Certainly a host is allowed set certain of the rules for her room, but if they are out of the ordinary they should be posted on her Profile Page or shown in her textchat.
I recently entered a chat room of one host who said on her Profile her turnoffs were "boring and rude people" and on her Description in Who's Online Now said "SEXY BEAUTIFUL GIRL TODAY HERE FOR U."
Yes, she could have been ignoring me specifically, except at least 5 guys over the course of several hours were also ignored.
I think hosts that refuse to say even one word in text are very boring and rude. They should at least put "I'm here for video only today." That I could respect. Perhaps they should have a box to check on log-in that closes the textchat to ALL and allow only a video option.

ummm.... I guess you have never seen a screen when the host leaves it unanswered for hours. The words of those who speak in public stay there unless she clears the screen. So when you enter you will see all the open words, dummy.

In fact, in my experience the best hosts insist on text first to be sure you are both on the same page as far as expectations.

There is a reason for textchat and if the host does not want to do it they can simply post "Video Only" and it's fine by me and the rules.

Many viewers say Hi in public text chat at the first moment and then continue talking in private chat, because it takes a little time to wait while the text chat is fully downloaded. You say hi then switch to the private mode and nobody else can see what u are talking about. It happens often. So u are maybe not right that she didnt reply to her visitors in the text chat.

Valid point Nadeen, but I'm assuming he is referring to written expressions by the guest that---even if the host was in the private mode---one could reasonably conclude he was getting no response. And if both were in the private mode, there would be nothing to observe, hence report at all.

If she was, then she can be away from PC and didn't read everything she get in her text chat.
Many hosts change their category from live video to playback very often when they go somewhere and run prerecorded video. Usually members don't notice this change and try to chat in text chat!

"A Host," As with Nadeen's point above, you offer a plausible explanation for a host's failure to greet a guest. However, the detective is a seasoned member and it doesn't seem likely that he would repeatedly make such an error of observation. On occasion, yes, but not over and over. It seems much more likely that he is complaining about the same basic failure of manners that hosts complain about, be it a failure to say goodbye or hello to another human being in your presence---even if it's "virtual" reality, which is admittedly more removed from "reality" (whatever THAT is), but which should reflect the same regard for affording each other basic courtesies.

You don't have to wait 5 hours. You can simply observe the time of the entries on the text screen, which may span 5 hours.

If I was cc you would put me in a bit of a dilemma. The hosts are wasting your time but then you take the time to write to cc complaining about something so trivial and also post your complaints here on the forum. So it would appear that you do have lots of time to waste. :D

I stumbled across one of the rarities here. A host that widely varies her price according to her mood. I've seen her at prices from $1.25 to $5.00 per minutes. I keep her in my Favorites List and watch for her "sale" periods.

Eye Contact
It's well known ( wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_conference#Issues ) that eye contact is sorely lacking from videoconferencing. I find the visual impact much greater when a chat host "looks me in the eye". But I find it difficult to request. Perhaps one gets used to performing while watching one's own image, the eye constantly on the monitor instead of the camera.

Thanks Todd, keen observation as usual. Now that I think about it, when I'm on camera, my eyes are first drawn to the graceful , fluid dance of my own penis, then of course I enjoy the girls, and most importantly I search for the silent approval of my grandparents who sit on the couch behind me. In the US there actually is no XXX rating, X is as high as they go. XXX is advertising, if one is good 3 must be better. You see the same type of thinking in effect when you go past the strip clubs, they aren't as just "Nude" clubs they're "Totally Nude" clubs.

In the US, the recording industry has gone to great lengths to begin going after college students who download mass quantities of music. They've started working with universities for identification of the students and have begun handing out large fines on the order of thousands of dollars, depending on how much was downloaded. The courts are backing these actions as well.
So, regardless of how I might personally feel about the subject, I will be careful as to what I do.

First, the music industry itself estimates how many downloads/sharings are occuring. Since no one can really count them or how often or if those songs are further shared it is a wild guess and you can be sure they are guessing on the high side to make their complaints stronger.
Then, they count each download at full retail price price, which no one ever pays.
I'm already bored with the numbers, but when a band can sell 250,000 copies of a disc and windup earning 1/3 minimum wage, something's wrong.
