a viewer does not have the ability to type in private when on a mobile....or at least that is what some some say....and as for asking questions, it depends on what the questions are that you are asking, if it is about the session then that should be private between the host and the viewer and she should not be giving details.

if a person is on a mobile and not able to be at a pc, then there is not much that can be done....you can only warn the person that all they type is being seen by others....if they decide to keep typing...and decide they want to stay then you work around it the best you can...it is not like the host was typing for all to read was it?

When a host does a prvt session, she can't control what the person does, whether they type in public or not. Not all members are on pc's and some don't have the option to prvt text, say like on a mobile system. If persons in free chat are watching what is typed, she cant' control what the person in her session may say . And if asked about it, that's her business to keep it prvt.

Personally she sounds cranky...When anyone types in open it is visible to all whether she likes it or not. When in open or 121 and a member types in open quite often members in chat make comment....so what! It's not a fricken class room it's a porn site! If you play her little games of being chastised for writing in open or making comment about others comments in open....my suggestion is ......see a new host!!

There are two reasons that I ask to not type in a video for all to read...

1. When in a video most members do not want to read what a member is doing to himself in a session.

2. When in a video i ask members to not type for all to read because there are times that it creates jealousy with other members.

In free chat I ask to not type for all to see because often a member says things that he does not want others knowing and some members don't even realize that they are typing for all to read...

The session in question the member was asked to not type for all to read, but said she did not have that option due to being on a mobile as their pc was at work. The viewer had agreed that she would not be comfortable for all reading. The option was given to wait for another time or to type discreetly, the viewer decided to type discreetly. My typing was not visible for all to see and when the viewer typed a certain thing, I reminded the her that others could see and the viewer curbed what she was saying. then when another party started typing, that was when they said ok and we agreed to end the session. The original poster of this thread is simply upset because I would not talk of what was going on in a private video..and assumed I was doing more than I really was...

Yes members are paying, but they are paying hosts that agree before hand to do something. In any business if the place does not or will not provide the service asked for then the buyer goes to another who will.

Just like the same member comes to room three times, each of those three times the session will not be the same, either he wants different or simply the situation is different.

I think part of the problems is a host can vary what she does in video from day to day and especially from member to member. For members it seems like a simple choice...you strip or your don't. To hosts it is often more complex and involves how they feel that day, what their financial situation is, how they feel about the member, who is in the studio at that time, did they have a couple of beers with dinner, do they feel sexy or pretty that day, what they are wearing, how they feel their hair looks, etc.etc.etc. We are dealing with young pretty girls essentially and to expect them to act the same way in every video goes a long way to answer why we are on CC. But I still agree with your post. For hosts who do not strip under any circumstances...they should state that clearly.

Many people have said this is not a dating site, but with a response like that, its like we all have to be dating the host. the other time was because I got sick, and I got sick because I ate the food that was in that bar, so I could not do my show and again I got paid for it...

but on here if we do not do shows then we do not get paid anything. so if you are with a host who does not do what you want, they you have every right to leave and find a host that will do what you want when you want.

Good idea in theory, but the real problem is that many hosts try to get you into video and delay the "what you can expect from my show part". In other words, since they make more money the longer you stay in video, they want to delay giving the show. And many hosts, even if they are willing to strip, prefer just to chat. This is why there are "misunderstandings". It is because members want one thing and hosts want another. There is not a lack of communication. It is a lack of common desires.

I also think that if a member does enter a video and she does stall then the members are able to say no and leave and then complain that she stalled and did not do as agreed upon...

There is no difference under the rules that I know of. Both the hard core and soft core host must strip if they lose. But many hosts stall during hi lo, and you will probably have a bigger problem with that issue with soft core hosts. Personally, I would avoid hi lo altogether with most hosts and just ask for a show even if it is from a soft core host that says go 121.

In "little shy", the host might remove her panties sideways and sit down without letting you see what she is shy to show, while in "Not so shy" she shouldn't decline any request to be more explicit...

I think this whole thread makes the point of why I hate hi lo. I strongly recommend you reconsider using this option. But if you do use it, and the host either stalls such as taking forever to remove a piece of clothing or pick higher/lower or she refuses to get naked or show you her body once naked (not necessarily spreading in soft core but at least showing you all and continuing to do so), then do yourself and every member a favor and report her to CC and request a credit. This game is a big scam in my opinion so be careful.

One of the most common and saddest post are those from members searching for missing hosts. Over the past 8 years or so on CC i have seen hundreds. Most host when they leave...just disappear. The non adult rules are very strict. As another poster said, nothing having to do with sex is allowed. A host can't even drop her pen, bend over to pick it up, revealing her panties under a skirt, unless CC thinks it was 100% accidental and not an attempt to get around the rules.

I am not sure who or what you are talking about. It sounds like you had a friend that worked as a host here and that she had a problem. She then posted about that problem, perhaps at your suggestion, and she got a bunch of insensitive answers. Then, the problem overwhelmed her and she is now dead, perhaps even by suicide.

I have no idea if I am right, but that is the best that I can do at decoding your post. Perhaps you really just posted for yourself, in honor of her memory, and don't really care if we understand or not and have no intention of telling us more.

All I can say is that there are good people and there are bad people everywhere, but, not that you should blame yourself for anything, an adult website really isn't the best place to come for advice. I suppose an exception would be if her problem was that she fell in love with a member and had her heart broken to such a degree that she couldn't take it any more and was asking for advice. Still, anyone here will tell you that while real relationships can develop, most of the time it is a bunch of nonsense. That would explain why people would be insensitive about such a problem. Nevertheless, even sarcastic responses could have served as a wake up call for her.

The post was on the 27th August, there were many replies, the usual mix of cc replies but i don't think anyone saw the post as a cry for help from a potential suicide victim. I think it is very hard for internet friends to see how serious problems such as depression are, I have some internet friends that i would say i'm very close to ( i've met them on occasions) and they have all been depressed at various times, i've tried to help cheer them up, i've tried pointing out that there are people with worse problems surviving, i've tried just being someone they can talk to about all their problems but i have to admit that there are times when i've thought to myself... here we go again.
I'm not there to see how they are 24 hrs a day, i don't always see when they turn away and cry, i don't know how deep the problem is!
Regarding the root cause: why do people lie about being friends, i don't know, some people will always lie, that is just their nature or upbringing, the internet makes it easier to lie and then not have to deal with the consequences face to face.
I'm very sorry for the loss of your friend and the pain that is causing to her family. At least it seems she had a real friend in you and if it wasn't suicide i apologise.

I found the thread. It was so long that I read it fast so maybe I missed something, but I think I got the general idea. I guess my decoding of the original post above was pretty good.

If I understood correctly, this host thought that some guy was her friend and that the guy got her to sleep with him because he convinced her that to prove she was really his friend that she needed to have sex. Or maybe it was that once they met, even though she had said no sex before they met, the guy lied about having feelings for her and convinced her to have sex to show she loved him to. Anyway, I think I got the general idea, and that this situation happened more than once. And I think she went to visit the guy instead of the other way around.

I think that the guys involved were members, although I am not sure if she actually said this since she kept saying it had nothing to do with money, videos, et cetera. But what I am sure is that this type of thing happens all of the time in "real life" too and for the original poster above to attack us in any way is completely unfair. What happened to her happens to people every day, and the CC community is no better and no worse than the rest of the world regarding this particular issue. Just as I said in my initial response, there are good and bad people everywhere.

Further, as for responses to her post, as you said, it was the usual mix, but there were definitely some appropriate responses that sincerely tried to be useful. I vaguely recall seeing the original post, skimming over it, saying to myself that is was the same old, same old and moving on. But many others that did read it seemed to try to be helpful and to attack them now is completely unfair.

Also, there is no indication that I saw that this person was suicidal assuming that is what happened. She is angry and hurt but does not seem unstable. Her post is pretty well written, in fact so much so that based on a few words that she used, I think she may have been American or British, or at least studied English for a long time, and does not appear to be irrational at all. I also think the original poster here is a native English speaker as well which makes me think that the woman was too since they were friends in real, of course I am just guessing.

Nothing she says seems to be a "cry for help". It just seems to be a person saying "Why do people feel the need to lie and hurt people?" I think most of us have asked ourselves that question when we have been hurt and she just felt like venting about it in writing. But there is nothing there in what I saw to make me think she was emotionally unstable.

She obviously had some type of emotional issues. I believe that she said that she was not some young pup and had been hosting awhile so I am guessing she was a bit older (whether that means 25, 35 or 45, I have no idea), and that despite having friends and family that cared about her, she felt lonely anyway to the point where she might take her own life. How the original poster above could ever expect any of us to see any of that is beyond me.

This is a tragic situation and very sad. But I cannot say enough that I don't think anyone on CC that posted was responsible for what happened, and the more I think about it, the more angry I get at the original poster above for trying to blame us instead of looking in the mirror. There was nothing that to suggest that the woman was unstable and that things would end in tragedy, nor did anyone attack her to the point where she should have been pushed over the edge unless she was already there, and there was nothing to indicated that she was already at that edge.

Someone here speculated that maybe it was not a true story. I certainly hope not, but maybe the woman from the original post on August 27 wrote the above post too to warn people what could happen if we are not sensitive to other's feelings and nobody really died. Unfortunately, I am guessing she actually did die and a friend wrote the above post.

True or not, it does serve as a reminder to be sensitive to one another's feelings and to be honest with one another. But even if true, I don't think that we need to start walking on eggshells and watching every little thing we say. This forum is for expressing opinions and is not the suicide prevention hotline, and as someone suggested, are a bunch of strangers living on their computers (wanking, talking about sex, et cetera) really the ones you want to turn to for advice with a serious problem? There are good people here, but anonymous posts with anonymous responses really aren't the way to go especially on a site like this. She did at least turn to a real friend in real life, but sadly he could not help and wants to blame us for his loss now.

If someone indicates that they clearly need help, that would be different, but that woman's post seemed very typical. That is why I skipped over quickly and didn't even bother to respond. Contrarily to what some above posts state, I tend to believe the microcosm of such a site is indeed not representative of the whole population, but still reflects some features of real life.

I was told somebody could be dying in the street in New York, and passers-by would just walk around and along to avoid getting into trouble. It's surely the same here, as we could read: "this is not a place for dramas".

As in other professions (or in a jungle), hosts compete for business (or survival), with more or less toughness and respect for others, and rather considering other hosts' problem as a normal outcome or advantae for themselves in this pitiless competition.

And there are people who feel alone in a crowd, alone in a city where they are ignored from others. Same here, except that a host has the opportunity to see guests when he or she is on line.

You surely did the right thing to suggest your friend should drop this "bottle with a message" into the sea. If she had found a true friend on line - it happens too - she could have shared a burden that was too heavy for her shoulders. I do not see how those that did post could be in any way held responsible for what has happened. It was clear from her post that she was in such a desperate state that this was her last resort. it angers me because I hear you blaming us for your friend's suicide. I'm sorry but this is NOT an appropriate place to come for advice. There is a term used in AA groups -- "Stinking Thinking" -- and in my opinion, coming to a webcam sex site for advice on social relationships is just that. For one thing, seeking advice from anonymous strangers is crazy. Go to a trusted friend, or to a professional counselor, not to some nameless, faceless person whom you have no idea if you can trust to have your best interest at heart, or if they have any idea what they are talking about. Given the nature of this site, and these forums, what other kind of responses did your "friend" expect?

Secondly, it angers me, because frankly, while SOME replies said in the orginal thread may have been critical or uncaring (and not all were, not by any means), a person who commits suicide is emotionally unstable. And while the replies in the original thread may have been "the straw that broke the camel's back", they are not the primary factor in your friend's supposed suicide. The problem was within her.

Over the years I've had many hosts on Yahoo IM and as soon as I was not spending money in their pvt room, the IM contact ceased. Are we clear?

At one point when I had my business running I had over 150 hosts in my yahoo. I will get about 100 offline messages every morning such as: I miss you baby - Where are you? - I love you, come to me - You are the best I know - etc. I lost my business I stopped coming in video and guess what? Not a single wh*re contacted me ever after I explained them I wasnt coming to video because I had lost my business. Now I have a new business, new host friends, but no more yahoo I dont believe a word they say anymore. Ha!
