I've been thinking that hosts on this site seem to have changed a lot over the years. I'm thinking back to around 2003-2004 and how different the atittude seemed to be. I can't put my finger on it, but it was like the atmosphere was totally different.

I agree, there has been a big change in attitude. The site seems to be loaded with high priced dominas and viewers with lots of money to spend on them. I can only speak for myself but I know that since I have started on this site my self esteem has had a major boost. When one has a raise in self esteem, the attitude changes as well. I have always been bold and blunt, and as you can see from this reply, I dont hide the facts whether they make me look better or worse. But knowing that someone would actually pay me to talk to me, or more, made a big change in how I see myself. And thus bringing on a more positive outlook for me.

Having high self esteem is a good thing. But the free market determines prices for goods and services. For whatever reason this site seems to attract many viewers who either just like to pay for talk or are into being humiliated by a domina. Since this particular dilemma obviously works both ways, I'll try to add my two cents without turning it into a novel.
The way I see it, what most hosts do in their rooms can be labeled by typical society standards as "bad, immoral, shameful" behavior. The members' actions can be labeled just the same. After all, it is precisely the need for "bad, immoral, shameful" little somethings, that connects the two "teams" together.
So who is less marriage material than whom? My view on people who live in different countries (and different cultures of course) meeting in real and becoming a couple is the same, no matter where and how they met: on a cam site, dating site, social network - due to various insecurities, complexes, other more or less severe disorders, etc. they either encounter difficulties when trying to establish a first connection with a real person, or have the tendency to settle for some psychobilly freakazoid, because their repressed inner feelings of shame, guilt and self loathing subconsciously translate into "this is what you need and you deserve it".
I vote for a Debate contest, Hosts vs Members, on the who's less marriage material than whom topic. The across the seas online true love - fact or fiction, is a lost cause, but that could work too, just for giggles.

The way I see it, what most hosts do in their rooms can be labeled by typical society standards as "bad, immoral, shameful" behavior. The members' actions can be labeled just the same. After all, it is precisely the need for "bad, immoral, shameful" little somethings, that connects the two "teams" together.
So who is less marriage material than whom? The guy who, for whatever reason, likes, wants, needs, or is addicted to, and pays for - watching naked camgirls, or the girl who gets paid to, needs, wants, hopefully likes, and most likely isn't addicted to - getting naked on cam? It starts turning into a matter of who's "better" - morally, socially.
In reality, it's a simple case of mirror image perceptions where some of each group's individuals see themselves as moral and why not superior, and the "opposite faction" as immoral and inferior.
One thing I know for sure is, if I feel completely happy with what I do online, truly enjoy it, and have absolutely no hidden reason to be ashamed, that's the image I project - and that's the reflection I get back from the people I interact with. They never see me naked though, and i don't sell anything.

There was a "joke" (I didn't really find it funny) excusing mr Strauss that he didn't really want to rape the maid, but he only slipped on the soap when going out of his shower and his penis penetrated the woman.
