Suggested rules change

Although it won't help for this contest, I have a suggestion for the next time the puzzle is used:
When a member's and host's puzzles match to complete, make it automatic rather than allowing the host to accept or reject the offer. Since it is we members who pay for the video's, it shouldn't be a gamble. Allow me to explain.
Friday evening, I was able to match my puzzle with a host's. Had she accepted right away, we would have been in the top 10 and thereby split the $2000. However, she was obviously greedy and wanted to complete the puzzle by herself. In the meantime, the top 10 filled up. She was able to complete her own puzzle later, earning herself $1000. Had she simply accepted the linkup between our puzzles, we both would have won $1000! This should never happen, in that the host has the power over the paying member. Either the link should be automatic or there should at least be a rule that states a host cannot complete by herself if there has been a request for a link. None of this "accept" or "reject".
Keep in mind that the hosts would not have any puzzle pieces if it were not for the members paying for them.

RE: Suggested rules change

There would be contest or anyone to talk to (or oggle) if it weren't for the hosts.

Don't underestimate the work they put in and how difficult it truly is.

Another point, that host may have had 20 guys helping her gain pieces also. What do you suggest for them, they may have contribute more pieces and more dollars (or euros) than you?

You intimated she was greedy...i suggest you also are greedy and self-centered in your statements.

RE: Suggested rules change

To address your comments:

1) This is a chicken and egg argument...without the hosts, the members wouldn't have anything....without the members, the hosts wouldn't need to be here. When the hosts begin to pay the members, this will become valid.

2) I never commented that the hosts don't work hard here. I know they do. My comments had absolutely nothing to do with their effort, simply about creating a level playing field for all.

3) If we were to consider all the guys who may help a host, there would have to be a rule stating that the host could ONLY accept a link from those members who assisted them in getting puzzle pieces. Since that would create a very boring contest, not really an option. CC created a page for members to go see which hosts are filling out a specific puzzle in the hopes that there could be a linkage. Plus, just read the forum messages from hosts looking for members to link up.

4) Agreed that my comments sound self-centered and greedy, however as I stated above, it is the members who are paying here so they should have the easiest option for winning. Besides, members only get credits here which must be spent on the hosts. The hosts get cash.

I may depict a bit of sarcasm here....but

There are no perfect people and the strive for physical "perfection" makes many lose track of inner and true beauty. Things like truth, honesty, sincerity and integrity make a person beautiful also.
Outward beauty fades (even with surgery) and all that is left is a shell of a human being with no substance if all we judge ourselves by is outward "perfection".

RE: Suggested rules change

Great idea, a contest oriented towards the members. If a member wins he/she (I am sure there are a few) gets to designated certain amount of prize ($100, $250, $500) to his (or her) favourite host!

Reply

RE: Suggested rules change

Your completely missing the point.
When a puzzle can be completed, it should be completed.
Remember this contest is a promotion to get more viewers
for chathosts. Chathosts are awarded money, while viewers are
awarded money to spend on chathosts.
If your generating bad feelings, its defeating the purpose of the contest!

RE: Suggested rules change

I had the same problem you had. She waited until she had enough pieces to win on her own and then rejected me. That was her choice. Remember I also had the choice of abandoning my offer to her, and making an offer to someone else. It is possible that by keeping me waiting she might have won nothing at all. I think it is a good competition - no rule changes are wanted

so you are saying that AboveXBeyond is greedy - everyone has choice in the game so take it for what it is - a game

It's not a game that involves any skill, just spend lots of money and maybe you will get lucky. The Easter egg hunt was more fun

RE: Suggested rules change

Guy’s are you sure you have your facts straight? This is how the contest was set-up and this is how it goes sometimes. Hey ‘rejected’ your sounding a little jealous, how do you know the host you didn’t mention was being greedy? I missed out on the $1000 but I don’t post on a forum and start whinning like a little bitch about it. ‘espitzer’, nice post buddy your obviously a real charmer with the ladies! Give these girls a break and a little respect, these contests are very busy times for them and lots is happening and going on. I’m sensing a little jealousy here and maybe you should take your issue up with the host directly before calling them out on a public forum, anything otherwise is bad kharma!

RE: Suggested rules change

I think the host having an option of being able to decline or accept an invitation to link a puzzle is a good thing. I would be pissed if I was working with somebody and then I had to go and some other guy just comes and links and gets the prize with the host. I am sure that a lot of members would be upset.

Did you spend anytime with the host in question in her video earning pieces with her or did you just try to join her puzzle?

on a hot summer night

So you applied your hungry mouth without any guilt or humiliation. As I lie on my bed thinking about you, I feel this strong urge to grab you and squeeze you, because I can't forget last night. You came to me unexpectedly in the stillness. What happened in my bed still leaves a tingling sensation in me. You appeared from nowhere and shamelessly, without any reservations, you lay on my naked body... You sensed my indifference, you drove me near crazy while you drained me. Finally I went to sleep. Today when I woke up, you were gone. I searched for you but to no avail, only the sheets bore witness to the night's events. My body still bears faint marks of your enthusiastic ravishing, making it harder to forget you. Tonight I'll stay awake waiting for you.............

Einstein's Theory

Einstein was born March 14, 1879. He would be 129 if he were alive today.
Few people remember that the Nobel Prize winner married his cousin, Elsa Lowenthal, after his first marriage dissolved in 1919.
At the time he stated that he was attracted to Elsa because she was so well endowed.
He postulated that if you are attracted to women with large breasts, the attraction is even stronger if there is a DNA Connection. This came to be known as....

Looking at the scores I guess if you need 12 pieces of less you still have a chance to win something. If more than that you need to have a good day today.

What members want...

A host asked me what it was that member's were looking for when they came to CC. What could a host do that would keep them happy and more importantly keep them coming back. This is what I told her.

Pretend that the member is your boyfriend and he is several hundred miles away from you working, or going to school or for some other reason. You won't be able to be with him for a long time. You love him very much and he loves you. You communicate with him cam to cam online. Your bf misses you and is horny for you. What would you do as a gf to turn him on, make him miss being with you, give him something to remember until he next chats with you, and doesn't even want to think about other women. It would be personal, hot, sensual, sexy, intimate and intense. If a chat host can do that for a member. What is sometimes call the "gfe" (girl friend experience)...then I can assure you ...you will be very busy on CC.

So eye contact, smiles, all you attention on the camera, turn on your man, drive him crazy and show him how much you miss him. Piece of cake.

I hope to God you were speaking tongue-in-cheek. As long as the host makes it very clear that "pretending" to be the member's gf IS ONLY pretend... a fantasy game. Otherwise it will give the wrong message. And the lonely, or not-too-discerning, member will be led down a path of heartache and deception.

Already in these forums you can read about the guys who fall hopelessly in love with a host, sure that she is the one for him, convinced that the feeling is mutual. Maybe some are. But lets be careful in this realm called "fantasy" Because some people can't distinguish between the two. And the host that plays on that weakness, while she may have money rolling in, is lower than low.

Timbuktu

A priest and an Australian sheep shepherd attend in a quiz show.
At the end of the regular question round, the score is even and the moderator asks a tie-break question:

Make a verse withing 5 minutes which rhymes with "Timbuktu" ...

5 minutes later the priest steps forward and starts:

I was a father all my life,
had no children, had no wife.
I read the bible through and through
on my way to Timbuktu.

The audience is enthusiastic and sees the priest as the winner for sure. Then the Aussie steps out and starts with his rhyme:

When Tim and I to Brisbane went
we met three ladies cheap to rent.
They were three but we were two
so I booked one and Tim booked two.
