im glad im the first to post anything. actually i stay away from blondes for the most case. i do not see the attraction to blondes that most men have. i love long brown or brunette hair. it isnt whats outside that attracts me to a host it is what i find on the inside that keeps me coming back. i look into a womans soul and heart and i get lost in their internal beauty. yes at first there might be a physical attraction but if a host doesnt have internal beauty i soon forget them.

some people meet thru community chat, but this can be a really weird place. it seems like or appears like (call it what you will) there is always one person who is acting like the chat group leader. many members and hosts always acknowledge him when he's online, and he's online a great deal. It's almost as if many fear him, because he lets u know real quick when (in his opinion) you have crossed a certain line, and say something that may be out of wack with what everyone else may be talking about. I have never understood how anyone can have a "real friend" on an internet website when these so called friends never even see or hear one another. all they see are words being typed on a screen, and in my opinion this is very cold and impersonal. so frankly, i don't understand the concept of "true internet friendship?" It's similar to virtual reality in that it's not "really real," but as the previous member pointed out quite well, that cc is a business, so when you forget this you really do begin to fool yourself, and alot of people on here are just down right fooled. how can you say yes im friends with another member on cc, when you never see or hear the voice of that member? you are strictly going by words typed alone. can typed words on a computer monitor actually mean that you can establish a real friendship? i think not, but some people are fooled into believing that they really are friends. i would prefer to use the word acquaintance rather than friend on an internet website such as this one. but your absolutely right Kindblaze, some people here take things not only seriously but sometimes too seriously, and thats hard to fathom on something that is completely computer generated. and yes you are right again, these personalities do exist, as if they are playing a role of a certain character. so your question, "how to relate to cc" is a very valid question. i suppose we all relate to it differently, but if people truly think they are becoming or have become friends with one another simply by typing a few words to each other on a daily basis, then something is surely missing here. Ok, so maybe a 'very few' actually become friends; i believe they will find themselves in the minority. I think it's really an excellent question that you have asked, and one that obviously requires a great deal of insight and further discussion on the subject. The Virtual World vs. the Real World. should the virtual world replace the real world, im afraid we're all in a lot of trouble! also, you really do have to differentiate between hosts and members. menbers are here for the pleasure or fun of it all, while the hosts are here to make money. yes the hosts and members do pay each other compliments, such as in comchat, and even though i believe thats to keep the chat going and to also advertise (for the hosts) it appears to me to be somewhat superficial. as for your part of the question that has to do with what the "guys are lookin for here," all i can tell you is "This guy is still trying to figure that one out?" LOL

Here's my take on it...

If you charge someone $1.00 per minute for him to see you on video (or whatever you charge), then that really is not being a friend. That is similar to you charging me $1.00 per minute to have tea with you, to go out with you, to spend time with you, and so on. You can't be a true friend if you charge someone by the minute to see you.

Here's a test to see if you are a friend or not...

If the person never goes to your video and you know he will never spend money on your video, would you continue to talk to him? Would you continue to spend as much time talking to him? I really think the answer in most cases is NO.

For these reasons I tend to stay away from Hosts in the Non-Adult area. When one approaches me in chat, I always say to myself, "Hmmmm... this girl is in the 'Friendship' area, but her main goal is to get me into her video and make money.. Everything she says to me will be aimed at getting me into her video." Some girls take very small steps to try to get you into video, while others take bigger steps.

And, of course I understand this. This is a business first, and anything else comes second.

CC is real. It is a business but friendships and love does happen. This fantasy site affects many lives in income for hosts and pleasure for its members. I know my life "in real" involves real friends from cc.

I think real friendships can develop but in 99% of cases it is not real friendship - just $.

There are literally hundreds of sites where you can go and chat with men and women and form friendships and relationships at little or no cost. The problem is you actually have to have a personality. You have be interesting, or funny or clever or in some way appealing. If you are not you are left high and dry. At CC all you have to do is cough up some money and voila...you are that appealing human being you are not in real life. Remove the financial aspect of CC and it would close. Stop paying the hosts and they will leave. Stop offering sexual stimulation and the members will leave. This site would not sustain itself on nonadult alone.

Remember most hosts will not look back fondly on their time here. They hold must members in contempt. Members are a source of money to be exploited. This is a job for them. Nothing more. The friendship part is marketing.

Best advice I can give you on the meeting someone in the Philippines is the Mag-Anak Yahoo group. Their mail list/boards deal with everything from travel to cultural differences and visas.

Be careful:) seriously -many girls here are very keen to meet a european or american-green card syndrom. a) they may have boyfriends in tow b) should you get seriously involved they have large families to support and they expect you to help known as the rice ticket c) the slinky cute loving little doll you may have met here will quite quickly turn into a dumpy shrewish little madame once you have installed her as queen of the house. This may sound cynical but dont let a cc fantasy turn into a millstone. Go there have fun but watch out there is an agenda you dont want wake up one morning with a marriage licence and a beeming new wife about to put her hooks into you. This has happened to one guy I know and they dont do divorce over there.

Actually WTF advice was very good. Malaria is a serious disease, in fact much more serious then HIV. So get all your vaccinations as well as some quinine. In other words go to your family Dr and get the needed medical advice before going. Have fun.

I did contract malaria, not in the Philipines, but in Sout Vietnam, and it is a real nut cracker. You don't want to go through this if you can help it. There is no vaccine that I know of. There sure wasn't in 1966 when I got it. Also in the last year well known MSNBC on air personality Chris Matthews got it when he traveled to souteast Asia.

I have been to the Philippines 6 times in the past three years and am heading back again in 6 weeks. I have never had any problems while there. I never took any quinine or took any special precautions. It certainly would not hurt to follow the precautions of the others who replied but, like I said, I have had no problems at all. As far as kidnapping, you need to be aware of the areas that are having rebel problems. Check with your embassy about areas with lots of rebel activiity. Take normal precautions like you would anywhere. During my previous trips, all my time has been spent in Luzon and I have never felt in danger. I have felt more insecure in New York City than I have anywhere in the Philippines. You don't indicate what part of the Philippines you are visiting. I feel the cities are less risky while the provinces pose more danger.
As far as the gal you are meeting, keep in mind that she may already have met several other guys from CC. If you get involved with her, you are involved with the entire family and that includes cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents. The problem is magnified if you fall in love and start sending money. I know this all to well.
You will also find that the people in the Philippines are truly a wonderful people. I have many friends there now, both male and female and I always look forward to my visits.

Speaking of which, no one has mention the price for all this. Anyone can give an estimate on a *nice trip?--as opposed to a humble one? Thanks.

Ignoring the price of an airline ticket, I have found that I can have a "nice trip" in Angeles City for 100USD per day and that includes the cost of lodging. I know guys who spend more than that and some who spend less. A lot depends on what type of lodging you require. I spend 50USD per day for my hotel as I like having a pool available. You can spend much less than that which leaves even more money for the ladies. Most everything is very inexpensive, including food and alcohol.

Well, in fairness, I'm not really concerned about a need for condoms. I'm not travelling there for sex. If something sexual happens, I'll figure out how to properly ask for them at the store. :)

"Pepermint flavored" lol... The only condoms I've ever used have been flavored with good 'ol Nonoxynol-9.

be careful J, if you are travelling alone by train. ive heard stories about bandits, yes i said bandits, jumping on the train illegally and trying to rob people. ive also heard the police ignore them just like they ignore the neo nazis beating up on foreigners. all the cops wants are a pay off to look the other way. bring plenty of money.$ good luck.

The police are corrupt? That's just great. Who do you turn to for help, if the bandits have the police ignoring a crime?

J, if you do this trip, you should travel with at least 2 other guys and they should be friends of yours. always better to travel in groups, as bandits and others are mainly looking to target 'one guy travelling alone.' I know it's not a very comfortable situation, but for your own sake, don't go over there alone! not everyone is corrupt over there, but russia like other countries in eastern europe are struggling with their not so great economies! so it's a big risk, and maybe a bigger one than you want to take?! are you sure you can't find a nice girl from Austria on here??? take care!!
