Well, yes, sadly AxB does not live next door to me. And yes, she is clearly not the girl next door or typical, natural looking beauty that I usually prefer. But as I said in another post, I don't think the jump from AxB in video to AxB in photoshop pics is that big, at leasat not when compared to other hosts. Of course, this is because she did a lot of editing on her own body so no need for photoshop, lol. I usually don't like this in a woman, but like I have said, she is an exception. I think that a pre-nup can be warranted in different situations. What comes to mind are three situations: 1) where one person has a lot more assets than the other, 2) when one person has certain assets that he wants to protect (an interest in a family business, for example), and 3) when one person has children from a previous marriage and he wants to protect his children. This applies regardless of how the two people met. All of these are reasonable bases for a prenup, and I think a potential partner should understand this.

I think that the reason for your question is simple though, and that brings up another situation when a pre-nup can be a good idea, namely, you have reasonable doubt about whether this will all work out. Normally, I would say wait, but you are probably in a situation (due to visa requirements, et cetera) where in order to be together, you need to get married

You are marrying a chathost. I am guessing that as much as you love her and think she loves you, the bottom line is you haven't spent enough time with her to be sure you are doing the right thing. Unfortunately, unless you have moved to her country or she has moved to yours for an extended period of time (at least 6 months to a year in my view), you really have no idea if you are doing the right thing. There is no way to know if those cute little annoying habits each of you have are going to drive each other insane once together for an extended period. There is no way to know for sure if you two think alike and are truly compatible. There never is a way to know for sure, but the distance makes things all the more difficult. And with divorce rates around 50% (at least in USA), you have ever reason to be concerned.

I suggest that you talk to the host (hopefully she is not in my favorites, lol) and discuss the reasons that are making you post your question in the first place. If you are not comfortable doing that, then DON'T GET MARRIED! You have NOT found the right person. You don't need to bring up the idea of a prenup right away (although, I guess she is reading this and you already have, lol). Instead, simply lay out your concerns. "Honey, are you sure we are ready? Do we know each other well enough?", and then ease into the idea of a prenup. For example:

"Honey, I love you. My heart wants you more than anything in the world. But the reality is, we have not spent a lot of time together. Most of that time has been online and over the phone. The reality is, the only way to truly be together in light of our situations is to get married. Otherwise, there is no way to get an extended visa. And as much as I want this, I still have some concerns because living day to day in real life is a lot different than talking each day online, and those concerns make me think that maybe we should settle a few issues before we get married."

Obviously, she may be offended by this. But the reality is you met her online and are from two different worlds and have spent most of your relationship apart. Love is enough to bring you together, but it definitely is not enough to keep you together. Things, unfortunately, go wrong in relationships. People married 10 or 20 years get divorced so there are no guarantees. And since I am guessing you have certain assets you want to protect, I think that you need to discuss this with her. Perhaps just agree to exclude certain assets in the event of divorce.

Unlike other opinions here, as awkward as the prenup subject is, I don't think that the idea of it means the marriage is doomed from the start. I have seen too many situations where it would have been a good idea to have had one, and marrying someone you have not spend a lot of time with "in real" is one of them. I don't care if you have visited her 100 times and love her with all of your heart and feel she loves you the same way, unless you have spent a long period of time with her (months in a row), you are rolling the dice and hoping for the best. This is always the case, but in your situation, even more so.

By the way, do not hide anything from her if you enter a prenup. Disclose everything or the agreement may be found to be invalid. And make sure she has her own attorney advising her. Don't just try to draw up an agreement yourself. Finally, be fair... it is the right thing to do and it will make it more likely the agreement will be upheld.

I am divorced and have 3 children. I have 4 different successful businesses and I dont want my future wife to claim part or full ownership on any of my businesses since that's part of what my children get after I past away. In the the U.S. doesn't she have to stay married for at least a couple years before she can divorce and remain a U.S. citizen. IF the marraige fails before then, then what? How would a pre-nup protect her if she has to leave the country?

In USA , if a marriage was entered into with good intentions and a divorce occured, there is a special form to apply for citizenship after the divorce. What many don`t realize,,,if you bring a partner over on a K-1 visa ( fiancee) you are finacially responsible for that person for 10 years and must sign a paper agreeing to this.This means if the spouse goes on welfare or any social service program,,,you may be required to repay the expenses occured. As stated earlier,,, a will or prenup is a good idea ,specially if there are children from previous .

Well, there are some issues about a chathost's ability to get adequate legal counsel. I am not sure where the guy is from, or even if she is moving to his country or if he is moving to hers, or even if they will get married in one country and move to another.

In USA, you have 90 days to get married via a fiancee visa so I guess things would need to be done pretty fast if this is the case here. Plus, since the woman would need to go home if not married during that time period, there could be issues as to the fairness, and therefore the legitimacy, of any contract signed under those type of conditions. She could always try to arrange for representation before arriving in the member's country... perhaps she has a friend there or some other way to do this. Finally, depending on where the marriage occurs and where the prenup is signed, there could be all types of international law issues.

The key is that a minimum, the woman needs her own lawyer to increase the chances that the agreement will be upheld. There should not be one lawyer trying to represent both. (I am not even sure if a lawyer would be allowed to represent both in any event in the USA due to a conflict of interest.)

One suggestion I thought of by the way was for the member to agree to buy a life insurance policy and pay the premiums. If the issue is kids from a prior marriage or protecting a family business, and if the marriage came to a natural end (death) instead of divorce, then the wife would be taken care of. Perhaps some type of annuity could be purchased at the end of the marriage in the event that the marriage ended in divorce and the size of the annuity would be based on the number of years married instead of being stuck wih alimony.

There are all types of fair, creative ways to approach the situation. The key to remember is that in the typical case, the host is uprooting herself and moving to a member's country so the member needs to understand she is taking a big risk, maybe even a bigger rish than the member, too. It isn't all about money. And recognizing this and discussing all of these issues will allow for a difficult, awkward discussion to reach an amicable conclusion.

I too have large assets to protect. I would always require a prenup. I have kids who will be the primary beneficiaries of my estate. Not only a prenup but a will should also be considered. Last consideration would be the laws of the Country you will live in.

While many suggest a prenuptial agreement is a a guarantee for doom, I generally disagree.

If you are both twenty something and just beginning in life , it's a different story. Part of the great romance in beginning a marriage for young people is the working together to build a secure future for their family. Devising ways to save for that first home, ie; going out together to find a great deal on a piece of furniture at a second hand store or painting your first place together , can be a rewarding event and a shared memory to reflect upon one day. Working together with a common goal is a great part in developing the foundation for happiness and a long relationship.

On the other hand, when there is a disparity in age, previous marital status, children from a previous relationship or significant differences in assets, a prenuptial agreement can be a fine idea.

But, to simply state "what's mine is mine and what's yours is yours" is not necessarily fair. If there is a great disparity in assets, and I am assuming you are considering the prenup based on this, I hardly consider this to be a reasonable expectation.

Why? In my opinion, it places one party at an extreme disadvantage and can always be used as leverage, thereby potentially placing the disadvantaged party in a perceived , or actual, subservient role.

As others have suggested, I would also advise discussing the matter with an attorney. Most prenups include a no fault clause, which would entitle the disadvantaged spouse to a reasonable compensation in the event the relationship simply did not work, so my point may be moot. Depending on where you live this may be automatic even if you have a iron clad prenup which does not allow for that consideration.

I'd like CC to revamp the photo section that each girl has. Some girls have few or next to none...some girls have an incredible amount that have built up over time. I understand that the idea is for a guest to be able to see "dated photos" -- so you can see what the girl looks like from a recent show. But who needs photos from 2 or 3 years ago? Those are pointless if the girl has changed much (gained weight or dyed her hair or some such thing). I think each girl should simply get their own personal photo gallery attached to their profile, which could 100 or so photos. That's more than enough since she could always rotate new photos in and old photos out. Then I think it would be nice if a member could click on the photos and see them LARGER than we do now and at a far better quality and resolution level. Too many of the photos you see now in the girl's galleries were taken with their cams and the photos look small, fuzzy, and blah. So make the pictures bigger and better.

I totally disagree with everything you say. If a host has a long photo archive it indicates how experienced she is. I also like to see how a host looked in the past and enjoy looking at the older pics of my favorite hosts. There appears to be no limit to the number of photos a host has in her archives so why not leave things as they are. If you only want to look at the recent photos that is fine. I also think it is better to keep the resolution of the photos as it is now and mainly have photos taken with the host's cam. This means that the photo gives a closer representation of how the host actually looks in video. As a general comment i am generally pleased to see new features but do not like to see new rules or restrictions. This is what your suggestions seem to be. Part of the unique charm of CC for is the freedom it gives to hosts to do their own thing (compared with many other sites) and relaxed informal atmosphere.

It is essential (for me) to see pics that resemble a typical webcam session with this host, but it's very nice to see pics from outside or even from professional photo sessions from time to time.

Host is there a limit to the size of the pic you can currently upload as I think this is what suggestion box means. Even the best pics aren't a great resolution.

Personally, I enjoy any kind of conversation that allows me to connect with the member, granting that "first date" feeling, it doesn't matter what the topic is. Yes, but some Hosts do become good friends with a certain guy they met online, so just like in real life -- where you would exchange with a good friend your email addresses or phone numbers or even home mailing addresses so you could do something as simple as send Christmas cards to each other -- why shouldn't a host give out her information to someone she's actually become good friends with?

I never tried to say that all hosts give members their home addresses. The vast majority do not and are completely within their rights not to do so.. Early in the thread a poster suggested that when hosts give their address it is often a false one. I merely wanted to point out that not all hosts are liars. I agree it got a bit out of hand after that.

Sometimes is much better to be safe than later be sorry. I saw one case in my studio where the girl was in trouble for trusting her all time member that never saw her show.
