I understand your frustration, but there really is no perfect system. And if anything, the current system inflates the ratings.

The idea of having just one account per member is a good one for ratings. CC claims that a member cannot vote with multiple accounts but I have questions if that is true. I have heard too many hosts tell me things like they didn't have any video for a few days but their rating changed, for example, to believe that there aren't many technical difficulties with the rating system. The problem is that it could be a little difficult for CC to enforce a one account per user rule although they could greatly reduce the amount of accounts members have. And if a member could have just one account, it would make it easier for hosts to block members.

But the 10 minute idea, wth all due respect, is ridiculous. I have had plenty of hosts do things such as not be on cam for more than a minute, ignore me during the first minute, be rude in that first minute, et cetera. I am sure that you have had guys come into your video and act in a rude way in the first 10 seconds. Well, a few hosts do the same. Why shouldn't they get 1 star in those cases? But I would make it that the member must stay one complete minute instead of his ability to stay 10 seconds before he can vote to at least give the host a chance to win him over. He is billed for the first minute even if he stays less, but he can vote right away. And I probably wouldn't mind if the member had to stay at least 2 full minutes before voting to be a bit more fair to the host. But more than that is unfair to the member. I've had plenty of problems in the first one or two minutes for me to have to wait 10 minutes before I give 1 star.

Despite your worries about the rating system, however, go through the ratings of hosts online at any given moment and you will see they are generally very high. Most hosts have at least 4 stars or more and a very large percentage have 4,5 or 5 stars. In my view, the ratings are way too high and if a host cannot get a high rating, then she is not doing a good job. I hear friends complain all the time about one minute guys rating them badly but at the end of the day, they still have 4,5 or 5 stars so either CC is handling the rating system well in terms of protecting hosts from one minute voters or the hosts with lower ratings simply are bad hosts.

CC will not change the rating system because of this. They like having hosts have lots of stars because it makes the site look better. A guy doesn't want to see a bunch of hosts with 1, 2 or 3 stars. He wants to think that he is on a site many hosts are really good. So CC likes the site this way. They let a host have just a few regulars that can vote two times each, give her 5 stars and bam!!! She's got 4,5 or 5 stars! That is all it takes, and a host that can't get a high rating like that really needs to ask herself if it is the one minute voter or if she is just not that good at what she does. Let members vote one time each with just one account and expand the votes from 10 to say 25 and I bet ratings would drop real fast since regulars wouldn't have as much of an impact, but it would be a lot more accurate. Neither you nor CC wants this, but I as a member sure do.

With all due respect to any host that does not like her rating, based on what I have seen her over the years, it is a lot more likely the host's fault than the member's fault if the rating is not a good one. Your real problem is that so many hosts have 4,5 and 5 stars because of rating inflation that anything less than that puts you 1/2 way down the page and guys never get to you. That would seem to indicate guys are being too generous a lot more often than they are being one minute voters so again, that seems to say to me that a host with a lower rating just isn't all that good at what she does, at least compared to other hosts here.

And another thing, you can always open a new account for free if your rating is too low. Some hosts do this. Wouldn't it be fair to limit you not just to two accounts online at the same time, but two accounts period? Unless you leave a studio, why should a host be able to open several accounts and just use the one or two with the highest stars, for example? If we are going to make changes here, let's make sure they are fair to everyone.

I think the ratings should be time weighted averages, the longer you are in video the more your rating counts. A one hour 5 star rating should account for more than a 1 minute 1 star rating, just as a 1 hour 1 star rating should count for more than a 1 minute 5 star rating.

I've considered that but I think it gives an advantage to lower priced hosts since guys may stay longer. One of my favorite hosts charges $0.60/minute and I will stay in her room for an hour or more at times. If the price is a lot higher, I certainly am not going to want to stay nearly as long or at least I am going to think twice about it.

Also, your suggestion would probably lead to additional star inflation. A one star situation usually arises within the first few minutes. I can think of exceptions of course such as when a host promises a show after chatting awhile but never strips or stalls so long that the member cannot take it any more, but usually, it probably will happen sooner than later. But the 5 star situation is most likely to occur from a longer chat. Therefore, you will automatically be overweighting the higher ratings. If the host is generally doing a good job, there is no need to do this. Just look how high the ratings are already.

If you want a more accurate, more fair system, expanding the pool from 10 to say 25 votes ( I don't think I'd go much higher than that), combined with a 2 minute minimum, one vote per member policy would work better. Plus, I wouldn't let hosts escape bad ratings with new accounts. I would let them open two accounts, and if they wanted a new one since they wanted to change their name, I would have them close an existing account and transfer those ratings to the new account. Or I would just update the software so they could change their names. This system would be much more fair and accurate and would reduce the effect of the guys that one star because they don't understand or reject the rules about soft core, are simply being vindictive or are trying to hurt one host to help another one because it would expand the sample size from 10 to 25. And it would also reduce the effect of money slaves, regulars, et cetera and give a more reflective picture of a typical session with a host.

I think some hosts just need to accept that they are not as good as other hosts here and that it isn't a bunch of idiots giving them one star that are the problem. Just look at how high the ratings are. How much of an impact can these one starring idiots really be having? And, I cannot speak for everyone, but I know that if I am paying $1,00/minute, I am going to be a lot less demanding in terms of my expectations than if I am paying $2,00/minute so if a host has lower stars, lowering her price might not just get her more video, it may actually end up increasing her rating because guys that are paying less are not necessarily expecting quite as much. Then, she can slowly begin to raise her price again and hopefully do a better job that will allow her to maintain this higher rating in the future.

0.60c per min means 18$ per hour for a host in the best case. would u like to entertain unknown people for that money? I guess no.

What does that have to do with anything? I said a host that I like has that price so I stay a lot longer and that would give her an advantage if ratings were based on amount of time in video. It is the same effect as if a host lowered her price for a few hours so all her regulars can come vote and then raised it later.

The only other thing that I said regarding price is that it is possible that a host could improve her rating by lowering her price since guys might expect less if they are paying less similar to when you pay more for a car, you expect it to be a better car and might be more demanding when you rate that car. I could be wrong about this idea since the lower price might attract more idiots, but generally, I think what a person pays has some relationship to what he expects to receive so a lower price could help a host boost her rating. But I never said everyone should make their price $0.60 or that prices in general were too high or anything like that. Plus, I even said the host could put her price higher after she got some higher ratings. It would just be a temporary price reduction so guys might not be as critical because they weren't paying as much.

I will also note this. I see a lot of 4 star or lower hosts with hot pics and with prices at $2,00 or more. When I see the first 30 hosts in a category with 4,5 and 5 stars, I always wonder why these other hosts have lower ratings. Are the pics real? Is she on too many sites? Does she stall? Is she doing something else wrong? The bottom line is that it raises a question in my mind since it seems so easy to get 4,5 or 5 stars so before I decide to pay this higher price, I really think things through and decide if I want to take a chance. But at say, $1.50, there is a very good chance I will come take a look, and from there, the host has her chance to earn a good rating.

Sadly, however, despite all of the complaints about ratings, more often than not, I am disappointed by hosts below 4,5 stars, and I don't think it is just a bunch of idiots giving them 1 star that gave them the lower rating. I think usually the got it because other hosts are simply better.

I know some guys are very happy with 4 star or lower hosts. All I know is that every host I enjoy seeing on a regular basis is 4,5 or 5 stars. They are in various categories and at various prices, usually up to $2.00. And I stay at least 20 to 30 minutes most of the time, and sometimes well over an hour, even if closer to the $2.00 range. But there is not a single host on this site that I see on a regular basis that is below 4,5 stars. I've had decent sessions with some of them, but in terms of repeat business, while I might go back, I don't go back on any type of regular basis. The 4,5 and 5 star hosts are not always good in my opinion, and the ones below 4,5 are not always bad, but generally, the higher the rating, the better the host so once again, I think hosts need to focus more on what they are doing and worry less about the occasional 1 star idiot. I've seen a 5 star host complain to me that she dropped to 4,5 a lot because of this, but I almost never hear a 4,5 star host having a problem of dropping to 4 stars. It is the top hosts that the idiots seem to attack, not the lower ranked ones, so if you are not in the top, it might have more to do with you than with the random idiot giving you a bad rating. And like I have said, these top hosts easily withstand such attacks because they have regulars to come vote 5 stars. Why? Because they are the better hosts and have such regulars. If you don't have enough regulars and feel you are being attacked by idiots, then maybe you need to do a better job to get these regulars.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

I guess you just got a bad rating and unfortunately it lowered your rating score. That is lousy I agree and until CC changes the system of all ratings count accumulatively it will continue.
Some positive suggestions is block hosts and guests. Always look as good as your pictures posted and be friendly in chat. Could minimize the problems.
10 or 20 min before rating is ridiculous. At least 2 min would be nice and have all ratings count and not just the last 10.

Before I type my posts, I go on a vision quest which includes putting on my tie dye shirt, getting high, and reciting ohmm ohmmm over and over. Then, once in video, I simply drop the "oh" from ohmmmm and say mmmm mmmm over and over.

Counting every rating is not a good idea in my view because it doesn't accurately reflect how a host is doing lately. Also, it would allow a long time host to treat a guy poorly and get away with it because she would know one poor rating wouldn't have any effect on her overall rating. Similarly, it would not allow a host that is just average because she was more shy when she first started out, had poor English, et cetera to overcome lower scores for a very long time as she got better at her job. I guess she could just open a new account, but I would have a policy that her rating would follow her anyway to prevent that type of attempt to get around a poor rating and limit the number of accounts she had.

This is why I think something around 25 with each member only being allowed to vote once would be a better way to go. It reduces the effect of a few poor votes and it also doesn't let just a few regulars artificially inflate a score. And it is still a fair reflection of how good a job a host is doing lately. Plus, it would encourage her to be more consistent in terms of doing a good job since a few regulars couldn't control the voting so much.

But despite all the complaints from hosts, I still think they should be happy with the current system. I think the ratings are way too high and members don't really get a lot of good information from them. Just a few loyal customers and they've got 4,5 or 5 stars. That is really all it takes. And on those days that a few idiots jump into video for one minute, a host can just say she is sad about her rating to a few "friends" without saying more so she is not violating any rules and we all know what will happen... The rating will be back to were it was the next day. And for those hosts that don't have a few loyal guys to fix the rating, once again, with all due respect, I think that you probably are not doing that good of a job and probably don't deserve a higher rating.

The only way I would adopt the idea of counting all votes would be to allow short reviews like another site does so at least I can see if the rating is still reflective of how the host is doing lately. I still prefer my idea even if the reviews were included, but at least such reviews would reduce my objections a bit. Even with reviews, I still see many long time "veteran" hosts that used to be good hosts and have 5 stars do really poor shows at that other site and generally won't go there. Take away their 2500 votes or more, lol, and reduce it to 25, and I bet the quality of the shows would increase at that other place.

Look, if you are getting slews of bad ratings from people that are not staying long there is a very good possibility that you are doing something wrong. I do not think there are very many viewers wanting to go into a room and leave a minute or two later upset. That is a waste of money. However, there are many hosts that do not appreciate the fact that we the viewer are the customers, we are paying for entertainment and deserve to be treated well. If i have to wait 5-10 mins of a session for the host to start doing whatever it is that I'm requesting then that is ridiculous. Now I'm not saying that if you don't say you are willing to strip that you should receive a bad score for not stripping (although lets be real, this is an adult website, it is a common sense expectation). But if you say you are willing to, then we should be able to start within a reasonable amount of time. And by reasonable I mean a few hi's, whats your name what did you want to see, and let's start. If you aren't willing to have this lengthy conversation with members that are in the free text chat, then you should not be expecting them to pay for the conversation in video. Also, like someone else said, take pictures that are accurate. If you use fake pictures, or pictures that are distorted or altered to make you look like something you are not, you are no helping yourself. You may get the viewer in for a brief moment but they are going to leave and you are going to get a bad rating.

Respect your CUSTOMERS and remember that a member that comes for 10 minutes 10 times is better than a member that comes for 30 mins once. If you treat your viewers well they will treat you well. It's a respect thing, and trust me when I say, the viewer usually comes up on the short side of this. I think that if you do these very simple things, you will have the rating that you hope for.

if the minimum time required to rate a host was 20 minutes then certainly almost all ratings would be 5 stars, why would i stay in a vid for 20 minutes if i find out in the first 2 minutes that the host looks nothing like her pictures or she has promised in text chat to be naked right away but is not fulfilling that promise or any of a number of other reasons why i might think 1-2 stars was appropriate

It would be foolish to assume that any hosts are not faking it. To orgasm in multiple videos day after day is unlikely. The bottom line is if the host is a convincing actress then...who cares. It is a fantasy. I did have a host from Brazil who was a friend. A few times a week before I went to work we would go online and do it together...I am pretty sure that was the real deal...I miss Cinderellla.

This morning a friend from yaroslavl told me about the accident so I felt a bit of a connection, plus I am a hockey fan. About an hour later, on the radio, I learned that one of the victims played hockey for my favorite NHL team in the USA and that he was the coach of the team on the plane. And reading a little more, it looks like there were players from several countries on the plane.

It is a tragedy that touched a lot of people all over the world. R.I.P. and may their families and friends find a way to deal with such a great loss.

I don't play the competitions much but, when I do, I have played with several Instant Action hosts. As most of them allow you one go after each $5 you spend then what you do is have your show and then play the game at the end. Some of the competitions do not even need any participation at all such as the valentines puzzle where you get awarded pieces of the puzzle when you leave the video.

In my opinion, MYBEAUTY4U deserves every one of her 13 wins.

Well I do and with the newer contests, not the puzzles, you are busy playing to game. And even if you say you play the game at the end of the show, it costs you that much extra to play the game. And if you chat in IA like you do in softcore, it defeats the whole purpose of the category which says if you don't have time for small talk, this is the category for you.

Yes it cost me more to play the game at the end of the show but I would rather do it that way than continually interrupt the show every time I had spent $5. But that doesn't bother me as I realise that, even although the hosts in IA agree to an immediate show, at the other end is a person with feelings. It's also a thank you to the host for giving me a show rather than wasting my time which seems to happen a lot to certain members. So in the end I am quids in :P

I've not seen anyone ever post otherwise. But to read the cc guidelines and choose IA for chit chat is analogous to reading about buying new VW, then going to a Toyota dealer to buy it. And it makes me wonder if guys like you with maybe more money than we average viewers, go to chat in IA just to be disruptive to the rest of us. I'm not accusing you of doing this, but it is certainly a possibility with at least some other viewers.

I posted below, in the other Instant Action thread, by mistake. There I made the point about the puzzles, but yes, there are contests you need to be more active and it costs more money to play if you wait until the end. Of course, then you can take a few extra turns too.

I also noted that maybe CC should suspend category rules during contests so that viewer expectations are different. And since I believe a host can only play with one member at a time for things like word contests, that also eliminates the problem of the first viewer wanting to play the contest and the second viewer in open wanting a show in not so shy and instant action. Just suspend the category rules so we're all on the same page and treat everything like soft core. There seems to be a trend lately in the forums to imply that members should be obliged to follow the limits of adult categories: According to these posters if a member enters an IA host's vid he must tell her to get naked immediately. If he goes to not shy he must require her to get naked without too much delay. I go to video to have fun with girls I find attractive and I want to have that fun in the way I choose. Depending on my mood and the language skills of the host I may want a quick show or I may chat for a while. If I am in open video and someone else enters I have no problem if they request the host to do something but I strongly object to this idea that I am somehow "breaking the rules" if i do not demand an adult host to do an adult show.

Well how many hosts hast won 13 times? Or even 5? By the way 5 is outstanding, 13 is incredible. I have several favs in softcore who may have won 2 and stay on line for hours and hours. And even more who have not won at all. I have seen members post they stay away from the site during contest time. I know hosts that stay away as well for their own reasons. In order to win a contest host should find a good rich admire who ready to make true all her desires, because other guys used to chose to play with hosts who got some score already.....so then her score getting bigger and bigger and host wins. That is all the secret. But without good help from rich admire that do almost impossible even for popular host, most regulars stay away from all contests, also because they not ready to spend more than usual they spend.

There obviously is luck involved, but yes, a host has the best chance of winning when she has guys spending a lot of money in video.

And look at the contests she has won. Five are puzzles so that is just getting lots of video and being lucky. Now we're down to 8. One was top 20 easter which says it was based on viewers voting so again it just means she made guys happy. There were also some word challenges and all those take is some luck and a good word list that is loaded into excel, and while I didn't play with her, I am guessing her members were the ones driving things based on my impression that her english is okay but not great. And a couple were games that may have had some level of skill that you developed as you played them which she may or may not have been helpful with.

It is very possible that all that is happening here is exactly what you have said and most of us already know. Hosts with the most video win more than others. I would think that would be obvious. She may be a bit luckier than others (five puzzles is a lot) but ultimately it is her members driving things in all liklihood. And for all we know, it is just one or two guys spending lots of money and coming armed with good word lists, et cetera helping her each time.

She is just a popular host which, until now, has not been talked about all that much in forums. There isn't really a big mystery here but she would seem to be a bit more lucky than some. I don't think the category matters since at contest time cc stops being a porn site and becomes contest central, lol. And maybe she is getting a lot of 121 during contests too and the member isn't asking for a show.

I don't disagree, but there are many members on site that would. I've seen dozens of posts saying anything over $1 is too high. And suggesting any host charge more is risking putting you in the money slave category.

I jump from host to host to host. I am only a slave to my own desires, lol. And I try to focus on lower priced hosts. But some of the more expensive hosts are worth it too.

Money slaves are guys that visit the same host, or perhaps a couple of them, and just go into the room and chat for hours and send presents. They love a particular host and want to spoil her because she is so beautiful and therefore feel she deserves to be spoiled. I never do that. I've helped people such as paid for their school because I care about them, but I never just send a bunch of money for presents or send a lot of gifts just to spoil someone.

Actually it is not terribly complex to work out as the defacto format for most competitions is member spends X * Y$=P(Success). Ie. Hosts who can charge more increase the probability per member to complete the puzzle, picture, word game, battleships. This particular host has well established PR. Hence sufficient regulars to complete the tasks. Did anyone really think the competitions were ever about randomness?

I don't know if I have some magic powers or maybe I just manage to pick all the "bad" girls from their profile pics but I have never had any issues with either NSS or IA girls.

As for the original question, depending on the nature of the contest, you can get a show and play the contest afterwards especially if it is something like a puzzle contest where you don't even do anything to play except spend money. And there is nothing wrong with chatting with an instant action host. I've done it many times. The issue is when you do it in open and then another member comes along, although this usually doesn't happen even with more popular hosts.

By the way, I think CC should perhaps suspend the category rules requiring shows during contests and say that soft core rules apply to all categories to avoid problems because there are hard core hosts that don't like to perform at contest time and it can cause problems.

A lot of what INYF says is tongue-in-cheek, but what's wrong with having he host dress up? The rules are in place to ensure that hosts fulfill member expectations. They are not there to restrict varieties of expectations or to limit what kind of viewers can enter into a particular category. You criticize constantly members who go into IA and want more than IA. It's their money, their desire, and the host who recognizes their individual needs and caters to them is a winning host. I think it is a good idea. Sometimes it is just not the right mood to have to go live chat. The problem with many videos is poor quality. Also some start you in the middle of the clip. And it is a great way to check out a particular host. I just don't see the downside to this as long as hosts make an effort to do a good job. It does not even always have to be a sex tape. It could even just be "Introduction" tape so you get a sense of the host. Just as long as the content is clear before you start paying. I would pay a few bucks for a promo tape.

Not to be argumentative, but just being on here opens you up to something like that. Nothing really stops a member from taking pics or recording your pvt session and posting all over the internet.

I had that happen and it is not fun when you have someone trying to create problems with what they have recorded, it sure stopped me from doing things in video with those I do not know, and it really caused me to not trust and to be too scared to do much so I ended up changing categories to non adult and I will not do nude at all, let alone anything else I use to do and enjoy.

I got too scared to let myself go and really enjoy myself as it did not only happen once but a few times. It is no longer enjoyable to let myself go and enjoy more than just stripping to sexy underwear. In fact because of this I have also found another job that is away from online. Really sucks tho because I really did enjoy myself, but I will not let myself be in a situation that only causes stress and worry.

I go by the idea that you should be friends first, get to know each other. Many times a person can become attractive after you learn things that you like about them. There is no ugly women- thats first, as the beauty in the eyes of the beholder so even famous supermodel can be not attractive for some men, as she is not their type.
