I would say that being here is a double-edged issue.
On the one hand, being here makes us financially independent from men in real life. So there is no need to suffer possible mistreatment from a more-earning man.

On the other hand, on the surfice,- men exploit women sexually here. BUT it is not a dangerous real-life sexual exploitation. We don't need to do all dangerous things that might cross men's minds (CC also does not allow certain things- extreme violence, children and all that dirty stuff.) And since we can always press the button and switch the session off or just say no, its a safe situation, even enjoyable with some men, which allows us to explore our desires.... actually together with a (virtual) man.

So bloody hell, I don't know whether it is feminism...

A true feminist, I would think, would see CC as standing for everything they stand against. Feminism is not just about being equal to men, or even superior to men - it is about respecting one for who one is. CC is a site where women largely are looked upon as sexual objects, whether they are in Little shy or Glamour or Instant Action, or whatever. It's about how the woman looks, appeals to men, can attract men. It seems to me that true feminism looks upon being seen or treated as objects, as something distasteful. Women are persons, first and foremost, and feminism is a call to recognize that fact. The equality is in their personhood, their humanness. Not in their superiority or control over men. There are, I'm sure, some who would take "feminism" to that extreme (though I would not class them as "true feminists.")

Granted there is much more than this to feminism as well as to CC. But I do think the two are fundamentally contradictory to each other.

That's just my thoughts. Sorry, though, for butting in to this "A question for hosts" thread.

I think originally (18-19 century) feminists wanted women to gain at least some rights- to be able to have property, get divorced from their (violent ) husbands and be able to do not only "female" jobs- as servants, seemstresses, governesses or prostitutes. I mean women had NO rights--> no choice.

Nowadays its not the case. For me feminism is perhaps about learning what I want and choosing the right path in life.

Only a puny minority of women are yet appointed to company boards or even elected as MPs so when it comes to real big money the attitude is still pretty regressive. In eastern europe, maybe, the girls' attitude maybe indicates there has been progress - usually indicated by a rejection of the label of feminiist because you now have the luxury of feeling youve made it to where you can stand on your own 2 feet.
Of course that might be a delusion and things do tend to change between ladies' boom and ladies' bust.

In the late 60's we had what they now call the Second Wave, with Women's Liberation. And while women have not caught up to men yet, there has been incredible progress in the last 40 plus years. And it shows no signs of slowing down. If the current pace continues, women will surpass men completely in the next 20 to 30 years.

On the other hand, I also never enter open if other people are already there; it just kinda feels wrong, like I'm interrupting.
Btw, just as a point of fact, I've had many open sessions I've started, so was first one in, and the hosts pretty much gave me their full attention all the way through, while more or less seeming to ignore others. I never fuss about it one way or another, but that's just the way it seems to play out.
I've always kind of looked at it this way: It's definitely a show; the host is the star, the first guy in is the director, and anyone else after that is an audience member just there to be a voyeur.
I've also had plenty of 121's : those are sessions where the host has some sort of major Wow factor, that I just want her all to myself.
So I really see both sides of the coin; I usually do though, having both good empathy and perception.

We can only suggest baby and sympathise. An awful lot have been there.
Try to change your routine, change anything just to make your days different. Try something new. Something you dont think you can do, try to prove to yourself you can. Find some old music youve forgotten. Do something with other new people youll probably find a friend - one person can make a huge difference. Think of as many good things as you can and try to emphasise them. If you just have arms and legs, can move travel and dance you are better off than some.

i tried pills when something terrible happened to me. I just couldnt get myself to stop thinking about it and the grief was overwhelming. the pills were wearing me out. So I have to man up :)) I did know the pills are addictive and could make it worse.
Anyways I cant sleep that much so I get the blues sometimes ..maybe cause I cant rest.
I know that thinking positive doesnt work :) well not when you feel really down. You know the drill .. music movies
What it helps when I feel down is food. I eat more nuts than I usually do.I have read that the cashews help tried them and they seem to work for me. Raw cocoa beans works better than raw cocoa. And certain brands of green tea get me hyped up to the point of frisssky:))

Do some reading on serotonin . also seems like iron deficiency seems to be linked to clinical depression.
