First xmas gift
back in my early life xmas presents where made and giving, not the kind a person gets today, hmm-memories,, anyway later on xmas presents where getting to be bought and I remember my first bought xmas present that was giving to me-I got this box with a set of keys inside it, it was to a 1997 Mercedes-Benz SLK car---like wow and so excited, I couldn't believe it. I was so thrill so much about the keys for 20 minutes I had to finally ask where is the car park at--grandfather said to go look outside in the shed--I ran so fast to the shed and open up the door and said where is it,, he said look in the box--I said what box--he said the small one on the shelf--hmm--you guess it--was a model of the car and without the glue.--What was your first xmas gift that you got as a joke,

Ive been told that any laptop "for gamers" will do. Gotta have a good videocard and enough memory. Google it, there are many to choose!

My advice .. if you want a good laptop throw the years .. you can try out the Asus i7 versions , cause they are quite ok (I was dissapointed by Sony .. )

Unfortunatelly you do need "a huge amount of memory" , that if you reffered to RAM, as I ve noticed I can not run on 2GB RAM anymore if I am also on windows7...Apparently W7 asks for a lot of Ram so anythhing with 4gb or higher is a plus (The programs will run smoother and you will see the difference)
Gaming computers are a good choice too, after all, if im being asked what do I need it for, I always say "for gamming!!!" hehe
You may also want to try gaming forums ? there are lots of useful info regarding which computer doesnt crush or has been more reliable, stuff like that . Good luck !

I bought a Samsung laptop and it seems to be pretty good, it was with the less expensive AMD A6 processor. But what I liked the most is it did not have any of the junk programs installed as most, especially Dell, have installed, it simply had W7 and offered Nortons if you wanted to install it, if not easy to delete the install program.

I bought one Sony Vaio (gamer laptop) but ... they dont have any services in Europe, the maintenance prices are huge and you must treat it like ... is a flower in a glass, son dont buy any Vaio.

Buying a gaming laptop just to work here is overkill and a complete waste of money. Gaming laptops require powerful and expensive GPU's (ie, video cards) that you won't need unless you want to play the latest games or do video editing. I assume that's not the case.
Anything recent with a Intel i5 processor and 4GB of RAM will be more than enough for your purposes. Getting one with a Solid State Drive instead of a mechanical hard drive would be optional but desirable. SSD's are a bit more expensive and with less storage capacity but extremely fast. You can get a pc booting in 10-15 seconds with these type of drives.
