Does the line ever blur for hosts?
I am fully aware that the hosts are here to make you happy, to make you think they "love" you, and to keep you coming back. I am not here for a relationship; I am fully aware of the realities of the situation.
But...
Does a host ever actually become particularly fond of a customer? I am familiar with a host; we have exchanged e-mails, texts, and calls. A few weeks ago she told me that whether I see her on cc or not is unimportant; her claim is that it is not about the money. In fact, I have come on cc less and the messages, etc. have continued.
My question is basic: is this from a real set of kind emotions or is it just good business, or a combination of both? Do hosts blur the line, on occasion, just as the members sometimes do?

I think it is possible for a host to meet people she is compatible with, among the members who visit her, and they can even become friends at some point. I still keep in touch with a few members i know for over 6 years, most of them don\'t even go to cam sites anymore. It\'s not all about money, there will always be paying members, old and new, but someone you can really communicate and discuss any topic with is quite hard to find, so it is possible that the host you are talking about is genuine.
Well, you should start to worry if she directly or indirectly asks for your financial support at some point:P

It's hard to know your situation. People with history here know very well that it is possible to blur the line... It could be true feelings or a good business as well. Take a look in the mirror, are u between 20 and 40, single and attractive? Or at least enough for her to say 'that works? Are u american and have good situation? Maybe she wants to marry and move away in different country and have no worries about money anymore. If this is the case, she has some feelings for u too.......

Even if you\'re not there for a \"relationship\" it's good to know if a person's friendship is based upon money or persoanlity. It\s a reasonable question to ask given the fact that the girls are paid to be your best friend during the chat. It looks to me like the O.P. is in a legit friendship, but as someone said, make sure she doesn't start asking for money.

The line can definitely get blurred. I met a girl here around 2 years ago and at first was a just regular customer. However over several months we began chatting on MSN, SMSing and calling each other on the phone. Eventually it got to the point where we were chatting for several hours every single day. For you the host it is not a big deal because you are not paying it...I am sure in your personal life each week you pass on items in the grocery store or elsehwere because the price is higher than you wish. Just as most hosts here will not admit that have bfs and husbands ...members feel more comfortable pretending to be single. They also wrongly think it will interest the host more if the member is single. She will think more of him than if he were a married man cheating on his wife. Well first off both men and women have "the right" (legal right) to get married at the age of 18, (in most countries). That is the only actual right you can reffer to, the other aspects of it being strictly individual (personal choice), social and educational.
But yes, I agree that both men and women should think of marriage only when they are independent - which basically means financially stable.
A simple example would be an unemployed woman (i am talking no career whatsoever, and no plans for one) getting married to a financially stable guy who is willing to support her. They have a kid, she's a stay at home mom, and everything is fine till he meets someone else, and asks for a divorce. The fictional woman here, is basically doomed. No refferences to the kid, because in this story daddy will pay child support on a regular basis. But there are much worse scenarios:)

A man and a women "should" get married if they love each other. End of story. Maybe being responsible and not having children until you're sure you provide for them would be the only "prerequisite".

In an ideal world two people in love should want to commit to something greater like a marriage, a family and a future together. However in practice this is not always possible, and if there is one thing I have learned, it is that love, in and of itself, is not enough sometimes.
Still we all have to have dreams and aspirations, else why would we be motivated to do anything at all? That you can love someone unreservedly is part of it, that you can support them in their choices, emotionally or fiscally, is another.
Money is nice, but money without love is pretty hollow and not worth anything when you are laying alone in the dark loveless and forgotten.
Given the choice I know which I would prefer.

What is the proper behavior when you end a relationship with a host or a member due to some difference of opinion? Do you keep all secrets? Do you remain a gentleman or lady?

I have always contested that a gentleman never tells, but a braggart tells anyone.
CC members and hosts do love their gossip but the trouble with gossip is by definition it is second hand information and subject to interpretation.
Even if they bad mouth you behind your back, a thousand different rumours mean nothing if they are not willing to be addressed publicly and contested.
