It is surprising to hear that in your opinion some of the cc hosts are overrated here. I always thought this rating system is vulnerable because it only counts the recent votes (registered in the last 10 days ) and any guest can vote after 1 second - option that some abuse of.
There are exceptions from the rule, of course; i.e. I am a 5 star host here and elsewhere as well.
If I was a viewer, I couldn't care less about a chathost stars as long as they can fulfill my fantasy.
Bottom line, I do not consider your subject "food for thought", no offense.

I've gone in video for short time many times for my favs.

Although I have never gone into video with the intention of staying a few seconds and then voting 5 stars (apart from in cc's very first competition) I have gone in to someone else's video so I can see what the host looks like, left after a few seconds and given 5 stars.

you are right! everyone should choose right places for themselves and look for things they need in right places. Soft core hosts should host on appropriate for them categories and stop irritate viewers and instant action viewers should look for instant action in instant action and stop irritate softcore hosts with their "will you get naked for me if i enter video.... like right now and im kinda not going even say hello... and I'm kinda want to get what I need what I'm paying for and dont give a damm if you are softcore host, if you not gonna get that puppies out I will give you one star vote as a present for chistmas

Several years ago it was quite common for hosts to offer free videos. They would not disrobe but they would give members an opportuity to see them in video and chat briefly with them. I thought it was a great idea. The member could see the host as she was at that moment, measure her english skills and get an idea about her personality. Members would always ask..what can I expect in your video and ask them to stand up and show off the bod (clothed). Always. always a member would say I want to do a video with you and that would end the free session. Sure enough the host was in paying video right after that. To me that is a great way to drum up business. When you are looking down the list of hosts online that dollar sign with the slash through it stands out like a beacon. So...no I don't expect something for nothing but free videos did work well for many hosts.

there are many members that when they see you in free video they push and pressure to see more and come up with things like, well the other host did it, and well if you show me something I will come into your video, well sorry but in many instances that is nothing but a load of bull.

Consult a lawyer and draft a properly constituted will because i'm sure your family will contest your proposal. If your lawyer handles the will the money can be transferred to the recipients and u do not need to worry about the arrangements.

If your will is not internationally legalized, then it will not be valid in Romania.
If you specify into the will her name, adress, ID-card serial number AND her ID-code she will be able to receive the money in one local Bank Account , based on an official letter from your lawyer/notary (again internationally legalized) about she is entitled to receive the amount.
She need all these so the bank don't have a suspicion of an illegal money-transpher.
I have doubts she will pay any taxes, we only have taxes when such a will/ enharitage/donation take place between 2 romanian people and the tax is paid into the Notary Office.
I also have doubts that she can receive such an amount via WU without problems if she doesn't have an official letter from your lawyer first, she must be ready to justify herself WHY she received that amount., no matter if she gets the amount by bank or by WU.

The will would be in the USA and the money distributed from there. But it is possible that the money would be put into a bank account or brokerage (bursa) account of some type in the person's name, and she could send it to herself.

Are there any laws that tell a Romanian that they cannot have money outside of Romania or the E.U.? I can check if it is legal for foreigners to have accounts in the USA under U.S. law, and I'm pretty sure that they can. But what about under Romanian law? In the U.S., our government asks us if we have accounts in foreign countries when we pay our taxes, for example, so as long as you let the government know, we can have such accounts. But I didn't know if Romania has the same policy as to Romanians having accounts in other countries.

In terms of the will being "internationally legalized", if all of my property is in the USA, is that necessary? In other words, is that just for property I have in Romania? Or, even if my will is legal in the USA, does it still need to be "internationally legalized" for the Romanian to receive the money without a problem? I suppose my friends can send a little bit at time to themselves, but I rather that they be able to send it all at once if so choose.

The internationally legalisation must be done on documents, like contracts or agreements, it's like that document has equal power in both countries. It's only a huge stamp and a fee , we do it here at the Ministery of Justice.

In the USA you need to provide identification to open a bank account, and that usually means a social security number. I believe it is possible for foreigners to open bank accounts with US banks, but it's not easy.

I understand everyone's concerns about my decision, but it is my decision, not yours. And I understand that I need a lawyer. I was just hoping someone here had some type of experience with this type of situation and could make me aware of things that I need to know about to make sure all goes okay. Obviously, I need a lawyer for various reasons, but finding one with expertise in this particular type of scenario is not easy, and anyway, it still helps to get other opinions and ideas.

Thank you for basically calling me an idiot. But since you don't know all of the facts, how can you possibly know if this is a good idea or not? Do you know the nature of my relationship with these people? Do you know how long I've known them? Do you know how many times I've met them? Do you know if we are dating or engaged? Your situation is complex, I think you realize that.

I'm no expert, but I believe a distribution of an inherited IRA would be treated as source income from the USA, and taxed to the beneficiary as such. The foreign beneficiary would probably have to file a US tax return. The rules governing inheritance of an IRA are complex, even for US citizens. I hope your Romanian friends will inherit enough to make the tax and legal hassles worthwhile.

You mentioned that your estate would be taxed and that your US beneficiaries would get what is left over after taxes are taken out. That does not include the first $5 million of an estate in 2011. the first $5 million is tax free.

in Romania the tax is 16% to be paid in April-May of the next year after effectively receiving the amount, it is called "incomes from donations and similar" part of the annual statement of any person about Global Income Tax (about all the incomes a person could have in the previous year).
At the bank she will need to fill a document called D.I.V. ( Declaratie de Incasare Valutara) and the bank-officer will attach on it a copy of the document which says how much money she receives and ... why.
Any economic and banking document between people living in 2 different countries it's only valid when it is internationally legalized( It's a special big stamp with a certain fee for it ).

I am a CPA and recommend that you identify a local Certified Public Accountant who could advise you on how to structure a transaction to accomplish the transfer of your assets to a beneficiary who is a citizen of Romania. The CPA’s task would be to minimize combined American & Romanian taxes which may be tempered by your desire to simplify future tax filings that could be required by the beneficiary.

For example, distributions from a traditional IRA are taxable income to the beneficiary when funds are withdrawn from the IRA. In the case of a traditional IRA, rules exist as to how much and when a beneficiary must withdraw funds from the IRA depending upon whether the beneficiary is an individual, trust, or even your estate. Additional rules apply depending upon whether the beneficiary is a spouse or non-spouse. Your estate would likely be the beneficiary if you do not designate a beneficiary on your IRA account. Roth IRA’s are subject to a completely different set of income tax regulations. These rules are extensive and complex; a CPA could help you navigate this maze.

In your stated scenario, the Romanian beneficiary may be required to file a US federal income tax return (Form 1040NR) in any year a distribution occurs because the Traditional IRA distributions are US sourced income and these distributions occur outside of your estate. I say may be required, because a tax return does not always have to be filed if the taxable income is below certain limits. Before filing, they would be required to obtain an ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number) by filing a Form W-7. An ITIN is similar to a SSN, and is required to file a tax return for any person that does not have a SSN.

Also, because the beneficiary is a Romanian citizen, a Romanian tax return would be required. Romanian citizens are taxed on worldwide income at a flat rate of 16%. I am not an expert on Romanian income taxes, but typically, many countries allow a credit against the tax in their home country equal to the tax paid to a foreign country to avoid double taxation. I don’t know if Romania allows such a credit.

The US & Romania entered into a tax treaty on Jan 1, 1974 which excludes certain categories of income from taxation by the other country. However, I don’t believe that a beneficiary’s income from a traditional IRA is exempted by this tax treaty.

Finally, my recommendation would be to find the simplest approach to transferring cash. I believe making a foreigner a beneficiary to an IRA adds layers of tax complexity that is not necessary. You can avoid US income tax requirements for the Romanian person by designating them as a beneficiary of your estate (rather than a beneficiary of the IRA) through your Last Will and Testament where you disclose the amount of cash the Romanian person is to receive. Generally, any income or estate taxes are paid by the estate before amounts are distributed to beneficiaries. Beneficiaries of an estate do not pay taxes on an inheritance they receive in the USA. I can’t comment on whether an inheritance is considered income in Romania and would therefore be taxable; you would have to find a Romanian attorney to advise you. If the Traditional IRA is needed to provide the necessary cash to your estate, you could designate your estate as the beneficiary of the IRA although this choice can have negative consequences including a less than optimal tax outcome.

You would be well advised to hire both a good attorney and a good tax CPA to accomplish your stated goals.

I was considering making a trust the beneficiary estate and of my IRA's and then have these individuals and others be beneficiaries of the trust in various percentages. The money would then be distributed according to these percentages with each individual receivin an Inherited IRA with an amount equal to the percent that they have in the trust. So for example, if the IRA had $10,000, and if I had three heirs which received 10%, 30%, and 60% of my assets, the $10000 IRA would become an asset of the trust (which would be the beneficiary of my estate), and there would be three separate Inherited IRA accounts created equal to $1000, $3000, and $6000 to correspond to the three beneficiaries and their respective interests in the trust. I just didn't know how this would all work out if some or all of the beneficiaries of the trust are foreign.

I have wondered the same thing...particularly about Chinese women. I wonder if their government monitors that type of internet commerce somehow or if it is specifically against the law? Maybe the social stigma is to big to take a chance? Maybe the regular job market in china is so hot it is does not pay for a pretty, English speaking chinese girl to bare it all to be a success. I think it is funny that probably half the hosts who greet us with their online picture when we first arrive at CC, are no longer hosting. AboveXBeyond, VIPQueen, to name a couple. Seems to me that active hosts would make better greeters.

I was thinking about this awhile ago. CC has a lot of hosts in featured pics such as when you first enter the site, category descriptions, even at the lat contest time that are not here very often and sometimes not at all. VIPQueen is Richbaby by the way so at least she is here.

She would seem to be gone. I won't post the name to respect her privacy, but her other account is still here, but the pics are hidden. I've only talked to her as a casual friend, including outside of CC, and she broke off contact there as well a few months after leaving CC. She obviously just wants to put all of this in the past.

It's a shame. I liked talking to her. She was a very honest person. At the same time, I knew she was a very private person so I am not surprised she would just disappear. I am sure she kept most people at arms' length. Perhaps she still chats with a member or two, but I bet no more than that.

Let that be a lesson to all members. Your relationships here are not real 99.9% of the time. Hosts come and go, and when they go, you usually aren't going with them, even as an online friend.

There are such things as non-sexual relationships, so it wouldn't matter what she is doing with someone else if she is still staying in contact as a friend.

I have more than one friend who were hosts here and we stay in contact even years after they have left CC for good. Nothing sexual, and they are not asking me for money, just friendly chat from time to time or even very often depending on which one it is. Some are married and we still talk about what is happening in our lives just as I would with a friend from school.

Still yet I imagine the 99.9% is pretty accurate as most hosts and members would never think of even getting to know each other and most hope for no more than a single meeting ever. But a few do look for more and find it.

Sometimes she had a very sharp tongue. She seemed honest, but I still wonder if she was actually just a bigger game player than the other girls. She just created a far more intricate and intelligent act that made you think she really was your friend. Pretty much the hosts I see regularly or who know me well after many years can sniff me out in a few minutes. I have a pretty unique personality and style in chat and video. Plus I am a phone freak. But as far as her knowing who you are based on CC....nope. It is up to you to be a totally different person to fool her..but don't be so sure it's that easy.

As for your question, I prefer seeing a host's face in pics too, but I can obviously understand their desire for privacy and respect this. Not seeing her face isn't a deal breaker, but it makes me a lot more reluctant to see her in video so I am more careful about checking out her pics, reading her profile, reading her forum, checking her rating, et cetera and will look for any reason to think that the pics are fake.

I also consider price too since I am less likely to go video without seeing her face if the price is high. It might just be a $2, for example, but I don't walk down the street throwing money away each day so I don't want to do it here either. Hosts really don't get this point. They think a guy is cheap if he doesn't want to spent a $1 or $2 to see what she looks like. But not wanting to waste money doesn't make a person cheap.

And as another person said, if I do take a chance and don't like what I see, it leads to a short video session. I try to find an excuse and not just leave so I don't hurt the host's feelings, but I do try to get out fast. On the other hand, there are some really hot hosts here who don't show their face so things can work out. But I don't like to gamble even for low amounts so once again, I am more reluctant to go video if no face in pics. Of course, I've had a few hosts over the years not want to show their faces in video too, especially if playing, and that is probably worse than this issue.

I'm pretty much in agreement with MoonLit Knight.. I would be reluctant to visit a host that did not show her face. If I was going to I would probably do it when I saw she only had the open option as I could then make a excuse that I will return when I can have her all to myself.

Price would also be a consideration. Also Like MK I would not leave immediately so as not to hurt the hosts feelings but would certainly not stay as long as normal.

Members seem to be divided into 2 broad categories: firstly those who want a guarantee of satisfaction before they enter any vid session. These are the ones always posting in the members forum seeking reassurances as to what they can expect in advance, before spending a single $. Such types will always want to see the face pic. Others are more adventurous and speculative and on the look out for hidden treasures. Some of the most beautiful hosts I have seen in 8 years here have never shown their face in archive pics.

I think it is a complete waste. The second you go in there, you get 100000000000 private messages, usually from people of a certain country. And it seems like hosts that I find less desirable are the ones there too, so I have no interest in negotiating with them, and I avoid negotiating price 99.9% of the time anyway since it is too awkward for me to do it. I feel like the host will think I am cheap so I just avoid it.

I suppose it was designed to make CC more fun, but I am not interested in talking to other members except in the member forum, and I can talk to hosts in video. It really serves no purpose for me. Years ago, I think it might have been a bit more interesting, but not now.

I use to go to comm chat a lot, but over the years it has changed so much, too many personal questions, and members trying to get dirty talk for free, plus rude members, hosts use to talk in open but now hardly any say anything at tall as they all busy doing pvt talk in there trying to get members to their videos. everyone seem to get along and was like a big party, it has just changed way too much, it use to be a lot of fun but not any more.

I never cared for Comm Chat due to the non stop IMs from hosts from that certain part of the world. As far as members in there, it is my feeling that the members are either out of money or have no intention of paying for any videochat now or in the future.

There is an actual interactive lounge for members only to talk about live girls and preview them in free public video. Yeah I know that will never happen here. So why am I still here? CC doe shave excellent customer service and there are a number of really great hosts on site. The format of the site really doesn't work for me anymore, it is really dreck. But I enjoy getting the best out of a combination of sites. and that's how I roll.

I don't focus on what a host charges since I can just go to another host. If they can make enough money at a high price, who am I to say they are greedy or are charging too much? I would do the same thing.

I do find it interesting, however, that some hosts charge a high price and never seem to have video. I guess they work on many sites and don't care how many members visit them on CC. if its a password vid member is paying open prices , not 121 , its something special fir a regular member or a friend .

No here is what I mean. Some have it like this;

offers the following:
Open session $ per minute
Webcam session password:

This webcam session is password protected by the Chathost.
Please obtain your password from the Chathost.

And some others have the same wording but 2 prices. One for open and another for 121. So my question was why 2 different formats?

If it is showing both the open and 121 prices it means that the host has set up the password session but no one has actually entered the video yet.

As indicated, if you see an open price and a 121 price and a place to enter a password underneath, it just means nobody is in video. Host sometimes do this while waiting for a member to enter, and other times do it just so nobody forgets about them. In other words, they may be tired and have no intention of working unless a regular buzzes them on yahoo, but they think it is good advertising to appear online anyway. I know several hosts that do this. It is probably the same reason you see some prerecorded videos at such high prices. Yes, someone might actually pay $5/min, for example, for a prerecorded video, but it also keeps the host in members' minds even if they don't.

As for why choose the 121 price over the open price with a password, one reason would be to hide the price. Sometimes hosts will reduce the price for a special member and not want anyone else to see so they have the member go 121. The reason to use the password on top of this is to keep anyone else from jumping into the video at a reduced price in case someone else happens to be trying to enter video at the exact same time. Or, the member might just enter 121 because he wants to give the host extra money to be nice or because he is a slave or whatever. Or perhaps the member and host had agreed to an appointment for 121 for a nude show at the regular 121 price, or perhaps even a higher price, and the host used a password to make sure nobody else could enter.

Most of the time it will be that the member using a password is in open in which case you just see the open price and a place for the password. You know it is a password with a 121 session because the message is different when you try to enter video. It says something like the host is in a private session instead of the regular message for 121 which just says the host is busy and try later. Also, I believe you can't enter text chat if the host has a password so if she is in 121 with a password, I don't think you would be able to enter text chat. You might also get the same message about the host having a private session. I forget.

I think it means the host only wishes to allow the people she desires into her video..and not just anyone.. she offers both options because she probably does different things in each. but hey why ask us..ask her ;)

For your information hosts do not think alike so who knows better than the host you are inquiring about.

That was my whole point..I think his original post really deals with only one host..and not all hosts in general..

You can ask 10 people why they painted a house blue..you will get 10 different answers.. same will go for why different hosts password protect a session..
