They think it is their personal substitute, for videochat. Some do spend hours in free chat, robbing the host of needed income, sometimes chasing away other would-be viewers, not necessarily intentionally but unintentionally as other viewers may see the conversation, and assume the host is busy and being too polite to interupt they simply leave,, thus a further loss of income for the hos.

I agree that free chat should not be used for extended conversation but for quick "how are you's", minor conversation limited to a few minutes maximum, maybe checking on expectations for videochat. Of course hosts who so choose may use free chat for extended conversations with certain members -- if they choose -- but it is wrong for a member to assume he can dominate the host's time in freechat.

I dont care what country host is from, its not matter to me, and most of my "friend" hosts are from russia, ukraine, or romania.. but i also understand the other side of this case, if someone dont want to chat with for example russian host, and when host dont tell her country in her profile, this viewer has every right to leave after host tell she is from russia, it shouldnt be so big deal.
If host want to avoid these guys who enter only to ask for location, and then leave, host have the option to tell her location in profile, then nobody need to come and ask, simple.

And i really do understand viewers who want to chat with host from his home country, no matter if they have chance to meet in real or not... i would love to have fun with host from finland if i ever could find one, still i never going to really meet any host, im not here for dating... it would just be nice to have fun with common language.

i personally know women in romania of 75-79 looking like 55-59, and they had tough jobs, didn.t went to gym , didn.t put tones of make-up, and ... they smoke (not much, but they do).

It is a common question, and hosts also ask members all the time where they are from. Sometimes it is just small talk, but some of us are sincerely interested in learning about the host even if we want a show too.

It isn't about her right to complain. It is about the attitude she displays in her post. A lot of members like to chat, even if they want a show, and it is only natural to ask where someone is from on a site with people from all over the world.

She is in Glamour now, I believe. I guess she needs to go back to Instant Action if she has no interest in chatting. (At least this is what glamour hosts say if you ask for a show, lol.) But even there, it is natural to ask where a person is from, and HOSTS ask me all the time. And if her post is a "promotion", which I doubt, that would be another reason to stay away.

There are things you accept when doing this job. Among them are "Hi.", "Hru?", "What's your name?", "How old are you?", and "Where are you from?" If a host has a problem with any of that, even if she has to go through it 1000 times a day, I rather not see her. It is no different than greeting a member with a smile when he enters video even if you are in a bad mood. Friendly introductions (including saying where you are from) and greetings are something you just do to help keep members coming back (unless you're in dugeon, lol).

I guess "BB" isn't on my list, lol, but unless the guy is pushing for your street address, at a minimum, providing the country doesn't seem like a big deal. If she doesn't want to answer, then just say "I hope you understand, but I like to keep my location private." (Lying is against the rules.) If the member gets upset, then such is life, but getting angry about such a basic question on a site with people from all over the world seems strange.

I'll give her this. At least she is a Glamour host that seems to strip and doesn't want to talk. Maybe it is a good promotion after all, lol.

Wow, I happen know Andrea. I think her post was spot on and kudos to her for posting her name. She has nothing to fear, she just said what she didn't like. She happens to be one of the more intelligent, witty, sarcastic, and funny people that I have had the pleasure of meeting on here.

You left me and others with the impression that you don't even want to have a friendly chat. Many of us like CC because we can feel a little bit of a personal connection with the hosts and knowing where the host and member are from are part of that.

Personally, I guess that after "hello", and "how has your day been so far?", I may ask "which part of the world are you from?" - that is just to get to know a host a bit better on a first chat, break the ice, and where you are from is of no matter really. I am surprised then, that some of the "where are u from bb" members place a lot of importance on your accent and where you live. I really don't understand this...

Sometimes it's easy to forget, and us ignorant brits are the most guilty, that not everyone in the world speaks english. Maybe then, members who are not that comfortable with english may resort to things like "where are you from BB", etc.

It is okay to put your thoughts, but her post made it seem like she couldn't care less about having a conversation with a member and getting to know him or for him getting to know her. I guess if you just want a show and nothing more, then it doesn't matter, but for those of us that like to chat a little bit sometimes, I think her post will not serve her well.

Personally, even if I want a show, I still like to at least know the host a little bit. Otherwise, I might as well find a free video on a porn site and watch that.

Andreea, I don't know since when you're here, but I started working when we were able to pick the country of origins and I see girls that used to be in my studio that still have USA or UK at their profile. One of them used to say she's from UK because it happened several times for the guys to leave as soon as they hear you're from Romania.
We seem to be rather unfamous, though things changed lately, I didn't see a post about a liar/stalker coming from Romania in ages... I'm thinking about those asking money for a sick grandma or whatever.

There is no argument that men who log into adult cam sites are the collective scum of the earth,myself included. And you are to expect rude behavior from most. It is what it is. And in most pvts I go to, I get the hey bb, hru, where you from.

I can verify in my chat in pvt with Andrea she never once said bb or asked my location nor did I ask her either. Her profile is clearly written and easy to understand in stark contrast to misleading or blank profiles. If anything she is honest, again in stark contrast to some others I've come across on this site. In fact my decision to go in her pvt was based entirely on her well written profile.

But in my opinion , even though I agree with her, her post would have been better off in the Chathost Forum.

I agree with Gary. I don't doubt that many are "scum" but many are not. I'm in no position to say whether it's 99% or 90% or 9% who are scum. I suspect that the non-scums outweigh the scums. At least I would hope they do.

There are always jerks and assholes and sexists and perverts in the world. But there are always great guys, polite, caring, respectful.

If you don't find them that way, then maybe the problem is not them but you? Just a suggestion for consideration.

The problem with anonymous posts and generic terms like "host" is that any host can use that identifier, it means almost nothing. I don't know if it is you, or another host that i often find myself take offense at what is written. Re-reading your posts above, I have to say I am in agreement with most of what you say. However, I wish you would use a more distinct identifier. if not your screenname, at least something not so generic, and more unique. My apologies.

Why would a host get offended by that if she has nothing to hide?? Very interesting that the viewer would be so bored when your butt is in the air that he would then ask that!!
Your post is really out of line especially if you are in softcore when conversation is typical. With how deceptive hosts are here in their profiles especially foreign countries....that would be a very good question for a viewer.

It is strange how many times i hear "i cant use microphone because it freeze my computer" but then never see any post about microphone problems in Technical Forum... someone should ask help for this problem when it seems to be problem to get it work for so many hosts.
Once i offered technical help to host who said she cant get her microphone working, and she pissed off and finally said she cant use microphone because her husband is watching tv lol

I think your post is just bitching and speak for yourself please!! I appreciate a conversation with a viewer and as we exchange conversation we are also becoming more comfortable with each other. I am in Glam and such a question I ask frequently and am asked often too. I however have never been asked while I am flirting or teasing or removing clothes.....they are definitely thinking and writing other more complimentary comments.
I enjoy meeting men from all over the world and I have an interest in people is a lot of why I enjoy this. I am proud to be from my country and I also tell my State when asked. Conversation is a healthy way of getting comfortable with the viewer. Most men that come to softcore and especially Glam are not looking for an immediate strip but do enjoy getting to know a beautiful girl and getting comfortable with them and then play from there.

BUT (probably American hosts do not have that issues) when a dozen of people a day leaves your room without even saying buy when you ame the country, it is frustrating. I am human. I get upset. Well, unfortunately, you just have to deal with guys leaving if you either won't say the country or say it, and they don't like it. I usually ask where a host is from, but I wouldn't leave if she wouldn't say. I might not be as interested in getting to know her at that point, so if I was 100% interested in chatting, meeting new people, and making new friends, then maybe I would leave. But I am interested in sex too so not telling me your country wouldn't keep me away.

And leaving because you say you are from a certrain country seems strange, but I know guys do it. I don't get the anti-Romania thing, for example. One site has this big anti-Romania thing, but some of the top hosts there are Romanian, and a Romanian has been the top host for the past two months so obviously enough members like Romanians. And the same is true for Russians, et cetera. There are popular hosts from all over the world on sites like CC, so I wouldn't worry about saying your country. Most guys probably are just curious.

You could just put in your profile where you are from since something is wrong with the IP location being picked up correctly. Not everyone reads profiles, but it could help. Then the people that don't like your country might stay away if they saw it ahead of time.

It is an American thing. Unless you are an American Indian everyone in the USA came originally from somewhere else. It is just something we want to know. Sure it is small talk but I think it is genuine interest in where you are from. I have met people from all over the world and found out a little about their countries because of CC. I frankly don't understand why hosts don't put it down in their profile. Easy. Downside I like Russian and Ukrainian girls....Romania so so...etc. It has made me think of countries in different ways based on the hosts..how they look ..their personality, etc. which is of course ridiculous...but then so is life.

I'm replying without bothering to read any of the other responses, so if my words are redundant to what others have said please forgive me.

Personally, I think calling anyone "Babe" or "Baby" or "BB" is rude, unless it is a pet name in an already established romantic relationship. But if it is said to a woman the first time one meets her, or in a casual relationship, then in my opinion it is condescending and sexist. Also "BB", to me, is quite annoying. I know it is shorthand, but is it really necessary to use shorthand in chat situations? Text messages, maybe, but not in an actual chat conversation.

However, as far as the question, "Where are you from?" I feel that you are overreacting. People make small talk when they are just getting to know a person. It's a way to break the ice, to fill in the gap when one doesn't know what else to say. Most importantly, it's a way to learn more about the person. Personally, I like knowing where a person is from. It's not going to change my opinion about the person, it's just nice to knowing a little bit more about her..

I laughed when you wrote about those who ask it at inappropriate times. Tried picturing you typing with your butt. A wonderfully funny image!

However, not everyone is adept at social situations. Personally, Im a bit uncomfortable in sex-chat. I feel quite comfortable sexually in real life, and usually have a pretty clear grasp of how to proceed in real life settings. But for some reason, when I'm in video, I freeze up. Trying to translate natural actions into words feels strange, and often I'm at a loss for words. What do I say? What do I do? I suspect that others have the same kind of uncomfortableness, and uncertainty about what to say or do and that is most likely the reason their small talk comes at inopportune times.

Also remember, while you do this for a living, day in day out, and can take the entire process in stride, they may be novices at it

Throw in cam2cam, and for some, the situation has escalated from uncomfortable uncertainty to anxious self-consciousness, because now they have the added concerns of are they attractive to the host, or is their sexual performance great? People often say seemingly stupid things when under that kind of pressure. It helps ease the tension.

So I guess what I'm saying is, try not to let it bother you so much. It's easy to latch onto something and let it become a pet peeve. But when it becomes a pet peeve, it usually only irritates us more and more when it happens again.

Of course, I recognize that there are those who are just simply pure jerks, who have no sense of caring for the host as a person, but for the most part, I suspect that the majority of members on this site are not that way.
