after what is going on in Europe, no way the euro will be the world's reserve currency. In fact, it might not even continue to exist, but I wouldn't expect that to happen. (Hey... I got an idea... Let's bring together a bunch of people that speak different languages, have different cultures, think differently, have nothing in common other than geography, and have a history of not getting along and unite them all under one poliltical and economic system.) Perhaps one day it will be China's currency, but not any time soon. In the meantime, it is the dollar.

Things are actually getting better for the US compared to what they were. The economy tanked and the world didn't end, and even though things aren't great, they're better than they were. Be optimistic, you'll live longer that way. I doubt any hosts will lower their prices, at least I won't. I get paid in dollars, most of my viewers are from the US, as am I. Yes, the euro is a little weaker now, but it's still stronger than the dollar and the pound is even stronger. Still a good deal when you consider that a lot of cam sites charge European viewers in euros.

Yeah, the global economy is in shambles, and all it means to me is that I need to pay a scosh more to get my wank on with my favorite camgirl. Oh, woe is me.

But seriously, don't you just get the feeling that the world in general is spiraling toward a major shit storm and that absolutely no one can do a lick to prevent it? And is it just me, or is there a part of you too that welcomes it just to see where the hell it will take us?

And to be very serious, I sometimes think that I rather adopt a child than bring a new life into this screwed up world if I was ever to become a parent.... and I say that as someone that is very financially secure and barring a complete collapse of the world economy, will be okay. I am sure people thought the world was going to end during the time of the plague and stuff too. Of course, the difference now is that we now have the ability to blow up the earth a few hundred times.

I feel like your point is that you would like all the hosts to be $1 per min to fit your desire. There are plenty of hosts on here with varied prices so you get what you want to pay for....just like real life! If you can't afford a Mercedes then drive your Toyota because you're not going to harass Mercedes into lowering their price for you :)

First, I don't want a Mercedes. They drive nicely but have poor reliability ratings and are expensive to maintain. Second, I used to want a Toyota (may I remind you that Lexus is made by Toyota?), but Toyota has demonstrated that that they place their reputation and profitablity ahead of consumer safety so I probably would go for another type of car. Third, what is wrong with pointing out that hosts raised their prices and posted that they needed to do so because of a falling dollar, but now that the dollar is stronger, they are not now lowering their prices? (You wouldn't be such a hypocritical host, would you?) Fourth, I see hosts ranging from $0.50/min to $5,00/min and was simply pointing out to those that don't like higher prices that they can visit many excellent lower priced hosts. Finally, I also was asking about what people felt about the world's situation which you chose not to address.

Some advice....take a deep breath, relax, take a zanax and put down the gun :) Our world is not coming to an end because of economic disasters. We will recover just as we have in the past. We should be very aware and concerned about our environmental disasters that are occurring because of man (and women if you must) and everyone can make a difference to try to reverse the damage.
If you truly are heartfelt about your concern of the end do to economics then I think you should broaden your horizons and take a look at much more threatening issues happening in this world. I am afraid that you couldn't handle the stress though.
A simple solution to the hosts that you resent raising their prices would be to visit less expensive hosts and be content with what you get.....not try to create a panic here to force all hosts to lower prices...this is a job to many. Try that strategy at the grocery store and let me know how it works for you.

Hosts can charge whatever they want. That is fine by me. The only time it bothers me when they raise prices is when they do it solely for purposes of winning a contest. Unless a member asks for such an increase, I find such an act very greedy on the part of the host.

But in terms of prices, which was but one issue in my original post, I was simply pointing out that some hosts here, in this very forum, used the value of the dollar as an excuse for raising prices. Don't you feel that it would only be appropriate for these very same hosts to now announce a reduction in prices given that the dollar is much higher? If everyone made their price $5,00 open and $6,00 121 all the time, I would have no problem with that. I would probably go to another site, lol, but I wouldn't think anyone did anything wrong. But don't give me the excuse of a falling dollar as the reason you raised your price and then not lower your price when the dollar increases to the euro and the pound. That is hypocrisy, and all I did was point that out, and at the same time note that there were lower priced hosts that are worth seeing. (By the way, I would guess that the average price I pay here is about $1,50 to $2,00, which is probably at the higher end of things.)

If you check crefully you will find that recently some hosts have dropped their prices by $0.10 or so. I don't know if that is due to market forces or the falling dollar. The thing is that it has passed unnoticed. Members moan here about price increase which prompts hosts to post justifying themselves but for various reasons lower prices do not attract the same attention.

the hosts that I am friends with have told me that the reason they have dropped prices has been due to "market forces", i.e., less traffic. I have never heard a host say she was lowering prices because of a rising dollar, and obviously, if she felt her traffic was good enough, there would be no reason for her to do so other than intellectual honesty.

Sad because the entire point that he wanted to make after his nonsense and drama was that he wanted some hosts (that he can't currently afford) to lower their rates.....I guess he expected everyone to boycott these hosts so that he can afford to go see them after they lower their rates for him.

I think we may see some hyper inflation in the near future. In a sense it would help resolve some of the issues in the US economy. If inflation took off and wages kept pace with inflation much of the consumer debt held by consumers would decline. You would be paying the debt with inflated dollars and you would be able to pay it off sooner or it would become less significant because you are making more money. Home prices would rise with inflation as well and home values would get above water. The home prices would be worth more than the mortgage. At CC inflation would mean higher prices as well....but in theory if member's income increased and their existing credit card debt diminished....let the good times roll.

It's true, contests stir up a lot of emotion, both positive and negative, and that gets reflected here. I say something positive, and then get criticized for not being negative lol.

Some members come here hoping to feel better about themselves. When they don't, they blame the host. On the other hand, some hosts seem to feel entitled to take all they can get.

The rest of us, the vast majority, are decent people who occasionally get drunk, stoned, horny, angry, depressed, howl at the moon. Maybe on this forum. That's just life.

And you know what? That's okay. Gadflies like "member" keep us grounded to a certain extent. I certainly don't agree with much, if not most, of what he says, but he articulates his thoughts well and gives his reasons.

And others react perhaps more emotionally, with no less conviction, and deserve no less consideration.

So in the end, maybe let's just agree to respect each other, and we'll be okay.

Fair enough. And just for the record, in terms of when I have been "member", I have never made a false allegation against a host. The truth is damning enough so I would have no reason to make things up. Nobody here has broken my heart or anything. They've just done things I consider inappropriate.

Just to give some examples of what I have experienced...

1. a host disconnecting me from video because I didn't vote for her fast enough during the bikini contest (her response, as we all saw, was basically "well, i never invited you into the room in the first place"... that should tell everyone here that I was not lying and what her true attitude about members really is.) This was reported to CC and dealt with as she well knows.

2. hosts acting like they are my best friend solely with the expectation that I will spend a lot of money on them during a contest. Even if I spend over $100 on them, which even though I can afford it, still is a lot to most people, that still wasn't enough. The one host mainly discussed here lately is the one I am referring to.

3. Once again, the one host mainly discussed here, has revealed personal information to me about a host (including that host's real name). She is clearly jealous of this host based upon what I have heard and has made up lies about her to steal members. I of course don't know all of "the truth" but to reveal personal information about another host is clearly out of bounds.

4. Again, the host most discussed her recently, has tried to lure me to another site for a contest they were having. CC knows about this as well, as I gave them proof, but I guess they have given her another chance.

5. The host mainly discussed here was knowlingly using two accounts at the same time with video in both accounts at the same time in not just a clear violation of CC's rules but also clearly showing her greed and disrespect for other hosts.

6. Hosts on many occasions not respecting the rules in categories that require nudity if requested in both open and 121 and stalling to milk the clock and my wallet more.

It is situations like these that I post about in the forums or report to CC. Nothing more. Nothing less. Fortunately, most hosts are not like that, and that is why I continue to come here. But there are a few hosts I wish would go elsewhere.

By the way, in terms of example #5, that was during a contest. She had video in both accounts at the same time and did it continuously until CC caught up to her.

You use the phrase "host most discussed here" as if to say that you would never stoop so low as to engage in this sort of mud slinging whilst actually making it obvious who you mean and when in fact you are the main one discussing her.

actually, in terms of the host mainly discussed here, i do not believe that I have posted about her in a very long time other than two recent posts. One was where LTGDboo69 posted below about how sweet she is and i said yes, she was until i was not playing enough during a contest. The second was where the host referred to in point #1 responded to something earlier in that thread.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the "host mainly discussed here" has a lot more detractors than just me. Moreover, I notice you do not attempt to refute anything I have said. You just defend her and apparently approve of her behavior.

I am not condoning the behaviour of the host in question. I do not know how you manage to infer that from my post. It is the self-righteous attitude in your post that makes me want to throw up.

i apologize. i took your attack at me as a method of defending her. And the only reason i didn't name names is that CC sometimes won't post critiques if you get too specific. It wasn't about being self-righteous. again, i am sorry that i misunderstood your response.

and actually, some good comes of all of this... whether people agree with a criticism of a host or not, it forces that host to be a better host because the moment she steps out of line in the future, it just made any criticism seem more believeable. Hosts will say "I don't care. I won't change anything." But between a public criticism and a note from CC, they will change even if they don't want to admit it. CC is a great opportunity for hosts, and they don't want to ruin it.

And I don't think anyone here is the devil or anything even if i don't think they are people i would ever want to be friends with. But it will make CC a better site by being able to point things out that members don't like especially when certain behaviours violate CC's rules and policies, and in terms of any criticisms I have made, almost every case is one where the host violated CC's rules and policies.

Very true. Life's too short for running around bad mouthing people. I do exactly as you suggest when a host does not satisfy me. move on and find one that does :)

If members could read the host forum just like hosts can read the viewer forum so that members knew what hosts were saying about members just like hosts know what members say about hosts, AND if everyone was required to use their id to post in all forums, then I would have no problem with CC making it so our true identities accompanied our posts. But until everything is out in the open, I would not be in favor of such a rule.

In terms of any allegations I have made about any host, CC usually knows about them, and even if my posts do not accompany my name, the host knows as well (unless of course she is doing the same thing to a lot of guys lol).

This happens every time we do this puzzle contest. Someone accuses a host of being selfish for rejecting a combine request.

It happened to me a few years back. I sent a join request to a host. She explained that a friend had spent a lot of money playing with her and she was waiting to join with him. I understood and had no reason to doubt her.

ChanelDoll is one of the sweetest people that I know. And I agree. She is cute.

I've posted about Lena before, and as I've said, I recognize she's a competitive person. But she is also helpful and kind to other hosts. She has also been very nice to me in difficult times, personally. So yes, I will speak up for her.
