Watching cam girls is a powerful addiction. This is much like marrying a smoker and thinking if they love you enough they will quit. If they love you they might TRY to quit, but in the end they will more likely just hide it from you.
There is a small chance that they will quit smoking or camming, but you really need to decide if you can live with it. He probably won't quit, and it's NOT just for the friendships. He is a man who got addicted.

I was a heavy smoker (2-3 packs a day) and I quit smoking for good when I decided it was bad for my health. It s been 12 years now since I last smoked my last cigarrette. I am a member of cc for almost a year, but I know I will quit when I get married. I come here becuase I got bored of dating and spending lots of money and not finding the right person for me. I took a break from real dating and decided to stay in cc which is much cheaper than real dating. Here you are in control of your pocket if you keep your head over your shoulder. In real life dating women are more in control and some know their way to get what they want from you. So far I am very satisfied with cc, but i know i will stop once I find the right woman. Any addiction can be stopped with strong will and decision. if you can't do it by yourself then seek help.

I don't know you of course, so I'm just going by statistics, but I'll bet you quit smoking because YOU were ready, not because someone else wanted you to. As for the cam addiction, I think a year might be short for it to have sunk deep into your bones. Kind of like a smoker who could easily quit in the beginning if only they would. I'm on my ninth year. Please keep us updated about a year after you actually get married and quit camming for her.

Yes, I dont know you either and I have no intentions of offending anyone, but there is a good solution to camming: Cut your cable/dsl subscription. I dont know if your work depends on internet connection, but if you are normal user and you need internet you can always go to your local library or some place where wi-fi is free, but there is always people watching you. Minimize your internet usage to just the necessity. Forget all the chatting and friends. You do this for 2 years and you will forget about camming, however I dont think your addiction is simply camming. I think you built a social life around it and made camming a social need instead of just doing it as a type of ocassional diversion. I would join clubs or groups where there is people that share some sort of passion for certain sport, music, community help. There is life outside. I know the internet and camming is convenient and the girls in cc are astoundingly beautiful, but dont make it a necessity. I will definitely go back to my guitar or piano or even find a new activity like going to the gym or learning to play tennis or golf if i find the right woman and get married. I am not suggesting or prescribing anything just what I would do if I thought camming is taking over my life, blood, and soul, lol.

I agree in certain way with Long time member. Not everyone acts and think the same way, but unfortunately your bf is no different to what Long time member describes. He might change, but remember a friend of 6 years is not easy to leave behind.

Well, first you must understand and accept that, the sexual nature of a man, which is biologically different to a woman (hormones, evolved role etc etc), is that they are driven at a very base level to woman and sex! This is a very powerful thing, and often overrides rational thought and otherwise common-sense! That is why this, and other, cam sites exist. The sex industry largely exploits this male behaviour, which yes, is exploitation imo. In general, men will and often need to pay for this, and woman get paid for this. Woman can use sex to get what they want, and for men, sex is what they want!

Yep, the temptation to be unfaithful to my wife has lowered in me by coming to this site and watch the hosts' shows. I knew that looking at other women and having sex with a stranger women was wrong, but every time I went outside to work I would get these sexual fantasies with female co-workers or when I went out with friends and watched other ladies always got the temptation to get laid. About the fires
I feel really bad for Moscow and all those affected by the fires, but I can't help but wonder: when wildfires and forest fires ravaged California (as they seem to do on a regular basis anymore) was there the same outpouring of sympathy here in the forums? I can't recall seeing any.

We had groups from Canada in New Orleans before a lot of America's own groups were even organized and able to move within their own country (remember FEMA?), and while your president was sitting around a campfire playing cowboy completely unaware that there may be a problem.
There were all kinds of "Katerina" donation funds for money as well as needed items such as food, clothing, etc here. The radio stations were organizing donations, the workplaces here were, and the stores all had those little donation boxes for spare change normally reserved for third world countries.
The first thing the U.S. did was try to turn away help from other nations... no we don't need ya'lls help, we're the GREATEST NATION ON EARTH, remember... and then when it became glaringly obvious (obvious, that is to the nation itself.. it was already obvious to everyone else) that that wasn't the case, the groups trying to help had to deal with the animal population who turned the area into a set from a Dawn Of The Dead movie. Everyone git yer gunz, boyz!
The getting aid from other nations and then lack of memory in order to cry "whaaa we help everyone all the time and no one ever does a thing for us" on the Internet and in the local trailer park is a pretty typically self-centred, whiney, cry-in-your-beer attitude.

So, you need to forgive the Russians that are suffering terribly due to this situation for not having much sympathy for a people that consider the weather to be mostly inconsequential, and who can easily pack up their belongings and drive away safely in SUVs. Hell, if our houses burn down, quite a few would consider it a winning lottery ticket as insurance would cover the rebuilding of a new home, and replacement of everything in it.

Don't you think that you are going a bit too far with you main point that the USA is better equipped to fight fires and deal with the consequences of them? If I were to guess, the main point of your post is probably correct, but it isn't like Americans are immune from the consequences of fire and a hot summer. It just happens to be that a lot of the fires in the USA are not near major population centers so the smoke isn't blowing into the big cities like it is in Moscow, and the fires near heavier populated areas happen to occur near more wealthy areas a lot of the time.
If a major fire occurred to the west of Chicago, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, or Washington, D.C., it would be a major problem for people in the USA. It just hasn't happened.... yet. How long could people stay inside with their air conditioning.... IF they had it.... before running out of food? And yes, IF they have air conditioning.... People die ever year in cities in the USA from the heat because at most, all they have is a fan. And by the way, if I were to guess, I bet most people in Russia can at least afford a fan. And since it rarely gets so hot in Russia, why would they have air conditioning? Plus, by the way, the people in France often leave the country in the summer because they don't have air conditioning either.
So okay, if we're keeping score, USA 1 Russia 0 in terms of dealing with fires and heat. Of course, since we have fires and heat every year and Russia does not, I wouldn't expect this to be any different. But if you want to see things like poverty, come to where I live in the USA. Your point, as I saw it, was that things are much better in the USA and that nobody should feel sorry for us because we are better prepared for things like fires. Kind of funny you say Gulf Oil spill is the Brits responsibility . As I recall not much criticism of the US contractors who already had a bad record or acknowledgement of fact BP is a global company with a large chunk of shareholders in US .

It is the Brit's disaster which is costing Americans dearly. If they hadn't been so cheap and maintained it properly then we wouldn't be looking at this disaster. Period!! The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Racing me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.
I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort, however. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out on the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.
For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom! If, by some miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge in an attempt to open the door. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years - canine/feline attendance is not required.
The proper order for kissing is: Kiss me first, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough.
Finally, in fairness, dear pets, I have posted the following message on the front door:
TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS WHO VISIT AND LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR PETS:
1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'-niture.

My friend at work and his wife had similar experience except their son died a month before he would be born. It was difficult time for both, but they were strong and in another year they now have a beautiful daughter. Maybe one day when all is finished we will understand why these things happen, but one must find strength and use all experiences good and bad to provide and opportunity for growing as a person.

that's just not true. Statistics show that a great many couples end up divorcing because of the death of a child. To say it is because they lack the foundation is like saying they did not get healing for some sickness because they lacked the faith. fact is the death of the child is such a traumatic event that many marriages do not survive. Often because of blaming one another, feeling that the other did not do enough; often because the self-guilt is so strong they cannot move beyond it, but get swallowed by it in their grief. But they do not need to be blasted by saying they don't have a strong enough foundation.

Are there any accurate sites for Romanian Name/Saint Days?
I try to remember to wish my Romanian friends "La Multi Ani" on their name days, but sometimes I am not sure what day is the right day to do this. In fact, sometimes the woman isn't so sure herself. For example, on one site that is operated by Romanians, it lists 18 May as the name day for Andreea (St. Andrei), but I know a couple of Romanians that think 30 November (St. Andrew) is their name day. When I show them this, they really don't know what to say. It is as if everybody just does things a certain way and it doesn't matter what is really right, lol. And this is not the only example of a discrepancy that I can think of. Plus, some people seem to have two name days for the same name, and I have no idea if one of the two days is more important than the other. And if they have two names, they can have four name days, lol. Does anybody really know, lol, and where can I find this stuff out? Thanks.

Thanks. I thought about looking at other Orthodox religions as well. I did notice it is Andrew, not Andrei, on 18 May. I don't know if there is a difference. But I have talked to a few Romanian Andreea's and nobody says 18 May. Maybe they like 30 November better since they can party that night and the next day, 1 December, is a holiday so no work or school.
