The fact that you are upset that she is not coming to your city tells me that you too have an agenda. If she truly is a friend, you would not worry about what is best for you. You would worry about what is best for her. And while I don't know where you live, maybe she has good reason to pick another city such as it is a nicer place to visit, the jobs pay more, her friends will be there et cetera. Sounds to me you think that she is just trying to get money from you to visit another guy and that you want a return for your investment.

Of course I have an agenda! It is called a relationship! I believe the only long distant relationship that makes any sense is one where you look forward to being together some day, otherwise it is a waist of time. I am not worried about another guy! Tourist Visa to Russia for non US or English speaking countries
Has anyone experienced similar problems to me. I am staying in Czech Republic at the moment but cannot be classified as a resident.
I have been told that I should visit Russia as there is a lot of culture to see apart from the women, so I had thought it would be easy to obtain a visa as a tourist!!! No such luck, Russian consulate in Brno maintain they cannot issue me with Visa and that I should go back to UK to obtain one from there!!!!. How crazy is this? It looks like they don't want tourists. Anyone have any similar experience or know way around the situation?

Thanks for info but looks as if I am out of luck as the require to have my passport and unfortunately I need it at all times with me in CR, so I think I can forget any travel to Russia until I have been in CR for 5 years which is when I qualify for Czech citizenship and by that time I will probably be dead....lol
