although i'm sure most members already know exactly what you're talking about, i must say that i for one appreciate your honesty. to all of you hosts, just be honest with us. we members know that this is a job for most of you. if you don't want us to stay in free chat for a long time just tell us. all we ask is not to be so rude about it. granted you'll find an occasional a-hole member, but for the most part we are not bad guys. i used to tell my favorite hosts (who are all gone) that it was their looks that brought me to them, but it was the conversations that made me come back. since my favorites have gone i have yet to find a host who is willing to have a nice conversation (with perks of course...hehe).
anyway, miss "hostie" you are very well spoken. i wish i knew who you are because you seem like someone i would like to talk to in 1 to 1 (and sometimes) in free chat :) .

From a members perspective, its clear that the chat host is here not just for their entertainment. What I have found here at CC which I did expect was the intelligence and honesty of many of the hosts. It seems in many of the Eastern European countries, Romania, Russia, Slovakia and others, that job opportunities that exist for bright intelligent woman in other countries such as the US are not that available where they live. I have found, that all of them are quite human, and are here to make a life for themselves. For many of these women the adult industry is the best way they have to make a living. Having realized that, it has changed my perspective a lot when I talk to chat hosts. I will take the time if its possible to get to know them in text before I go in a video session. I have also come to the conclusion that if most of them had a choice, this is not what they would be doing at all. Once you get that, its impossible not to see a semblance of fragility and cyncism, until u peel back the layers of that chat hosts personalty. This is not a dating site, it is a for pay site to have pleasure with an attractive woman.

About a year ago I used to feel so secure about myself when I would visit my favorites (27). They all liked me and would chat with me in free text for 15 to 30 mins. Of course, I used to come to their vid at least once or twice a week for 1 hour min. I was here in vid in cc on my mornings and nights. Unfortunately, my business failed to make it through the crisis and I ended up without a job and almost bankrupt. Well, I can't come to video, but I thought to keep in touch with my host friends..... Friends? They started ignoring me after I told them I didnt have any money for vid. They never came back to text chat after typing a BRB. Same thing next day and next day I tried to chat with them. Only a: hi, how are you? then BRB. Out of the more than 27 hosts I always visited only 3 truly remain my friends. I have deleted the others. Its sad, but true.

We remained great friends even when she left here, but we did eventually go our separate ways.

Amen bro...once the money well dries up most of your friends here drop you like a bad habit. But what really got me was the ones who suddenly left CC without a word. Not a hint they were leaving forever. No goodbye. It's been fun. Thanks for all the money. Here's my email address (the real one). That was kinda cold. But it puts your true relationship to hosts in perspective. It is a business relationship and when the business ends there is nothing left. Outside of CC it has no context and doesn't exist.

Great! Three real friends! That is surprising, and you should be thankful. The other 27 probably have their own ongoing financial crisis. If you spend no money, they have to drop you. They have to make a living. I am a civil engineer. When clients cant pay me, even good friends, I do not do work for them. I do a small amount of pro bono work, but I cant afford to do a lot of it. I need to pay the rent. Same for the hosts at CC.

CC is just like the real world I suppose. I knew somebody that was a purchaser for a very large company with many so-called friends among his suppliers. His company failed and most of those "friends" dropped him like a hot potato. Some could barely muster a hello if they passed him on the street.

I gotta agree with Tiggs here, and with others... if you have three real friends from CC (friends regardless of what you spend on them), you've done very well.
I have been a staunch defender of "friendship" here on CC in the past, but contests on CC have a funny way of shedding new light on what that friendship really means. And, face it, 27 "friends" on CC? How do you find the time to cultivate each of those "friendships"? In the end, something has to sustain it beyond the fact that you call each other "friends" and get together for fun once in a while.

lighten up. we all have our definition of friendships. even in the real world friendships can develop in many different ways. even one night stands can develop into friendships. bottom line is hosts and members use each other. it's fantasy, it's fun, it's impersonal. if something more develops then hats off to those people who can make it work.

Is it true that a host can if they wish give a free one on one video chat with a viewer and if so how do they do it. Also can every host selected to have there conversation with each viewer prvt in free chat?

Regarding your first point a host can gve a free private session to a particular viewer by setting up a password session. She has to do this before opening her session. She then tells the lucky guy the password and only he can enter the session.

But for most favorite is defined as income producing. A regular who visits often and logs a decent amount of video time with the host. Of course if they are also intelligent, pleasant and funny that is a big plus for the host but it's secondary.

Then you have been exceptionally fortunate. I have known many hosts I really respected and cared for and I think the opposite was true in some cases but when all was said and done it always came down to money. And for many members who are host favorites in the absence of them doing videos they are merely entertainment or a pleasant distraction while they wait for paying videos.

All so true- i am 48 and met my first love when i was 16 and i have never forgotton her. I have been lucky enough to have known 2 other women that i have loved and each has helped me grow as a person in different ways. Love is such a wonderful things that you never forget about that person regardless of how a realatship may end.

If there were any charges for failed connections due to technical problems CC is generally very good about refunding the amount charged if any. Of course the host doesn't get this money but if the connection failed she didn't deserve it.

I don't worry about such things. I make my favorite list based on the hosts who (1) I am attracted to, (2) are friendly and conversational. Usually, I am drawn by a screenname, then I will check out her pics. The only thing that disappoints me is when a favorite host moves on... not so much that they moved on to other things, but if I am not able to stay in touch with the host beyond this platform

I also don't worry about such things. I make my favourite list based on the hosts who (1) I am attracted to, (2) who get naked very quickly.

When I was a member I used my fav list to see if the lovely ladies I spent time with were online. The only requirement to get on my fav list was the host had to be nice and friendly.

My fav list is hosts I really like and enjoy spending time with chatting and in videos with as well as girls I would like to get to know in the future because I like their appearance. If their price is too high, or their english is poor, or if they have a bad personality or are all about money...they get deleted.

... how do I do that for an instant action host named "fukerbitch" that lists her name as "bitch"? :p Actually, I wasn't going to see her.... I just thought it was an interesting choice of name and screen name.
