I've been to San Francisco a number of times. It is safer in my experience than some other major U.S. cities in terms of where a tourist would go. There are, of course, some bad areas that you would want to stay away from, but I don't think you would have any reason to go to them.

There are A LOT of homeless people there so be prepared to say "Sorry, I can't help you" a number of times and just keep walking. I've never seen a homeless person in the USA start arguing when someone says no. Just look straight ahead, walk with purpose (like u got somewhere to be and don't want to be interrupted), don't smile, and say "sorry, I cannot help you." It always works for me, but I am from the northeastern USA, and we tend to walk around looking like if you bother us, we are going to kill you. And avoid making eye contact with strangers.

Also avoid looking like a tourist and walking around with your head looking up around you while some guy grabs your purse. If you have a map, go into a store to look at it. If you are really a "russian beauty", you are going to draw enough attention to yourself as it is. You really want 100 strange guys trying to help you at once? And don't dress sexy or nice. Just sneakers/tennis shoes, jeans (not real tight ones, lol), and a a plain shirt. You're a tourist, not a cam girl, so don't follow my "tips" below (not that you were going to anyway, lol).

Also, wear comfortable walking shoes. SF has A LOT of BIG hills. I think the best way to see a city is to walk as much as possible, but in SF, it sometimes is like walking up the side of a mountain.

The weather can be pretty damp there since it is on the water, and it can feel cold and damp in the summer. It is also pretty windy there at times. I would defintiely bring at least a light jacket no matter what time of year I was going to be there. I am less certain about the weather in the Winter, Spring, or Fall, but I believe the weather is pretty much the same most of the year. It won't usually ever be very cold or very hot.

In terms of things to see, you want to go to Golden Gate Park, the Haight-Ashbury district (which is near the park), Alcatraz, and Fisherman's Wharf. There are also some other sites but a guide book should tell you the major ones to see. You should also go across the Golden Gate Bridge to see some of the giant Red Wood trees. I think Muir Woods is not too far away, but I haven't been there in a long time. You might also want to go to Sausalito (the city on the other side of the Golden Gate) and Berkely. You will probably need a car to go to Sausilito and the Red Woods. You can take the "BART" (metro) to the first station in Oakland and walk to Berkely, but it is a pretty long walk. (I believe it will be the first station you arrive at after you go under the Oakland Bay and arrive in Oakland.) And you can rent a bicyle and ride it through Golden Gate Park. but there might be some things you want to see so maybe you will want a good bike lock... perhaps the store you rent from can provide one.

Make sure you go to "China Town". There is very good Chinese food in San Francisco. And you will want to ride a Cable Car. Again, I would buy a guide book (and search online too) to get the key spots to see and some good restaurant names. You can get some good food there without spending a lot if you pick the right places. I don't remember the names right now but guide books should help.

Lived in S.F. many years and still have relatives there. My favorite places; Fisherman's Wharf and the Yosemite National Park. YNP is practically outside SF, but its worth the trip if you are there. It's one of the nicest cities in the U.S. I am sure you'll want to visit Downtown and see the stores. Avoid walking the same sidewalk where you see gangs of youth, cross the street and never look at them regardless how safe they might look to you. Member of many blah... Said it well for the rest.

Weather in SF is mild. Never too cold or too hot.

Like any big city it has crime. Some area more than others, but in general it's safe place or there wouldn't be so many visitors from all over the world.

Always it's better to travel with friend or group or have tour guide/host for your visit. There is a small Russian community in SF, including a Russian consulate. If you do a web search you can probably find a Russian group or organization in SF that can help answer any question you have.

As for places to stay, years ago I stayed at a hostel in mid-town, above the mission district, that was relatively safe and not too expensive. Wish I could remember the name of the place, but it is still there.

I love San Francisco. I live on the east coast of the USA, but I have a cousin who lives out there, so I do visit now and then. Have a great time.

I prefer the host be honest. And I visit both, married, single, spoken for, etc. There are quite a few that work with their bf's/husbands. I am sure there are more than a few hosts that lie about this. But if a host is up front about it, it helps set the tone of the communication, and a relief to me. But for those members looking for possible love/relationship, and then find out their potential girl is married...after she led him to believe she was available.. could be a bit disappointing. First, I just used the term "makeup" as a generic way of saying make yourself look better instead of like you just fell out of bed, lol. I actually prefer less makeup to more. I was simply saying to do what you usually do when you would go to work at another job because many hosts don't seem to take the time to get themselves ready.

Second, there is no need for you do listen to me. But you should remember one thing: the members are the ones with the money, and my posts are an attempt to try to get you to appeal to me and what I think other members like. Read her post again. First it starts off saying it is okay to give my opinion, and then she thinks about it more and says I shouldn't attempt to speak for all. I apologize for not having a disclaimer that I do not speak for all. Obviously, your Z has an attitude that says "don't try to tell me how to do my job". Well, I am the customer, and so why not say what I would like to see? But it is okay. Have inferior profile pics. Have inferior archive pics. Don't look your best in video. If that is what ladies want to do, then fine. I did not read Z's post the way you did; I was rather more charitable to her (and less to you, admittedly).

A conventional approach in vid or profile photos is not everyone's cup of tea. Some hosts use their profiles for personal expression, to give a sense of who they are, regardless of what you think as a middle-of-the-road "customer."

For example, I look at Zoraide's archive and see a creative mind at work in the breadth and variety of photos. Some of them are rather ordinary (in an every-day sense), some of them are quite stunning. The latest series tells a fun little erotic story. That kind of creativity gets *my* attention over some rather ordinary, if well-executed (and photo-shopped), studio photos.

Other hosts have written profiles that are so exuberant and fun I am drawn in. I want to meet *that* woman, and I have, and I've been delighted.

I would think it unfortunate if all hosts simply followed Member's Guidelines for Success at CC (and judging from some of the responses, fat chance lol).

And if I read your post wrong, Z, I apologize. But I detected a "don't tell me what to do" type of attitude even if it was politely stated. Hosts are always asking for what members want and that is what I told them. It is up to the host to decide if she thinks I speak for the majority or not. But remember, all I said was make a good profile pic and try not to look like you just rolled out of bed. Maybe hosts don't like how I phrased things, but I hardly think this is bad advice. And since I am told how often hosts are posting "I'm sad. Traffic is slow." in their forum, maybe what is obvious to some is not obvious to all.

Further, HooDooBoy, I am not suggesting all hosts do the same thing and have a bunch of photochopped pics. I am simply saying that it is foolish of them not to put their best foot forward and look their best. But looking their best doesn't mean the same thing for each host. For some, it could mean looking like a supermodel. For some it could mean looking like the girl next door. But the "I just woke up 5 minutes ago" look probably isn't what guys like. If I already know the host, then I wouldn't be turned off, but for a host looking for new members, again this is hardly a good idea.

This is a job and to maximize earnings, a host needs to take her job seriously. But many hosts have an approach whereby they feel they can just sign in and members will jump into their rooms instead of trying to do the things HooDooBoy, other members, and I have said will lure them there and keep them there.

Anyway, the ladies are free to do what they want. I have a very good idea of who the top hosts here are based on their earnings and they take the approach that I have suggested. And several, by the way, know me well enough and my writing style well enough to recognize who the poster was, to say they agree, and to compliment me on the post.

If you want to kill the messenger, then fine, but hosts would be smart to follow his advice after the funeral is over.

Well some guys are posting "best profile" pics each day in the viewer forum so that can help you (although some are just listing their favorite hosts or joking around). I suppose I can list a few hosts that I like when I get a chance to give you an idea of some good pics. I would love to list the bad ones, lol, but I will be nice.

The key to remember is to make yourself look as good as possible and not just wake hope, have your coffee, and say "Guess I need some pics for the archives today" or "Traffic has been slow. Guess I will take a new profile pic today" regardless of how you look at the moment. And of course not everyone is equally attractive, but while they may be viewed as "popular" or as "beautiful", I can tell you that not all the cover girls are nearly as attractive as they seem in their contest pics or archives, but they get a member in the room and take it from there. That is the key. Getting that guy in the room, but you still need to be a good host in terms of your show and personality to keep a guy there.

Go with your strengths. If you have a cute face, go with the sweet smile type pic. If you have certain portions of your body that are sexy, go with that. (I personally don't like just leg shots, but a cute face, nice breasts, nice ass, or some combination of these all can work depending upon the host.) You just need something that makes me think "Okay, let me check her archives and see how she looks and then I'll check her price to see if I think she is worth it." And get the quality of the pic (lighting, clarity) as good as possible.

And if you are not a supermodel, use your pics to go for the more innocent, sweet approach and try glamour or little shy instead of trying to show you are as kinky as possible and will do almost anything (unless you are in fetish, of course). I think in the long run, you will get more regulars instead of the one time visitors. A guy will stay a long time just chatting at $1,00/min if you likes you and you will make more than $1,50/min or more per minute putting on a show where he cums in 10 minutes and leaves so there is definitely a place for the more average type of women.

I sometimes have found myself staying a lot longer than I ever expected when the price is low. You get in the room and are thinking that you can stay longer since it is a low price. When I am with a more expensive host, I always have a clock in my head and am thinking about getting out fast.

I don't know the optimal price point, but there is an advantage of a lower price in the long run for some hosts. At the same time, some hosts can charge $2,00 or more and guys will stay for hours just chatting so it all depends, but I think there are some hosts who might benefit from a lower price as long as they are not in a category where a guy can demand she gets naked under the rules.

It really all depends. I have gone open, little shy, under $1,00, and the host acts like it is instant action and is ready to strip before I get past hi, how are you? The point is that some hosts might really benefit from a lower price, could get away with chatting a lot more, maybe attracting some nicer viewers, and would make more money in the end.

I like to spend time going through and reading profiles. I'll look through all the pics a host has, and some of them have a lot. What gets my attention most are the regular cam pics. I have no use for the glamour style and professional looking photo shoots and I usually skip over those since they don't really show what I will see in video, which is what I am here for.
I spend more time at, and will probably be more likely to move from reading the profile to going to video or at least breaking the ice in text chat, when the profile pics give a good impression of what I can expect in video.

I usually skim the profiles although most are not worth reading (except for the ones that I write for host friends, of course, lol). The key point is that the profile pic is what will get me to take the time to read the profile in the first place so it needs to be as good as possible.

I agree. The profile pic needs to be provocative. And it is a good idea to try to match the written profile to the profile pic to the extent possible (I am sweet.... have sweet smile pic, special: great breasts.... have a pic of them, et cetera).

In terms of the nails and other type of more specific things, I think going for the largest audience and sticking with face, breasts, butt, and whole body is best. A host can open a second session in fetish and have two sessions if she wants to cater to guys that like feet and nails. Plus, she can have a more mainstream pic as her profile pic in her regular session and a specialized pic each time she takes pics for her archives so, for example, every archives group has a nails pic or a feet pic to cater to guys that like that stuff. Sometimes if such pics are in a regular category, I will take the time to check the archives but usually I just skip them.

Finally, I am really not worried about a bunch of glamourass pics... This is what I want. I don't think anybody will get lost. I will just pic the ones I like best, and other guys will go with their tastes. I think hosts need to put their best feet (although not in their profile pics, lol) forward.
