In the US there actually is no XXX rating, X is as high as they go. XXX is advertising, if one is good 3 must be better. You see the same type of thinking in effect when you go past the strip clubs, they aren't as just "Nude" clubs they're "Totally Nude" clubs.

In the US, the recording industry has gone to great lengths to begin going after college students who download mass quantities of music. They've started working with universities for identification of the students and have begun handing out large fines on the order of thousands of dollars, depending on how much was downloaded. The courts are backing these actions as well.

You aren't the only confused person, chathosts and members alike. Since the rules aren't posted for everyone to read, it may be best if you write an email to CC and ask them very specifically what you can and can't do in the categories you wish to appear.

Took a decision...
4 years in C.C. I started 4 years ago when C.C. was fun in every category. Now girls in non-adults don't even want to stand up... They say it's against the rules... Soon the girls in non-adults will not even show their face... it would be against the rules (according to the hosts). Well, my decision is... I will not again visit any non-adult hosts. They are getting ridiculous ideas. Even hosts in Glamour... some don't even want 121 sessions, others would just stand up for 3 seconds. Girls... I've always preferred women with a natural look, whose use of make-up, perfume, etc, is subtle. The key is understated style. Sorry, but women who dye their hair, wear tons off make-up, lots of perfume (usually cheap cologne), garrish jewelry, etc. is offputting to me. A friend of mine calls this "chemical warfare." Warfare or not, it strikes me as ostentatious and lacking in refinement.

i updated mine and pc crashed, then anytime i would login, within minutes things would go wrong. so i just uninstalled it and will never use it again.

ok for u paranoid types...... go to yahoo.com and look for the link yourself. i know of several people who have been attacked when using the old (pre June7-2007) version of yahoo messenger.
i didnt just click.....
my yahoo was preset to check for updates and notify me if there were any. im happy to hear your ym works fine. but mine was mostly full of strippers that only popt in to ask me into show. the hand full of real friends in it are smart enough to send an email to the name.

With most viruses you never know what happens until its too late (rolls eyes) the stupidity of some people these days...

Gabs, Just b/c nothing has happened doesn't mean it will not or cannot. About six months ago some guy hacked into the the computers of a particular studio in Russia. This malicious soul* then sent IM's under the screen names of hosts who were also using Yahoo IM with some guests. It bid the recipient to open a link which, when opened proved to be a particulary destructive virus. Fortunately, I have a good security system from McAfee, which intercepted the virus. I think Godzilla has sound advice. It seems there is more to loose than gain by following it.
I attempted the download and I was not signed onto Yahoo, but I think my problem was that I did not close my IM too, which functions nearly independently of Yahoo e-mail.
* I must say, I don't understand these punks who apparently take a certain perverse glee in attacking people---perfect strangers---all over the world. These victims have done nothing to provoke or warrant these attacks----which are cowardly. Is there a typical profile for these hackers? Smart (in a narrow way), social misfits who can't get a date with a girl on Saturday night, so they decide to take their anger and frustration out on the world by attacking any and all of the faceless people who cross their paths?

You don't understand it because you naively buy into the old stereotype of a malware author as being some kind of misfit, teen ne'er do well. Truth is, there's money to be made in the venture. And like every unscrupulous industry, the reasons are all rooted in profit.
Kinda like the unconscionable fear mongering perpetuated by the Windows anti-virus/anti-spyware vendors for the sake of getting you to pay those subscription fees for the comfort of feeling "safe".
