Glamour/Little Shy vs Instant action
Calm down, this is not an attack post. First thanks to all the hosts in all categories just for being you.
From a visual standpoint, although there are smoking hot girls in both categories, in my opinion Glamour overall is well ahead of IA. Also Glamour is much more mysterious. Much more like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. Conversely in IA, you always know what you are going to get. You also spend far less, since you do not spend your time talking so much as you do in Glamour. And of course you can a bit of both is you like as well. For example using Glamour/shy as the salad/appetizer and IA as the main course. But there is good selection and being able to chat in pvt while in free chat is really nice.
And again this is only my opinion. And even that changes over time.

I logged into comm.chat at 6 am GMT to find only one other member there who was talking to just one host. Two years ago, it would have had a number of members and hosts chatting at that time. I left after a few seconds. I've also checked at other times to see the same old die-hards chatting to the same hosts. Seems like comm.chat has lost its attraction for most. I wonder why? Any suggestions?

whenever i entered commchat (maybe 5 or 6 times i did) i was immediately "attacked" with private msgs from hosts sitting there. OK, they want to try to get me to vid, thats Ok, but most of them are asian girls and their video is always poor and very slow. i tried some and told them about it and left video soon, but on my next visit in com theysame hosts asked again and again, like: "now i have fast connection, i very horny, come to vid, blabla"

I can speak for my own experience.... I recently logged on and was immediatly contacted by a host in a private message..... she asked me to look at her pics on her profile... I looked and did not like what I saw....she asked me if I looked at her pics and if I wanted to talk... I told her I did look at her pics but did not want to talk.....she asked why... I told her I was not interested...she asked why again.. I told her I was not interested in her......she asked again why not.... so I told her I did not find her attractive..... she then proceeded to call me a loser and an ugly man.... that I could not get any women because I was ugly....I told her if she did not want to know why I was not interested ...she should not have asked.....she again called me a loser and an ugly man.... Maybe this kind of communication from hosts is why nobody comes to Comm. Chat anymore?.... Im not saying all hosts are like this....but this particular host was extremely RUDE.

it should be renamed "Blocking Area" instead of Com Chat...
I stopped chatting there and changed username because it seems that if Viewer say there his honest opinion about something, half of the hosts there attack this viewer and block him from seeing her profile.
I dont mind being blocked for real reason, but if i get blocked from a host who does not really even know me, just because my opinion differs her opinion, or she misunderstand my opinion in lack of english, its not very nice behaviour. If i want to chat in com chat, i want real chat, not just lick hosts asses by telling again and again how gorgeous and smart they all are.
Blocking should be allowed only after having video, not for something that happens in com chat.

This tpe of slanging match combined with spamming form a large number of hosts is the reason why comm chat is boring. Then u can factor in ass hole members with single figure Iq's & no credit card.
Then when I think about it the hosts can only be there for marketing reasons... I mean would any one consider talking to any of the guys who hang out in comm chat coz they are interesting & smart (exept inyf) ?

In my business, I don't expect people who pay for my service to 'entertain' me. On the contrary, I put a lot of effort into winning new clients by 'entertaining' (attracting) them. Strange attitude expressed in CC sometimes that paying customers are supposed to 'win over' the supplier. Honey, don't go into business in real, better you be a civil servant. ;-)

It's called marketing, you don't just sit there waiting for customers to come to you, you go out looking for them. Some you lose, the ones you get pay the bills. ;-)

Not agree, we don't sell cars or whatever here...so we can't use usual marketing strategy. I really think it's useless chat hrs with a members with wish they might come to your video once. I know some guys to come here to get entertainmen by this because they have so boring lifes, but my life is not the same, I have plenty guys around me in real who want to date me, but I choose to sit before computer most evenings because need money only, not because i feel lonely or boring.

It's up to you only chat with members for free a long time or not. Maybe you have nothing to do anymore and find it funny. But from my experience that guys I chatted long time before video never come to my pvt, they just used me to kill the boredom. And opposite all my regulars never make me chat for free with them, always stright to the video. Even I am ready to know about them more, as I get involved in their personalities after we had some fun together.

I disagree but respect host's opinions and I prefer your response host2. I don't get business from being the cheapest but from engaging with my prospective clients. You obviously understand that. I'm too jaded to be attracted just by surface beauty, I pay $$$s for something more than that. Comm.chat, at it's best, is a good way to find the women I'm most likely to vid. They don't need good English, just a willingness to commit themselves in open chat. Respect!

Amen brother. I have my own business too and work hard to get and retain customers. Some of the apologists for hosts must be government workers where the only requirement is to be stupid and lazy. And no doubt log in during working hours using computer paid by us the taxpayers.

Comm chat has changed over the years. For a while it was a pretty funny and interesting place to kill an hour or two. That atmosphere has changed quite a bit. Every time I enter I am solicited by enterprising hosts asking me to look at their pics or come to video. I spend a lot of time saying no thanks and blocking them. Of course they are aware of that tactic and they often log off and log back on which allows them to ask you for a video again. That being said...I have met several hosts who I did videos with. I liked their chat personality and I checked out their pics....in some cases we even negotiated a lower price for a video..a plus for me. I don't like it when hosts speak in foreign languages. There should be a host only forum for that. All in all it a good concept. Hosts who are sitting around waiting for member coming to them are trying to drum up business...good for them. As for the old days and stimulating chat...I have seen glimpses of it from time to time....so hope springs eternal

Okay so the consensus is that Comm Chat is not working as we would like it... So what do we want in there? How can CC make it better for us? I never really used it but would be interested in what used to be good about it and what would make it better now?

personally, I despise ComChat, although I do go there. Between the hosts who bombard members with spam immediately upon their entrance (sometimes even before I can see my name displayed, I have spam messages waiting for me) -- and those members and hosts who think rudeness is funny, and who could not care less about people's feelings -- I find it to be a very disgusting place.
I do go into Comchat, but usually stay only a few minutes.Once I've seen who is online, checked out a few profiles, and said HI to a certain few people, I generally have no more use for it, and depart. And I can honestly say that usually, the conversations I observe do not disappoint me in my expectation that they will be of the lowest level of intelligence or courtesy

You know, War, I would add. We all have our up and down days, days of moods, and so forth. And I know I don't always say things nicely. But by and large, the folks I'm speaking of in ComChat make rudeness and nastiness, a hobby. And I think you probably know who it is I'm speaking of.

i concur and to respond to warchant.. maybe 80% of the "banter" is between members/members/hosts that know each other but there are also plenty of idiots that are rude to other members that they do not know, ie. they see a odd member nickname and take the piss and then all their junior school buddies join in because it's such good childish humour, or because a outsider from their group has the cheek to write something in open chat.
I've witnessed it to others and experienced it myself and altho' i tell them to go to hell it still leaves a bitter feeling and is totally unnecessary.

Went into comm.chat. and in 10 minutes there had 10 hosts pm me. I don't type fast enough to hold conversations with all of them. Better if they talk in open chat then other members could help me out. :P

I should never have posted that. I was attacked by someone called boombaby1 immediately I went to community chat. Is this usual or is it just me? Relax, whoever you are, my post was intended to be humorous. I do reply to pms but just not fast enough to satisfy so many.

I don't have any interest in the host, and haven't even been tempted or curious to look at the profile following this posting, but what really irritates me is replies like this (and others do it too) saying somebody is still here with a new name, but just not giving that name. Many of the hosts profiles are clearly focused on long videos. They indicate that men who rush, or are "rude" and insist on a quick show are not liked....men who take their time in video, chat a bit, get the host in the mood...now those guys are princes...and idiots. I can agree that a quick strip is a bit too mechanical for me...I like a little teasing and seduction but we are on the clock and I am on a budget.

I have to agree. If you want civility and politeness become a librarian. I think you partially give up some of your rights and expectations of behavior when you become a host. You made a value judgement. Tough job but then it must be worth it or you wouldn't do it.

Many of us hosts understand ur on a clock and a budget....that is why it is important to read profiles and talk to the host before video...to find out if she will do what u want....
to me there is nothing wrong with a quick video....it does not always have to be a long video....it is more of what u do in that time rather than how long it is....

Cam chat is the same as live dates. Here you pay for minutes to spend with her, there for drinks, restaurant, cinema and so on.

but if a member is rude and treats her like crap then she should not have to tolerate that either....if a host says before hand what she will and wont do...then that is so the member can decide if he wants to see her or not....

"What have you done?" Jack exclaimed. "I needed that duck to sell and get money so we could have food to eat."
With tears in his eyes, the truck driver apologized profusely to Jack. "Oh Jack, I am so so sorry," he said. "Then he reached down into his pocket, pulled out his wallet, took out 2 one dollar bills, and handed them to Jack. "Here," he said, "It's the least I could do since I killed your duck."
That night when Jack returned home, his mother waited eagerly for him. "Jack," she called, "Please tell me that you were able to sell the duck. How much did you get for her?"
"Well, mother," Jack said, "I got a fuck for a duck, a duck for a fuck and two bucks for a fucked up duck!"

Glenn Beck is entertaining, but he plays loose with the facts. Soros is a currenrcy speculator, so for every bet he placed someone else was betting the other side. He just happened to be right most of the time. Beck does not like him because he is liberal. there are many conservative curency speculators that agreed with Soros that Beck fails to mention.

I suspect the US will have to endure a period of high inflation if it hopes to get out of this mess. Inflation creates problems and suffering but...it will increase home prices, salaries will increase, existing debt at fixed interest will become less and less painful to pay....simplistic but I fear that is in our future. I also lived in New Haven when Beck was a local DJ...he was a big substance abuser and I never really like his show....cried a lot on the air...wierd.

Well like I said things that Glenn says make a lot of SENSE to me. And one of the idea that I grasped is that it is not good for the people when they are dependent on the government and when the government has too much power. And that is because If government goes down, everybody goes down. So with giving away money to people, and other countries, having billions of debt, and having China producing everything I fear inflation is going to happen and a lot of people will not have an ability to support themselves because they are in and depend on the system. In Russia, financial collapse was a huge shock to the country and people were starving it Sucked ass and nobody couldn\'t do anything due to dependence on the government.. I brought up Soros because by the research of Glenn\'s team Soros pretty much had his foot in every possible open door especially with media. I was doing a little studying on governments in history and there is one shocking thing I realized. When a society has a government where the control shifts into the hands of a large centralized government instead of being spread out and administered at the local level those governments soon fall into ruin. Starts all the way back to the early Egyptians, Babylonian Empire, Persian Empire, Roman Empire, Greek Empire, Late Mongolian Empire and on to even British and other European governments, and if things keep going the way they are the US. All of these started out as a collection of smaller local governments that only used the central government as a means to help organize their trade and defense. As they grew they began to hand over more and more control to the central government and give up control of their local affairs. Once the central government reaches a certain point it tries to completely take over control and usually in the end that does not sit well with the populace and eventually those Empires collapse.
When the Founding Fathers originally set up the US government they wanted to stay away from a central rule and in the constitution delegated powers to the central government and local governments, with defense being the most important role for the central government, and also being there to negotiate problems between the states when needed. Also originally the power was seated in local governments, now we see the local governments being over ridden by the federal government and they want to tell everyone what is best for them. In this recent election I believe the populace of the US began to show they are not happy with losing so much control at the local level, though it really wasn't a big show as some think. I believe though if the central government grows too much larger and more controlling we will see some very serious actions by the people because independence has been ingrained in our psyche and that is not something easy to give up. I hope to never have to see another American Revolution or Civil War, but we have proven twice in the past that the average person does not easily surrender their freedom to an overpowering government. Lets all hope for a peaceful and civil outcome and a shift back to where we began before it is too late.

Did you ever stop to think that the host was giving the member what he wanted? If he wasn't interested in a sexual show, then what difference does it make if she's in Instant Action or any other category? IA doesn't require you to give sex show if that is not what the viewer wants. Imagine going into a strip club? Totally different, doesn't even compare. The strippers are paid by the establishment to strip. They will strip if there is one customer or 50, and it won't matter what the customers want. They come to the strip club because of what is being offered. Here the host is paid by the member. It does matter what the member wants. And the chances are he's going to be alone, especially if he's in 121. So what the other members think or want during that time is irrelevant.

One word --sensitivity. It could be our "not so experienced" viewer would've gotten a show had he asked, but it was apparent to him his host wasn't in the mood for it. And then he could've left, but chose not to. He simply read the situation and decided to stay and chat.

You're 100% correct Moni. But the reality is that being anonymous is the big appeal of the internet in general. Be that right or wrong, it is what it is. And to see one poster after another post only sweet things, it may be more pleasant but also very boring. And you have more balls than most of the men on here Moni!

well let's not forget we are not 100% anonymous. Our IP Address, is logged by many sites we visit, this one included. And if this forum is like other forums in which I have participated, the IP is known and can be linked to a specific user, even when posting anonymously. So if such is true here also, we could still be held liable for libel (cool play on words, eh? LOL) if we post something that is slanderous about another member or host, and at the very least, banned by CC from being able to post. I don't know if they would do it, but the possibility should at least be in the back of our minds.

Having integrity would mean that one would make the same kind of comments, whether anonymous or not. Those who use Anonymity to post slurs and degrading comments, only reveal what we are really like as persons, persons without true integrity of character. The Monday Grand Prize will be a blind draw from all the point winners from the first 4 days of the competition. It will be weighted as per point placement. I.e. the 1st place of each day will receive 50 points and the 50th place will receive 1 point for the final draw. Are you sure that is why you were disconnected?? There has been many times within the last couple of weeks that connection has been lost here. I am a glam host and certainly wouldn't react that way but also have often wondered if someone just left in the middle of video to find out later they were bumped by the system. I've never seen anyone say you need professional lighting and equipment, but obviously the better the equipment, the better the quality, and the better the quality the more appealing videochat will be.
I think that what is important is that the host strives for the best she can within her budget. If the video quality is dark, and the host is barely discernible, or the video quality is grainy and fuzzy, these will naturally deter someone from staying or perhaps from returning. And they are easily corrected, with brighter lighting. Or if the lighting is so bright that everything is washed out, try less lighting, or perhaps more indirect lighting. Experiment with different kinds of bulbs, flourescent or incandescent. Try different lumens or wattages. Experiment with placement of lights, camera settings, and work for the best possible quality.

Most of the girls work in apartments or offices that are subdivided by hanging sheets in studios. The lighting is barely adequate and the space provided to do a show is limited. Cam quality is also not the best and part of that is the available bandwith from the local ISP. That being said...a hot girl can overcome many technical issues.

I am finding them a little sensitive now that it is contest time. It is the site's 10th bday, and they are trying to put their best foot forward. There has been a bit more competitive pressure from other sites recently so CC is trying to keep everything positive for this contest more so than in the past.
I understand what they are doing and why, but I think they are taking things a little too far. Try posting your post in a few days and see if it gets posted then. You might have better luck.

About 20% of what I attempted to post on CC never appeared. For those of you who remember my posts I am sure you think that was 80% short. I think CC applies some rules. Posts that are slandarous againt once host without a business connection...in other words...personal attacks...are never seen. Also posts that are clearly against the business interests of the enterprise...these guys aren't dopes....finally creepy posts, incomprehensible posts, posts with private information, etc. are cleaned up as a matter of course. Was I pissed when some of my pearls of wit were never posted...sure. But its a business....if you want free speech picket the white house...see how that works out for you.

I am indeed the artist formerly known as WTF...though I am not active with CC very often...economics and age. I generally only critiqued hosts I did a video with...though...some I did not and relied on their photo and free text chat to draw an opinion. I doubt a video would have changed my mind. But that as they say is water under the bridge.....

Well from my observation, CC has greatly relaxed their censorship standards. Posts such as yours would never have made it to the forum a year ago. I see them allowing a great many more posts, some quite negative, than what they used to allow. At one point I even suggested they go back to censorship because now it seems there are many hyper-critical, degrading and belittling posts destructive of others' feelings, and built on trumped-up, bigoted assumptions.
The "right" of Freedom of speech ends at someone else's "nose". If a post is hurtful, slanderous, untrue, degrading, you really have no right to say it.

They are under no obligation to have a forum, or to allow members and hosts to express themselves. Many sites don't have any such opportunities. And if we don't like their definition, or their interpretation of how it should be enforced, then we don't have to post. Of course, we can always complain if we dont' like it, but that is best done in email to the company not in a public forum where they understandably want the light on their site to shine in the best possible way.

the whole problem is that they say there is "freedom of speech" which obviously isn't true. Well, it is true in that you can say what u want, but it just might not get posted, lol. But if they just got rid of that part, people wouldn't object so much for the reasons u state. And anyway, "freedom of speech" is a concept about government restricting speeech, not private businesses, so it shouldn't even be a term that CC uses.

I've long complained about the censorship here, but it pales in comparison to that one with the red backround. That place is analogous to being in North Korea. And you have to buy credits every month to even be able to post. And of course most sites don't even have discussion forums.

Yes there are a few of my posts that don't get through. Some I can understand and some have me scratching my head. Especially when, a very similar post appears a short while later.
I also agree with Nick in regards to some of the posts that are attacking hosts.
However, a few years ago, the posts were much less censored and the forums could degenerate into slanging matches, Although when they were against me I did actually find them amusing.
So, although I would prefer a little less censorship, I prefer it now to how it was.
