If you're in open video then you need to treat all who enter equally. Can't say I blame the bloke who rated you low. If someone wants your personal singular attention, that's what 121 is for.

I agree with "another viewer" in general except I wouldn't say she needs to treat all equally. I think that the first viewer should perhaps get some priority in terms of what type of show the host is giving, especially if the host is in the middle of a show when subsquent viewers enter. But if they are just chatting, she should probably distribute her time pretty evenly and all, including the first viewer, should understand that her response might be a little slow since it is open.

In terms of the host saying it isn't fair, the second member spent his money to come visit you. Even if it is $0.50, why should he be told "Get out! I'm busy!" Did you say that? No, but you might as well have. If anything, you should have told the first member (if couldn't hear the most annoying notification in the porn site world that you had INCOMING CONTACTS) that another guy had entered and that you might be a little slow in responding. The first viewer took the risk of this happening by not going 121 so that is too bad for him. The second viewer did nothing wrong by entering open so why tell him to get out?

If you want to avoid this problem in the future, if it is a regular, give a password ahead of time. If it is a new person and you've been talking awhile, ask if he wants a password since you're having a good chat and you don't want to get interrupted. I bet you will get a very favorable response, at least, I personally would like to hear that. There is a risk that he might want a password all the time thereafter, but since he wasn't going 121 and you don't want more than one guy anyway, this doesn't seem to be a problem. And you might end up having a long-term regular this way.

I have gone in to open and always yielded to the first viewer. If we had a voyeur option on this site, it would eliminate a lot of this shit. And if a viewer wants privacy, that is why there is a 121 option. Just remember that 121 only assures privacy not a nude show in Glamour/little shy.

Camcontacts should really introduce a minimum time viewers have to be in chat before they are allowed to rate and leave a comment. On another very good site I broadcast it's 4 minutes, viewers can leave comments to which host can respond and rating is not anonymous!

again this same false statement about rating in cc. i have read how cc explains the rating to hosts, and there was simply said that even viewer is able to rate after 1 second in video, this rate do not count unless viewer have spent atleast 2 minutes in video.

Sorry but it has never been said that a rating does not count until after the viewer has been in room at least 2 min. You are thinking of another site!
This is one of the big problems with this rating system ...

maybe bigger problem in ratings is this:

While the other members may have a point I am happy to accept the risk that I may get a reply such as yours when I jump into someone else's video. When it happens I thank the host, say goodbye and rate her 5 stars and will probably visit her later (in 121).

The couple of times that I did ask a member to come back at the request of the first viewer in the room...have not been good so I look at it from the perspective of the guys coming into the room and I notify the first member that there are others in the room. He was taking a chance when he did not take you to 121 and OPEN means open to all viewers! Maybe you will learn too. You can't change how the viewers feel so you might as well try not to offend them...their only recourse if they took offense is to rate you low.

Right, thats normal practice. When host has only "open session" option (button) it is obvious that she is with guest(s) already. If some guy does not realize, hosts tell him.

Other than the horn that honks in the hosts room the original member does not have any notice that new guests have joined and he should be told so that he can understand he is not the one and only any longer. He can then choose to stay and share her attention or come back later and in 121 :) He is perfectly aware that he is not in 121 when he came in.... so he should be prepared for that to happen. 121 was an option when he chose to visit her.

Well if she has only the open option displayed I assume that there is someone in video otherwise both the open and 121 option would be displayed. However there have been posts that suggest a host can display only the open option.

So to answer your question yes I know someone else is in video. My main reasons for jumping in are

1. To hopefully catch the host naked (then I will stay silently).
2. To see if she is as attractive as her photos suggest and to give me an excuse to escape quickly if she is not.

I only go into open with hosts I have never had a video with. If it is a host I know I will wait until she is free and take her 121.

all sessions should be 121 (just one member in pvt) plus some external voyeur view for the ones who like to watch ... in silence... it.s almost impossible for a host to make 2-3-4 simultaneous conversations , click on pvt-texting for each(!) line AND do a show all in same time, obviously someone will leave unhappy .

an external voyeur would not bother the show , just watch, they can be 10 at once(no matter) but then the host will be able to focus on her show properly in this way to her only ONE member.
the voyeurs not to be allowed to give ratings.

this way would be fair for both members and hosts.

So nostalgic when I remember davedave rounding up members in commchat for a wet T shirt show - we each paid 50 cents only but the host was happy cos she had up to 6 members at the same time. We guys took it in turns to chat to the host during her perfomance. Very friendly and fun.

I have a PC that is over 8 years old, uses I.E. 8, has low RAM, et cetera, and I have no problems. Let me put it another way: my PC sucks, and I still have no problems entering video, using cam to cam, viewing pics, et cetera. I sometimes have problems with sound, and get a static-like sound if the host is using sound, but that was happening way before CC updated anything.

I also tried Google Chrome, and everything was okay. I did notice that the graphics seemed a little less clear, but I could surf the site and see the pics okay. And perhaps the graphics were always like this since I never went to CC on Google Chrome before today.

I really don't understand what is going on with people. I do know that there was a recent Java update and a recent Flash update so if you haven't updated your software, perhaps that will help. If you have installed Sun's Java, then go to your control panel and choose the Java icon. Then just choose the update tab and update the software.

Also, try doing an extensive clean of all of your cookies, temporary internet files, et cetera. Right click on the Internet Explorer "e" on your desktop and choose "properties". You should be at the "General" tab. Choose the "Delete" button in the middle of the page. Put green check marks in all of the boxes and then press the new "Delete" button at the bottom of the window. You should always take these steps just before you shut down your computer. Others may disagree and say that it slows things down, but that is only true the first time you go back to a site. And like I said, I have a very old PC and all is fine. In fact, because I'm going to porn sites, lol, I do this all the time during the day and also make sure to manually update my anti-virus software throughout the day as well rather than waiting for the automatic updates.

Finally, the last thing you should do is go to the following site:

That site will allow you to clear out all of your Adobe flash cookies. Click the "Delete all sites" button on the right. I do this every now and then, but it wouldn't hurt to do it each day. You can also access this link when you are clearing browsing data on Google Chrome. You will see a link for it just next to the "Clear browsing data" button.

I don't know anything about Firefox, Mozilla, or other browsers, but I'm sure they have ways to clean out old files as well. I would do it for every browswer installed on your computer.

If none of this helps, and if no browser work for you, I have no idea what is wrong. Like I said, with both I.E. 8 and Google Chrome, I don't have problems. I have a pretty good internet connection most of the time but my PC is old so I am surprised others are having so much trouble.

To me this and all cam sites are for adult entertainment.. And there are no doubt (from what I'm told by hosts) no shortage of asshole members on site (and other sites too). That having been said, the Long Term/Marriage category is very misleading. Also a number of hosts and members have posted on these boards about meeting and marrying. You are assuming that is the person that gave you a low rating. The ratings are updated once a day, at 00:00 CC time.

Are you sure he was the person that gave you a low rating? Even if he left your video at 23:59 CC time and the ratings updated 1 minute later, it could have been someone that visited you earlier that day.

Also, in terms of being allowed to meet, CC doesn't care. You can give your email, your phone number, et cetera. Some other sites definitely care, but not CC.

If you told him you are not allowed to meet, he may have given you a low rating because he felt you were lying. Some studio bosses may have different rules and say no meetings, et cetera, but once again, CC does not., so if you are at a studio, you need to say your boss doesn't let you meet or give out personal information to protect the safety of the other girls at the studio. Do not say it is CC setting these rules because most of us know that is not true, and like I said, the guy might have given you a low rating since he felt you lied to him, sort of like all the Glamour hosts that say they can't strip, lol.

Of course, giving a low rating because of not being willing to meet, even if a host lied about the reason, is an asshole move. But like I said, you don't know if this guy was the person that rated you lower unless he was the only viewer that day.

Also remember, if you had, for example, 5 stars, he still could have given you 4 stars and that could have lowered you to 4,5 stars. It doesn't necessarilly mean he gave you a bad rating. It just means he might have given you a rating lower than what you had before so when it was recalculated, your rating went down.

Minutes in video is also affected by price so that gives a lower priced host an advantage. Also, sometimes a session starts off well and then turns ugly. A host shouldn't get credit for a longer video if she, for example, told a member that she would strip after 10 minutes, and then didn't deliver as promised. Or, for example, yesterday, a host I was with started talking to her boss or boyfriend (or both, lol) 10 minutes into the session. I stayed since she was hot and doing well enough but then I one starred her for not paying attention. Had she not done that, she would have had 5 from me, but she stopped reading what I was typing, et cetera, so she got 1 star.

Now if you meant that the member's rating is multiplied by the minutes in video, that could work a little better, but there is still the problem of lower priced hosts having an advantage. Also, I think it would make most hosts end up with very high ratings and that is already a problem in my view. I think too many average hosts have 4,5 and 5 stars since members tend to be generous despite the complaints from hosts.

I would increase the sample size of votes from the last 10 to the last 25, and make it so one vote per member of these 25 votes (and try to confirm not multiple accounts by looking at CC's records and IP address). That won't solve all the problems, but it would help.

Had you not had such a negative, attacking, hostile attitude, I would have read "our" site as meaning you felt like CC was a part of your life and you were distrubed by the changes. But the overall attitude of your first few posts indicates that you meant much more than that. It is clear that you feel that you have some type of ownership interest in CC in the sense that they owe you something as if you were a stockholder.

Putting aside the debate over the use of "our", the underlying point is this: the hostility in your post was equilvalent to a two-year old child getting upset that he wasn't getting his way. There were much better ways to express the fact that you didn't like the changes or the technical glitches. agreed, two thumbs down. I've avoided the hd pics in the past for the way they freeze you window or tab, guess I'll be avoiding everything now.

It was fine before, one could zoom and see the pics and scroll through them in the corner of your screen while you were doing something else. Screw the jokes about glasses, one COULD zoom them larger. Now it will be tied to the page. So much for (lack of) progress.

I'm not a frequent visitor to the forums, so please excuse my ignorance... but when were the viewers consulted about any proposed changes to the site?

I access CC via Windows and Linux and the 'old' popup photos worked most everywhere.. but I'm not sure about this new scheme, as I haven't tried it out yet. If it's some Java(script) thing, it will probably cause all sorts of problems and I expect the site will not fallback to the old scheme if the server detects non-IE8+ browsers.

On the other side of it, I would prefer to see some updates in how the video sessions are managed. Having detachable video displays, selectable bandwidths, and frame rate displays for viewers would all be useful features for enhanced browsers.

Thanks to CC for attempts to improving the site... but I'd appreciate a different mechanism for determining what features to include and how the rollout is to happen.

It sounds like eventually these changes could be a positive improvement especially for the viewers.
It would certainly have been nice for some kind of announcement from CC prior to the changes that were implemented and asking for patience through the process with some kind of explanation of what the final results would be. Also stating what browser would work the best to eliminate this confusion and frustration.
Even though we are not the decision makers for this site we are all key elements to the success of it.

That link contained an ID that linked my account to the referrer and they got a piece of everything I spent....there are expenses in business and CC is not cheap to run or to attract new members.

What CC gets depends on how the member joined. If he joned via a refeering site CC may get 60 pct or may get half. of course they have to make payments to referring sites and meet other operating expenses from this. The split between studio and host is decidedc by the studio. I do not know crrent trand but in the past it was often 50-50 or 60pc studio/40 pc host but sometimes the studio took more.

Latvian studio girl I used to be quite enamored with told me she got 17% of the Studio's take. hardly seems worth it to work for that. Working for peanuts would be almost be better. Can you imagine. $2/minute, 50 minutes show, total take $100. so for 50 minute show the host would only make $17. Maybe in other countries that's a good wage, but in USA it would suck big time.

the studio gets a half and from that half the host gets approx 1/3 to 1/2 depending on the studio. This is true in south africa dont know about other countries

They're tired of being mislead and lied to. The only times I've left in the first minute is when the photos do not match live, the host is live on at least one or more other sites and ignores me in video or when it is clear the host has lied about what she does in video. CC does advise viewers to leave video in less than 2 minutes if things are not going well in video.

So many reasons.... profile pics are often very well done with the host appearing at her best. Or they are staged to hide a host's imperfections. You can have a great profile pic and a not so great video presence.

Then there are girls who look awful in video even with great pics because it is the middile of the night...the girls are tired. The girls are dressed in t shirt and jeans...not the lingerie in the profile pic...they are not smiling...not into the performance.
