I think it is really a silly idea and mostly a way for looser (and some sick!) members to intimidate and manipulate hosts. I have nothing against CC as a company, but they should really reconsider the star rating system. Nothing wrong to admit to having made a mistake....we all make them once in a while!

A strong +5. Remember one sourpuss member is not going to affect the score. It is the average of many members and that indicates a tred. Positive or negative. That is tremendously helpful if I am undecided or I dont trust a host. I will not pay a lot of money and take a chance on an expensive host with a 2 rating. That type of thing. I like it. Long overdue.

If there were only one sourpuss member once in a blue moon, you would be right. However, you are discounting the number of 1) sourpusses 2) sick members asking for stuff out of category and 3) loosers in general on this site. If you want to pay attention to the stars, please by all means knock yourself out...Go ahead, and give cc a 5 star for this move. However, based on what I've read on these boards, I am guessing that MOST members (except category 1, 2 and 3 above and a few exceptions like yourself) and hosts will agree that the star system makes no sense.... But you and I can agree to disagree, and for the time being it seems like you've got it the way you want it, anyway. However, assuming that cc wants to sustain it's business model for the long term, would be better to poll its long term members and hosts more thoroughy before implementing such changes. There are more members looking for a bargain than high rollers like you Amazed. Yes I look for good hosts under a dollar and I find them everyday. The problem is they are always busy making money unlike a lot of the prima donnas who sit and joke with their coworkers, talk with their moms and boyfriends on the phone, and generally are bored because their price is too high and they are not doing videos and not making money.. I will make you day....xKacey...one of many hosts in the under a buck group. Attractive...great body...great show...nice kid...50 cents. Always busy. And I do spend more than a buck on occasion. If you give a good show. At a good price then you should not be worried about the rating system. I would venture most of the hosts complaining are not 4 or 5 rated. I've been a member here for about 4 years and for most of that time CC has had no rating system at all. Having seen endless debates about the value (or lack thereof) of CC's star rating system, I decided to do a little research about my own choices of hosts to see if I could draw any conclusions.

This is what I checked for in my own viewing history and why. Since I couldn't remember exactly when the star system first started, but I thought it was probably about 3 or 4 months ago, I checked my viewing history for hosts with whom I had chatted for at least 30 minutes but only before May of 2007. I know that if I chatted with a host for at least 30 minutes, I enjoyed my time with her and, if our chat was in May of 2007 or earlier, I would not have had the benefit of CC's rating system upon which to base my decision. I also checked for the last time each of those hosts were online in case they hadn't been here much since the rating system went into effect. If they left CC shortly after the ratings began, they might not have had enough reviews for the law of star averages to kick in. So here are my last 10 sessions that met these criteria and how these hosts are rated now after several months of other viewer's opinions:

You expressed that beautifully, but I disagree with you. Only a fool trusts blindly, in my opinion. Trust can, and often is, earned over a period of time. I don't believe in relationships that are picture perfect from the getgo, but I guess I am prepared to change my mind if you can convince me differently. I only am willing to commit when I feel that I have reasonable assurance that the person I am committing to is worth committing to. I emphasize the words reasonable assurance, because nothing in this life is clear cut. I assumed that every host on this site were out just to get my money, but I was willing to have my assumptions challenged, and was proven wrong (or at least so I would like to believe!).

Reading my repsonse to your post, I realized that it was made based on emotions, without really reading carefully what you said. I read your post once more, and broke your reasoning down to see if I agreed or not (sorry about the caps, I am not yelling, just distinguishing my comments from your verbiage):

Not trying to turn this in to a philosophical discussion, but wanted to show you that I really thought about what you said rather than reacting emotionally. I think a relationship can get to a point where there are no conditions, no doubts, and no questions needed, and if that has happened to you I am happy for you. Most of us have to work at it, and I think asking questions and having doubts, like the original poster did, is a very healthy thing. To say that if he questions her motives or have doubts there cannot be any real love does not make sense, and perhaps this is not what you meant to say.

Tisme has a valid point, but perhaps his statement is a little too rigid...I'm sure he means well, though. You are seeking some input and validation, and that is not a bad thing in and of itself. However, ulitmately you've got to make up your own mind and trust your own instincts. Someone gave me a piece of good advice here once, I think it was Meloname, he said something like this: If you feel 95% sure of your girl, pay especial attention to the 5% that does not feel right. That is really some of the best advice I've received anywhere for a long, long time. However, some guys go to the extreme and focus all their attention on those 5%....and I think that can only lead to negative results. So, I agree with "tisme" in that the fact that you are asking the question means that you should pay attention. I do not believe that it means that it is all about money and cannot mean love. Phil, there's nothing in my post to indicate that I've been using cc for that purpose, so my guess is that you incorrectly responded to my post but that you meant to address the original poster. As for me, I used this site for entertainment and stress relief, but happened to fall in love. Trust me, the last thing on my mind was searching for a wife! That is not to say I will never marry my love that I found here(with permission from you, of course!), but that is another topic. In general, I think you are right. If you are looking for a wife, this should not be your first stop. If you are looking for a wife, check out your local a) bar b)church (or place of worship, depending on your religion) c)laundromat or better yet d) have your parents arrange the busines. I have no experience with match.com and similar sites, but I guess that would work too! Yes, I agree with you, why would anyone look for a wife here? About guys here not being able to find GF in their own country, I think that varies a lot...Some of us cannot, for which you should be happy! Then some of us can, but prefer not to, for a multitude of reasons. Ask the same question in the host forum, why some hosts would want to meet a member, and you would get some interesting responses. Does that mean they cannot get a BF in their own country?

Why try a foreign guy? Maybe they had some bad experiences with their guys and see no better prospects nearby and think trying someone RADICALLY different might do the trick.

It was a good question. One which was lost among the eclectic offering of advice and theory running the gamut from why to why not, coupled with mini debates over the advice of several respondents. But, how many replies where on point and actually helpful? I believe the writer wished to hear from those who had married a CC host, not glean opinion upon opinion, from those without the experience, as to whether the course was prudent. Come on people, the question was legitimate. If a question is asked and targeted to a specific sector of membership, and you do not belong to that sector, why the need for rambling on and on? (like I just did)

Well written, and your speculation partially accurate as you were one of the 5 or 6 direct respondents posting to the writer. I did, however, read the entire post and linked to the original poster as my comment was directed to the populous responding to the original writer and not the threads.

In my post I asked one question; "How many replies were on point and actually helpful ?". The post was concluded with a mild admonishment in the form of a question to which there was one valid reply from "the fourth estate".

Admittedly, I , as you appear to have a propensity to do as well, love to stir it up when something begs for such a response. Additionally, I admit there is the proclivity to write from the "hip" and, in so doing, may sometimes seemingly impart a condescending flavor in writing. I do however, even in acting as a self righteous fool, try to stay on point when responding to a writer.

Interestingly, several qualified respondents have replied since the post. Perhaps our banter actually stimulated a response from the requested demographic.

I started out wanting a "Sex Vacation" to her country, had a mutual friend set us up with a date for pay. We got to talk for about a month before the date approached, and before the date was to happen, she backed out, said she did not want the money. She pretty much avoided me for a few weeks but would still chat with me in her room here in CC, allowed me once to take her prvt, this was not a 121, another customer came in ruined my "exclusive" time with her. But is any marriage ever easy?No. Keep your woman happy.Show genuine interest in her activities.Support her emotionally.Be part of her life everyday.

If you do those things then she will respond in kind....it's not rocket science.

First I want to congratulate the change in mentality to a more mature nature that I have witnessed from some people at this site. My questions are as much for myself to ponder (and I will decide for myself) as much as they are for others to reflect upon your own relationships you have created here.

Some of the comments are right on as far as I am concerned, others well, we all have our opinions. Perhaps the biggest reason for my post is to show we are not alone and we are not crazy, life and love can happen nearly anywhere!

Probably what happened to me is that I had a day when I was examining myself and I performing some reality checks.

In particular I appreciate the information from Azterix and SumYoungGuy although there were many other good comments!

I didn't quite get the fishy smell comment of the previous poster, but I think you got some honest responses already in this thread. First, I want to say that anyone who meets his gf on this site is well served to apply some common sense and heed the advice of some of the more cynical members who post on this site. That being said, things are not always black and white, in fact they seldom are. In my case, my girl does not want to depend on me financially, but she knows I am there for her and I've occasionally helped her out. We've met in person, and I truly believe that she loves me for who I am, not for what I've got. On the other hand, women are genetically programmed to seek security, so it would be naive of me to think that my gf would have fallen in love with me if I were a homeless bum. That goes for most women though, not only hosts on this site.

What really hurts me sometimes is when I read posts of guys who are obviously taken for a ride by unscrupelous hosts. These guys are usually the one's who can the least afford it, too.

I sincerely believe that if my gf were to leave me tomorrow, I would not feel any regrets about any money I spent on her to improve her life. I would feel the regret of my loss, of course, but not any regrets. I think if you love someone, it is only natural that you want to share with them. Just don't share what you don't have... Sorry if this sounds too simplistic, but I think it is really that simple!

Getting to know a host. So many are funny, intelligent and just good company. Talking about sexual things with them after you become friends. Then, of course, the video. When someone who likes you as a person and who you like as a person strips for you it is much better than the usual mechanical, forced theatrical strip you get from some hosts. All of that and quite frankly what leads up to the strip is often the most exciting part. As long as I dont think about the money and how it could be better spent. I am happy.

The only thing money SHOULD do in a relationship, coupled with a decent job and good heart, of course, is to signify the fact that the guy is responsible and can support a family.

A woman will often warm to a guy who she wasn't initially very attracted to if he makes a lot of effort over a period of time. However, if she's happy to take so much money from him without having even liked him much, it doesn't say much about her personality. I would suggest their marrige will end in divorce within three years. That's unless he can make sure she has a new BMW each year.
