Are there members that actually come here and pay $2--$3--$4/min to just chat? What I mean is.....................you really pay this much to JUST TALK?? .......................................I am just amazed at the number of non-adult hosts that say they DO NOT do anything BUT chat...and they charge $3-4/minute. Not surprising. Guys like this are not rare. Sadly, their whole sense of self is predicated on money, just as some women ARE their (often just purchased) tits. For them Being=Money (or Tits). Strip them of these things and they, in effect, disappear.
I remember being in an open chatroom (not CC) of a woman. There were perhaps 5 guys in the room. We all offered our two cents. I managed to engage the woman's interest, but it did not sit well with some ill-bred fellow in our midst. Suddenly, out of nowhere, he verbally attacks me in a sadly laughable way: "I've got more money in my left pocket than you are worth!" he said. I share your amazement, Dav, but Unique Angel is right. If a host has maintained this high price for some time it must mean there are those who will pay it. So, it's a simple law of economics: seeing what the market will bear. For some it's no doubt a calculated risk to forego the business of the many in the lower price range in the belief that they will find a few high-rollers (for whom money is the only measure of worth) who are willing to pay top dollar.

ok room,, my spring break is up,, and this has been one of those weeks it seems i lost my head and was thinking to much,,hmmm,, to much time was on my hand,, I should had been working on my bike more.. Well anyway to get back to normal and my mind I think is cleared up, wanted to share this with you. I had someone ask me last night at the bar,,,do you think you want to trim your body up, eat well, quit drinking and maintain a relatively lean physique. Be able to prove that I have the mental and physical ability to get it done...they were preferring me to take bodybuilding classes.

Police have found a man's body after a tip-off from an internet user that he appeared to self-harm while using a messaging service.
The body of 42-year-old Kevin Neil Whitrick was discovered at a property in Orleton Lane, Wellington, Telford, at about 11.15pm after police forced their way in.
West Mercia Police said he was found dead after another internet user dialled 999 as Mr Whitrick had appeared to self-harm while using a messaging service late on Wednesday.
A spokesman said: "Police were alerted to the incident by colleagues from West Midlands Police but despite attempts to resuscitate Mr Whitrick, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
"An investigation into all the circumstances surrounding his death has been launched and police can now confirm that Mr Whitrick was using a webcam in an internet chat room at the time of his death."
No one else is being sought in connection with the death, which is being officially treated as unexplained.
Detective Chief Inspector Jon Groves, who is leading the investigation, added: "Our enquiries to date have revealed that Mr Whitrick was using a chat room with a number of other people at the time of his death.
"We are liaising with the internet service provider to contact other users who were online at the time of this incident and who may have information that could assist our enquiries.
"We are also working to ensure that witness support facilities are available to those who may have been affected by what they saw."

Just "one" hypotetical question
What do you think if someone join cc to make contact with person (chathost) which he/she really likes from before, but cant afford video for that chathost (just promise maybe one day). He or she is really crazy about that host and cc is only way to make contact. Do you think that it would be unfair from that person to came just for chat, without video, knowing that host is trying to earn or living from cc money? And do you think it would be unfair from chasthost side to ignore that person, even person is nice, non provocative..., just some chat when host is not in pvt? Maybe those questions are stupid but im really interesting about your opinion:-)

Truthfully I think it depends on the relationship that the two people have together.
I don't think it is unfair to chat for free to a host when she is not busy with other members as long as that is also what the host wants.
From your post the member and host obviously have some sort of history but the fact that cc is the only place they can make contact suggets the feelings of adoration only flow one way. If the host is ignoring the member it makes me suspect that the host has probably tried to let the member down gently but he is not taking the hint and this is the only option left open to her.

Just rememner a host is here to make money and a customer spending money will get better treatment over a member that is trying to free chat. These host (many working multiple sites) must get hundreds of guys trying to chat for free and asking for thier yahoo address. If you want to be a "nice guy" and chat for free try the other chat rooms and you won't get labeled a freeloader or cheap charlie.

Im thinking the same way like some answers implies because that "someone" is ME :-) (nothin hypotetical:-)). I truly respect all host here or from some other webcam sites, after all this is just a bussines with more or less luck for a viewer (who spent some) at the end:-). I should be lucky cause i find that host here after all and manage to contact her at least. 1 - One host said "If he cant afford video, how will he afford supporting me?" I was making a wild attempt to show that what might be considered the attention of a regular viewer would actually empty his bank account and leave him in debt and unable to support her anyway.

Everything you say i completly undersand, at first i want to say this all is not about beign CHEAP!!!!!!!! I have 24 years about to finish studying and searching for a job. Unfortunately im coming from a country when i was working over summer 4 months to earn somethin i get paid less than 2.5$ for hour, workin 9 hours a day, hard job!!! All "that" money i was prepare to spent here to get some attention for that chathost, but eventually in bank they give me a card which cannot be billed this way. I use one old just for registering here and cant put money on that so i only spent that welcome bonus when i registered. I would be most happiest person on this world if i could find a way to offer video from time to time, belive me. IM NOT CHEAP!!!

while i agree that the member should at least try to go to video for a few minutes sometimes i think you have to realise that not everybody is rich here - even for many people who live in US/UK going to video for 30 minutes a week is a lot of money (30@say 1.5 = $45) - i am sure some members here are students themsleves or have not very well paid jobs too and if they were only working part time at say $10 per hour then that is a lot of money to find (after taxes, food, books, travel etc).
also i assume from this story that the memver and host are probably both from an eastern european country and if life is as hard for people/hosts in these countries that you cannot earn proper money without doing a job like this then surely men from your countries must be in the same position without lots of money to spare for videos here. remember that for hosts in a studio although you may possibly only receive $9 (half of 40% of $45) he is having to pay $45 - five times as much as you earn in a job that you feel is better paid than another job you could get in your country.

Interesting subject... I agree with those of you who said that meeting a person in real is very important. Typing things in chat are different from spoken words and can easily be misunderstood. On a serious note, you must have great resolve---enough to resist the urges you will have for some time. As you well know, the greatest urges occur after a meal and when you're having a drink. I can tell you the urges will go away. I quit smoking well over 20 years ago and I have no desire for a cigarette. It was probably about a year or more before the desire left me, but it did.
It also helps to quit with a buddy. The mutual encouragement and the competiton can really help you through. As others have pointed out, "cutting back" is not the ticket; THAT is self-deception. Also, the various aids (gum, patches, 12 step programs, hypnosis, etc.) will not help one bit if you do not have the inner resolve to quit. You also have the advantage of your youth. It will be much easier to give it up now than it will be if you continue to smoke and try to give it up 20 years from now. Bon courage Kate. :)

Figure out chat triggers you to smoke (stress, drinking alcohol, friends, sex :) and try to cut down those things till you stop smoking compleatly.

Kate... like with any addiction, it'll take a lot of willpower! That and some things that will slowly get you off the nicotine addiction: nicotine gum, "the patch", etc. I have gotten to know you as a strong person, so I am certain you can kick the addiction! Good luck!

while reading all posts,I felt how much I want to smoke now:) When I have read till the middle(about a guy with a cancer of his throat) I dressed and left for cigarettes.Yes,I felt no good.Many times i gave up.And..nothing..But,guys,thank you!:) I dont know how about Kate,if she gives up or not with your help,but it seems to me I have managed it now.Just several thoughts appeared in my head.First,there is a great difference between ''I want to want to give up'' and ''I want to give up''sometimes we WANT to wish,sometimes we just WISH..and second variant only works.Second,I found myself thinking how much in common I have with a donkey,which always needs a carrot in front of its eyes(stop cigarettes,start candies or other substitutions).So,three words:DEEP INNER STRENGTH..It was a solution for me,when I threw my second cigarette without finishing it.Freedom of choices is a wonderful thing:):) DONT TRY TO SUBSTITUTE,JUST FIND FREEDOM OF YOUR CHOICE INSIDE AND GIVE UP.:)

i read Alan Carrs - "how to give up smoking" and i stopped the habbit.
but when i quit - i suddenly created a Cam viewing habbit instead... Although i am sure healthier - my bank balance is not

last spring break story
Spring Break is about over, darn I will have to go back to work, so here's to all you love birds out there in the world. This story for today is dedicated to you:
This man had a dream that somehow, someday, there might be her and him. He kept dreaming, hoping, wishing someday that she would look at him. Then the moment came, they got together for the first time and then later he was down and left out in the dark. She didn't pay no attention to him, she became one of them. Oh sugar why'd did you do that to him, he will neverunderstand. He thought you were his friend. He cherished you, he care for you and you knew he had feelings for you. Why'd did you have to pretend. He believed that one day you two will meet again, and then the moment came and it passed right on by.
Hmm-this story is kind of sad in a way, but it happens everyday in the real world so to all cheers, have fun, party on and stay cool
