As I often say I'm an adult and quite capable of making up my own mind which hosts I will, or will not, visit. Plus peoples opinions of what makes a good or bad show vary wildly and that is why I never look at the star rating.

I would not consider the star rating as the sole reason for deciding whether or not to see a host but to say it does not provide any useful information is also wrong. The overall star rating is based on the last 10 members votes so if one or two members have some sort of connection problem, ask for something not allowed etc, it should not drop a hosts rating by more than half a star. Any host who has less than 2 stars has had a lot of unhappy members. Even this would not put me off a host but if I find she also has bad pics and a dull profile I may not bother.
I do think that if a host has a problem of some sort with a viewer such as his bad connection or he requested her to do something that is not allowed by CC or outside her category, and thinks he may rate her unfairly she should be able to EMail CC and ask that his rating not be counted.

I agree with most of comments here. Star rating is a useful guide on what to expect, but must be set against the section the host is in. A five star host in Non-Adult still will not get you a hardcore show but should indicate that the host is good company, attractive and with good connection.
Personally, I would not rate a host badly for a failed connection, but when the picture is grainey and keeps stalling - well that is just poor service in my book.

What you are saying just makes it more important to fully discuss in detail what you expect from the show before you go to video. Don't accept...maybes...or sometimes...or well if you get in the mood...or misunderstandings about what is topless...shirt off or everything off....dont accept those vaque answers. Get a clear understanding of what the host is expected to do. If she says no...move on. If yes she should be expected to do what she said she did or get a low star rating. It is like rating a restaurnat. When you leave the restaurant do you fell good? Was the place nice, the food good, the service good, the price right for what you got? At the end of the meal you decide was it really good...a 4 or 5.....average...decent but average..a 3...or not very good....1 or 2. Your overall impression. Your satisfaction level. We all know any single factor can ruin a meal and ruin your experience and lower your satisfaction. Same here. However I think a lot of guys tend to over or under rate. I have a good video and I give a 5...all the time. If it is bad...she gets a 1. I seldom give a 3. It is thumbs up or tumbs down for me. I look at ratings as an additional factor to consider. Does the girl look nice? How are her pictures? What is her price? Is she always busy (generally a good sign)...do I remember her being discussed in the forums? And finally...what is her star rating. If I am on the fence about a host. The star rating can make me go to or pass on a host. Lets face it. These ratings are averages of several members opinions. The law of large numbers tells us they will reflect a definte trend. low is bad. high is good. So yeah they are important and low scoring girls generally do give lousy videos or are scammers and high scoring ones give good shows, good value for the money and are the ones I go to see most often. If they are every available. The high ones are always popular. Lesson for your hosts.

For me the star rating system isn't the only factor determing if I go in to vid or not with a girl new to me. I take into account her personnel forum and the biggest factor...spending 5-10 min in text chat. I get more feedback as what I can expect and her personaility in text chat than the other 2 systems combined.

I do not use only the star system as my method of choosing a host to visit. I go by profile, text chat (because I always ask if I may come to video), responses in public forum, and community chat. After checking all of these I will decide to visit a host. I rate them in the star system, but I do not give a lower rating just to be giving a lower rating. I do pay attention to the category that I am visiting and go from there to judge what rating to give. I give ratings of 4 or 5, because of my prior research before I go to video. If I do not like the host I do not return to video with them.

I have been to Amsterdam quite a few times and also in October and it was great but the weather was nice . The truth is if the weather is nice it makes the difference but even in bad weather the old part of the city is great and there are many trams so you can get from A to be B without getting too wet if it rains .

There is a real atmosphere to the old town and the canals and once you have got past the red light district and the ' cafes ' there are also some beautiful and tranquil parts to inspire you .

I was on that street where the hookers are in windows. It was long time ago , 1965 or 66 I think. Don't remember much because I drank alot in those days. i think mine was the main post you are referring to. I did not make any generalisation that people who posted brief one liners were not intelligent. My comments referred to a particular host's posts and were a response to another poster who suggested that her posts showed how intelligent she was. I also did not say that she is not intelligent, just that the short posts made by this host that I had read were not especially clever or amusing and so did not provide any evidence of her intelligence. I certainly enjoy posts which are succint and/or funny; an enjoyment that may be tinged with envy as I seem to be incapable of making such posts myself. This post providing ample evidence of this.

I also have nothing against people who post messages of congratulation, love whether expressed in one line or in twenty. However I generally do not read a short post that just says happy birthday and think "wow they are smart". Neither do i think that the poster lacks intelligence. I was criticising the logic of another poster in the string who suggested that the host was intelligent based on her posts in the forum. Azterix who posted the comment said that he had never chatted directly with her. Equally I did not say that her posts suggested she is not intelligent. And you did right in questioning my logic, which had some faults. However, when I read someone's post (using the generic term here, not your name!), I try to look for their intention. Correct me if I am wrong, but the other poster's reference to dildoes and a lack of intellect is a pretty strong indication that this guy was just trying to hurt the host, albeit in a very cowardly way. I believe that when people act that way toward hosts, or other members for that matter...someone should point out their error to them. With regards to intelligence, there are many different kinds, but when members put down hosts just because they take their clothes off or don't have a great command of the english language, I always get upset. I think to myself "I know somewhere...somewhere in the world there must be a village missing their idiot!" Well, I probably need to get over it... :P

The point I was making is that I think you misinterpreted Eboy's post and so are wrong. To me he was not critical of the host or trying to hurt. He just gave what he felt was a balanced post. He basically said that she does not stall and gives a sexy show with a dildo, but he does not find her especially interesting to chat with so those for whom this is important may do better elsewhere. Women do have more to lose from no-strings attached sex because they are the one's that can get pregnant and be forced to live with the repercussions of that night for the rest of their lives. Even if you use protection and birth control, neither of those things is 100% effective and you can still get pregnant...especially if you use the free condoms provided by social services such as Planned Parenthood. A study in the US showed that those condoms were more likely to fail than brand name condoms sold at retailers.

Of course a woman could get an abortion, but very few of the women I know that have had abortions were the same mentally or physically after the proceedure. They carry a feeling guilt with them for the remainder of their lives and some suffered internal uteral scarring that made the possibility of them getting pregnant in the future difficult or even impossible.

And then there is the possibility of contracting an STD, which can have multiple repercussions on your life from being rendered infertile and unable to have children to a complete lose of life. Not to mention the emotional guilt you would feel if you had passed that STD onto others before you discovered you were infected. Maybe even a man you love and wanted to have a serious relationship with.

So yes there is a lot at risk for women. Otherwise women, through out the ages, would have had no objections to falling on their backs with their legs in the air ready to be mounted any time a cute guy winked at them. They not only knew the risks, but they dreamed for something more fulfilling.

Modern media has sensationalized the physical side of sex.... urged women (most especially young college-aged girls) to shed their inhibitions and perform sexual acts with men and other women on camera for a free T-shirt....feminist leaders have applauded women for seizing control of their sexuality, having one night stands, making booty calls, etc. All of them making billions of dollars off sex from video sales, speaking engagements, books, magazines, websites. But tell me, what are those people doing to help the women left behind in their wake... the women that have had their lives destroyed by irresponsible messages they spew in the interest of filling their greedy pockets? Nothing. Those women are left to fend for themselves, to pick of the pieces of their broken lives, while those other people are counting their money.

Don't be a fool, don't listen to the hype. Use you mind and think for youself. Consider all the risks and ask yourself if those risks are truly worth it for a few moments of physical emotionless pleasure.

And remember one thing, we can endure much in this life... the lose of friends and family, of money and possessions... but the most precious is our health, once you lose it can be very difficult or even impossible to get it back. You cannot really know that I guess unless you have ever suffered from a serious health problem and experienced real pain and felt the impact it has had on even the simplest of daily tasks... completely robbing you of any true enjoyment in life. It is so precious, that even the richest person in the world would gladly give away his entire fortune just have their health back and be able to enjoy their life again.

boring? if that's what you call being intelligent and protecting yourself, then yes those things are boring. And yes a responsible and mature WOMAN would take the proper precautions before having sex, but then again she would also be wise enough to not be treating sex as a sport. However, the ones that are treating sex as a sport, are primarily young girls and they are many times more likely to skip the precautions and just do it... putting themselves at great risk of pregnancy and disease.

But anyway if that's the way you feel, the next time you hear some young girl crying cuz she hooked up with some strange guy at the club and she got pregnant and the guy took off leaving her to raise the kid alone... or she got an STD... you can start laughing and go on to tell her how it's a great sport. I'm sure she'll agree with you. NOT!

oh, and about feelings and emotions. What i see a feeling is a lasting emotion, like love, hatred. On the other hand, emotions heat and disappear, can last for a second, for an hour, never for 2 years, for instance. As for a 'heat' in sex, it can be anything: passion, too much alcohol, may be.

Emotionless sex? Hummmm.. Difficult to imagine, I would say. While true, there have been some one night (or daytime) events occur in my years, I can't remember one which was detached from emotion. As I see it, passion is an emotion, and, while perhaps sometimes detached from a commitment or a promise of perpetuity, participation in lovemaking with another person is certainly not without emotion. Even if only for 30 minutes. Granted, I can't recall some of the names, but I do have a memory of each and every one I have ever shared the experience with. Ahh yes, life is good. And,, it is those memories which make me smile sometimes, now I have reached a "Nice Age" :).

The quickest way to find out would be to try it and see. I have used a Visa electron debit card in the past so i belive it is possible. However you should notify the issuing bank that payments will be made to companies abroad (Hong Kong, Netherlands) otherwise when they see the transactions they may be suspicious that your card is being used fraudulently.

Good point. I switched credit cards on CC a year or so ago while I was at a business conference. Mid-way through the conference my CC privledges were suspended due to a problem with my credit card. It was new with plenty of credit so I was surprised. The next day when I get home I had a message from the issuing banks antifraud antitheft division telling me they stopped the transactions because they were suspicious. Of course I had to tell them...no...I am just a pervert and those charges were legitimate. At least it was not Chicks with Dicks or something like that.

my bank got suspicious several years ago when i switched to just using my debit card. they refused the charges at first and called me. after that they allowed the charges to go through

There are certainly schools that offer intensive classes. There are also audio CDs and self study courses that say you can learn the language quickly but it all comes down to effort. I would recommend seeing if you could take or audit an academic course in the language at a local university. The BF idea is not a bad idea either. If you could make friends with a chinese national (not necessarily a bf) you can pick up the language quickly. You need to speak it all the time to master it.
