I can't speak for others, but what attracts me is sincerity - or really great acting.

I've been there many times...and all have never ended well. We get along and seem to enjoy each others company and chats. But when I have joined their room at times they would tell me there's someone already here and ask me to come back later. i dont think they are in 'doomed' countries. but take russia and romania for instance. average pay is about $500 us a month (please correct me if i am wrong). taking that number into consideration, think of the rates that are charged here, and think of how attractive this job must be to them. yes, i understand that half goes to cc, and then half of that still might go to a studio.

but consider a host who is charging $2 a minute. so for an hour $120. if she is at home she gets $60, at a studio $30. so if she is at home, after 10 hours of video she has made $600, more than the average wage for a month. if at a studio, 20 hours of video.

I'm a man who is now in his thirties, but I met a "pretty 20 something" girl on a site like this when I was my mid-twenties. The thing is, it's easy to meet SOMEONE in life but not easy to meet someone special. Jazz was in its heyday in the 20's, 30's and 40's. The Beach Boys had California sound, there is no such thing as "Surf rock". Wiki is not that accurate, I was alive then and in the US not somewhere else. I suppose next you are going to tell try and tell me about Vietnam. But I personally remember others recording that song, among whom, Peter Paul and Mary, so went to YouTube to see what was available to watch..I was surprised to see Marlene Dietrich as one of the artists to perform it, so then I went to Wiki to see when (1962... one year after Kingston Trio's).

But all were still a part of "Rock-n-Roll" though not in the strictest sense of how we think of R&R. BTW, I didn't get the term from Wiki, not even sure if it's used there... I only checked some dates. I've used the term since my youth, as a good description of the style..

And Jazz? heydey yes, in 20's-40's but still quite popular up into the 50's, 60's and 70's though not among the younger generation. Hell, I was going to Jazz concerts in the 70's, in smoke-filled dives, with my buddies.

And by the way, since we're nitpicking, "Where Have all the Flowers Gone" was folk, but more properly classed as part of the Protest songs of the 60's, protesting, you guessed it, the Viet Nam conflict, (technically not a war -- never declared as such by Congress -- and a major reason for the protests).
