Epassporte - to hosts
I am sure many of you are upset right now. You do have some options to get any money that is currently in your Epassporte account. As to future payments, I would avoid Epassporte even if they fix whatever problem they are having. They are very difficult to deal with.
Even without the ability to use a bank machine or to buy stuff online, money can be withdrawn from a "Personal" Epassporte Account if the user registers either 1) a credit or debit card (I was told to use a Mastercard since they are having problems with VISA) or 2) a checking account in the USA. The problem of course is that most CC hosts have "Business Affiliate Accounts", not "Personal Accounts". I am also guessing that many don't have credit/debit cards either, not to mention that they are usually not in the USA.
I do not know if you can register a checking account in the USA or a Mastercard with a Business Affiliate Account so email Epassporte and ask. They are difficult to deal with and don't like answering questions about things other than the caller's own account, and I don't have a Business Afffiliate Account. But even if you cannot register a Mastercard or U.S. checking account, you still have options.
1. If you are in a country that allows you to have a Personal Account, then create one and transfer the money from your Business Affiliate Account to your Personal Account and then register your Mastercard or checking account (if you have one in the USA) to get your money. It doesn't cost that much to transfer the money to the bank account or credit card but it does take about two weeks.
2. If you do not have the ability to get a Personal Account and it turns out that you cannot register a Mastercard or U.S. checking account with a Business Affiliate Account (or you simply don't have a Mastercard and cannot get one or are not in the USA), then you will need to ask a friend to help you. The friend will need to have a Personal Account and either a Mastercard or a U.S. checking account that is registered with Epassporte, just like under option #1. You can then send him the money and he can withdraw it and send it to you by another method.
Take note that Business Affiliate accounts cannot receive money except from Business Accounts so he cannot send the money back to you if he has a Personal Account. CC uses a Business Account and you get Business Affiliate Accounts from them. I am not sure if other Business Accounts besides CC can send money to an Affiliate Account obtained from CC so once again, if you send money to your friend's Business Account instead of his Personal Account and then want it back, I don't know if this is possible. Like I said, it definitely is not possible if he has a Personal account, and I doubt Business Affiliate accounts can receive money from other Business Affiliate accounts. Also, I have no idea how one withdraws money from a Business Account after he receives it, but I am guessing that most friends that would be able to help would be using Personal Accounts so they would just needs a Mastercard or a U.S. checking account.

It has clearly been stated by Epassporte that unless our funds with them are in the Wallet Account , funds cannot be transferred to our bank accounts. Typically when funds are deposited to the Epassporte Account they are in the Visa Account which includes the Electron Visa and the Virtual Visa accounts. The sum in those two accounts (which most of us leave our funds in) are frozen and the money cannot be transfered to our bank accounts or the Wallet Account. The Wallet Account is the only account with Epassporte that hosts can transfer money to their personal bank accounts. Thanks for the help though. Your intentions were good :)

ah...the few times i loaded money, I think it went into my wallet. So the money is locked in your VISA account? that sucks if true. But maybe some hosts transferred it to their wallets to be safe until they needed it as epassporte had recommended.

As host below stated, the money must be in the "wallet" section to wire it...most do not hold their money in that location. The epass virtual visa and visa electron accounts are frozen by Visa and the bank, not epass.
I called Visa to see if the problem was with epass accounts or all cards issued by the bank in St Kitts. I was told it was just the epass accounts.
It seems the main issue the anti money laundering (AML) and anti terrorist rules that have been recently instituted.
The types of cards that are the main focus are debit pre=paid cards, gift cards and reloadable top up cards.
The main trigger points are cards that:
Don't have the value clearly labeled on them.
Are reloadable at places other than banks.
Can have a maximum lifetime value of more than $1,000, including reloads.
Can be used anywhere -- especially if they can be used internationally.
Can have the value transferred to another card.
Are purchased in large amounts or seem otherwise suspicious.

The solution may take time, the people at epass are working on options. I truly believe the people at epass will get the money to the owners eventually. I feel comfortable in saying that the epass people are not scamming anyone, this is just a problem of the paranoia of our times.
A suggestion for hosts is to start receiving monies in a more straightforward bank account (business or personal). Run your business as a real business.That would require paying taxes in your local country as well.

I don't believe so... the funds in the VISA portion are frozen and cant even be transferred internally.... Again don't totally blame epass, this is "big brother" at work.
The funds are there in the bank, they are just currently frozen. this is NOT like the bank failures in eastern europe etc. NO ONE has stolen money (at least as far as I know).

Which money laundering and anit-terrorism laws do you refer to? Are they American laws and VISA is forced to follow them? Is VISA incorporated in the USA? I don't think Epassporte is an American company but maybe I am wrong.
And by the way, if anything, I have found epassporte to be very annoying and overly protective. Obviously, nobody that works for VISA is an epassporte account holder or they would know this.
On two occasions, I needed to send copies of my credit card, proof of address via a copy of a letter sent to me such as a utility bill, and a copy of my ID. I think that I also had to send my credit card statement. I see no reason VISA or anyone else would flag them. Epassporte freezes accounts at even the smallest hint of fraud of any type to the point that they are impossible to deal with. And I think I never loaded or transferred more than $500 at one time.
I once sent a few hundred dollars to a friend and she took some of it out the next day and they froze both our accounts. WTF? This was after my having sent money to her once before without a problem. And even after both of us sent everything but a DNA sample, it took me forever to find someone to get them to reopen our accounts. My friend literally had to open a bank account to prove who she was and where she lived to epassporte.
I really hate them. Even talking to them on the phone today, I had to call several times to try to get an answer. And in terms of understanding them, all I will say that is before anyone ever complains about a chathost's English, call epassporte!
By the way, Epassporte has been having issues with VISA for a long time. They stopped letting people use VISA cards to load money on their accounts over a year ago and said at that time they were working on the problem. Well, they're still working on it, lol, and now things are worse for their customers. It might not be a big conspiracy, but they clearly are not the most competent people in this world. Hopefully, this situation will be resolved fast, but I would not be surprised if it went on for a long time and epassporte simply disappeared, money and all.
Finally, in terms of your list of red flags, that is a pretty broad list. VISA and other companies issue cards specifically for travelling overseas that one loads money onto that would seem to fall into your list. $1000? That is pretty low, and you just shut down one of the american automobile associations (AAA) products in the USA that I find very useful. VISA itself offers such products, lol. Maybe they are trying to eliminate all the competition and distribute things directly to make more money.

I think you are being unfair to epassporte. Considering what has just happened don't you think their phones might have been a bit busy today so it took some time for them to answer you. It is surely reasonable that they are very cautious about fraud. I have had my own issues with them but generaly found them reasonable to reach a solution. Regarding the legal situation it does not matter whether EPassporte or Visa or the St Kitts Bank are incorporated in the USA or not. The USA tries to apply some laws on a global basis and none of these companies could afford to be prohibited from doing business in the USA. Although there are other preloaded cards the issues with epassporte are likely to be traceability of who is loading them and the fact that they can be issued to someone abroad without the recipient providing any proof of ID. At least one of EPassporte's competitors has some similar problems regarding loading of money. I do not think this is about the competence of EPassporte..If it is to do with the money-laundering and anti terrorism laws I can think of possible ways for epassporte to resolve it but they would take some weeks toimplement.

I actually got through on the phone right away each time I called. I was surprised. I guess that it hasn't hit the fan quite yet over there. The problem is how they deal with you after they answer the phone.
Obviously, since terrorism and money laundering is such a big issue, they are not effectively communicating with VISA and the U.S. government about their security procedures which I have found to be wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over the top for what were very small transactions on two different occasions. Or maybe the real issue is that the are targeting small users like me and letting the problem transactions go through and finally someone had to stop it. I don't know.
Maybe they should have been demanding id from all account users from the outset and let them know that without such id, they cannot use epassporte instead of doing things like freezing accounts AFTER they take your money! Perhaps that would have made them less difficult to deal with and kept the government and VISA happy.

I am guessing you do not regularly send money outside your country as you do not seem to be aware of the checks that are now made and proofs that have to be given. The extent of these has changed dramatically in the five years. You also may not make extensive use of your credit card abroad,or at least not in Eastern Europe, South ast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. I have not had problems dealing with Epassporte. I have had some problems with the EPassporte account which were resolved. I have 4 normal Mastercard credit cards and 3 Visa cards and have sometimes had problems using these too. Overall EPassporte was no worse than any other card company at resolving the problems and was better than some. You seem to be basing your opinion on one bad experience. The point of freezing the account until they are have confirmed ID is to be sure that you and the recipient do not lose your money. You do not say why they froze the account or what the countires.

I have had problems on more than one occasion. Each time involved no more than $500 and was to Eastern Europe.
When there is a problem, Epassporte is very secretive and won't explain why. They simply freeze your account and don't give you any explanation other than their "system" detected something. Then they force you to surrender all of your personal information such as your photo id or you cannot get your money back.
You might not find this a big deal, but I do. I transfer money outside of the country by other methods, and the one time I had a problem, the service offered to return my money instead of holding my funds hostage until I complied with their demands. I was not happy that they didn't want the transfer to go through (it eventually did), but at least they were willing to give me my money without forcing me to comply with their demands.
And when trying to solve a problem with Epassporte, they are extremely difficult to deal with. I am still waiting for a post, including from you, that says they never had a problem with Epassporte. Oh wait, I guess that will not happen now since every single customer is now having a problem right now if they hadn't had one in the past, which I doubt!
And for anyone that thinks Epassporte didn't have notice of this issue with visa, I doubt that too. They know the laws and should have been doing what it takes to comply with them. Contrary to epassporte's notice to customers, I doubt that visa just cut them off without warning.

From what you have said EPassporte were concerned that there was some attempt to make a fraudulant withdrawal. Financial institutions may not give details of why they are suspicious in case this reveals too much about what checks they carry out. They ask for your, and the card holders personal details to try to be sure that you and she are who you say you are and so entttled to give them instructions. The money is frozen until they are sure. Can you not understand they are trying to safeguard your money.
The issues I experienced were not with epassporte themselves but when using the card which resulted in it being blocked. The reasons for the blocking were understandable and epassporte acted quickly to unblock it.

If they had given me the option of having the money sent back to me and were easier to deal with, I might not look at them the way that I do now. But I did NOT have that option! They were NOT protecting me from anything. They were NOT protecting my friend from anything. I kept telling them that all was okay with the transfers, and they knew it was me since they ask a lot of questions to verify who the caller is. If they don't want the transfer to go through, then fine.... Undo the transfer and put the money back on my credit card (which is how I loaded money at the time). But do NOT freeze my account and my friend's account until I comply with demands! That is wrong!

As you say we are unlikely to agree. Maybe I think the way I do because I have also sent money using Ikobo and the recipient had her account compromised and did lose money. It took a lot of time, many phone calls and submission of various documents as evidence to get the money back. I would have preferred the account to be frozen for a few days.

I looked up and saw simular information today but also referencing it more to the banks fault for not conforming to new laws of 2009 to be able to handle this type of account. I feel that the owner was very straight forward with all and will do his best to rectify it as soon as possible.
It is true that mosts account holders left funds in the Visa part of the account so that they could have instant access with the Visa debit card.

Epass is similar to PayP#l. However PP, I don't believe, will do business with "adult" sites.
Most of the sites credit the hosts prepaid type accounts with their earnings. As an example CC pays host X's epassporte account. Host X can then access funds at a local ATM or use the virtual Visa for purchases.
As of today, the hosts have no access to that money they stored in those accounts. They have no access to their earnings and/or savings.
CC has given the hosts other options for payment and is trying to be accommodative to the hosts. They should be commended for this.
I also think people should allow epass to try to work through this if possible, it is not their fault (or at least not entirely). Its this world of big brother we are now living in.
Most of the sites credit the hosts prepaid type accounts with their earnings. As an example CC pays host X's epassporte account. Host X can then access funds at a local ATM or use the virtual Visa for purchases.
As of today, the hosts have no access to that money they stored in those accounts. They have no access to their earnings and/or savings.
CC has given the hosts other options for payment and is trying to be accommodative to the hosts. They should be commended for this.
I also think people should allow epass to try to work through this if possible, it is not their fault (or at least not entirely). Its this world of big brother we are now living in.

What are the other options? Can cc deposit directly into foreign bank accounts? Would hate to not have any hosts online if it's difficult to impossible for hosts to get their money.

They can wire the money to bank accounts but there is a charge. This has been an option for a long time, including before epassporte was being used on CC. I believe CC is waiving the charge for the next 3 pay periods to try to help hosts out.

Cam to cam came about due to viewer/customer demand. It is his decision to use it or not use it. It is not under the control of the host. It is there for the viewer and NOT the host. If you feel the need to watch a guy wank on cam, get a member account and go see Boys Home Alone.

I don't mind sending cam but I normally only do it if the hosts ask for it. Therefore I like it when the host asks. I know some hosts who definitely do not like to see the member and two or three who only do a full show when the members sends cam. I wanna put anoher point of view. She may have atarted off saying she she was single, as many hosts do. Once you two began to get more serious it becomes hard to admit she has been lying. She may also have wondered about your own commitment. Now that you are seriously talking about meeting for real she has admitted the truth. If had continued to lie after real meetings i would be inclined to agree with Shy and Mondo but as you have not yet met I would still consider going ahead and meeting.

You need to revise you life and analyse why do you always fall for a certain type of girls that "play" you. I know many girls on here (including myself) who definitely don't play such "cheap" games. And I actually know a few cases when girls got married to the guys they met here. You simply have to be honest with yourself- analyse your age, appearance and level of intelligence. Maybe it would be useful to read about the history of the country the girl is from. But not what you read in usual papers (mostly all the same and often bullshit)...maybe better talk to a person from that country originally and that moved to your country- ask her how it was there... You will be better prepared for a meeting.

Something I always thought about in that situation, if she will leave another man for you, what is to keep her from leaving you for another man? I don't approve of her promises but if you look at the situation from a new angle, it may be that she has lost some sense of reality talking to so many men here. it happened to my bf. we lived together for 4 years and was happy couple, but he met a girl at work and had one time sex with her. he didnt know until someone else told him that the girl was HiV positive. he asked the girl and the girl confessed she had the virus. he went to test with doctor and the result was positive. then he came home and confessed he was unfaithful to me with this girl and that he was afraid that i got the virus too, but my results were negative. he was very sad for very long time and he thought he could die, but i told him to go to other doctor and this new doctor say he was fine and that his test before was a false positive. i am with him becuase i love him much and i know he learned from his mistake.

wow thank you for sharing. Did your bf try to find out what the reason of such a reaction was? My doc told me that one of the genes may act strange to give the "false positive" reaction. And also if you have allergies, the "false positive" may occur.

Split pictures
Why are pictures in host's photo galleries sometimes split? One host I looked at (Miss Luna) the picture is split in three parts: the bottom left part is moved to the far right, the bottom right part moved to the far left, and the top section as it should be. Most of the time, however, the picture just looks like someone cut it with a knife and taped it back together but didn't get it lined up right. Not every pic, just some look that way.
