To show or to see, tha's the question
- Hosts request to join their show: this is obviously about gaining money, which I don't object ofc.
- Other hosts request to see me: this too can invlove earning money, which again I don't object. But, but, ... it's possible some really want to see me, by curiosity, by politness (also from my apart) without priority of payed vids.
Any advice how to cope with this situation? And to assess the true intention? ;-)

Fil, you are always affable and good fun so why shouldn't hosts enjoy your company? They also need to earn money like we all do.
I made some good friends amongst my clients but of course I still needed to be paid. Never a problem. )
I believe you already know this so why your question? Something else bothering you?

I don't know you but I feel obliged to reply in case you're having language difficulties again. Do you use a cam when you are in video with a host? The host request to see you could just be wanting to see you on cam, if you don't already use a cam. It helps a host interact with you, whether its just chat, or something else ))) If, however, a host wants to see you in real for a meeting then that's obviously a whole different thing. Which is it?

Aaah, OldHand, tnx for your reply: I was not clear enough. I was only talking about public or pm chatting. I seldom go into vid, but when I do , I automatically open MY cam: it's obvious, it's politeness in my view

Okay. If I understand right then its requests from hosts in comm chat room - open or in pm - to see you. Treat the 'I would like to see you' exactly the same as 'Come to my video' - it means the same thing, just two different ways to say it. OK?

I agree with you, Charlette: communication is more complete when one sees each other: face expression, body language, non-verbal communication...And the more, the better ;-)

I appreciate your effort to answer, Klioxxx, but I didn't use the expression 'true attention'. Although it implies this, ofc: seeing each other means more complete communication, as a kind of politeness, as a sign of not hiding.
And attention in my view, also means a 'civilized' start of chatting: not a meaningless short 'hi' or 'hru'. Or am I old-fashioned?

Hey guys, I ve just finished reading this book from Amazon. Gosh it's a great read. Was wondering if anybody else read it.

Not sure if there is a Russian version to be honest, though the writer appears to be Russian. Most likely a former or acting model. She definately knows a lot about this business. The story is fascinating - dark and dramatic. Didnt like the ending though.

I though that this book would be something like this too. But was surprised to find a really fascinating story about a girl who went to work as a webcam model after her boyfriend was killed and she was the next on the hit list. There are plenty of pvt scenes in the book, some of them are really funny, others not so much - just like in real pvts. The ending was tragic and i didn't like it. Nothing about the models being sluts at all. In fact the models are depicted as smart, gorgeous and funny girls. Really awesome read.

Having met 2 webcam models in their home country Russia, I realised why they had to be so tough and resilient. They had to contend with the local gangsters, a disinterested government, no social welfare programme.....being young women, they were prime targets of all the low life.

Knowing that what happens in life happens for a reason and that the things that happen shape and mould you into the person you are today, if I had the chance to change 2 things I would. First off she simply says "Come see" so I start adjusting my cam and whatnot so a cpl mins goes by in which I explain that. I then proceed to ask 3 or 4 more times if she is ready and get no response. She simply logs off.
Try to treat people with respect, but I guess it doesn't mean they will reciprocate...AT ALL.
Disappointed by her actions, but I won't specifically name her, but you may find her EYES enchanting.

Just one of those nights. Because you did not disrespect the host here, I have to believe you did not upset her in private chat. It might have been the end of the night/day/afternoon and they wanted a good night kiss, not to perform your requests. Imagine the times you pulled out of chat without saying goodbye. Kudos to you for keeping her and your dignity while venting a issue in forums.

Adjust your cam and whatnot before asking if shes ready ...... ('whatnot' makes me shudder to think what you're adjusting). Have you thought that she may have more than one name and by the time you had finished messing around, someone had entered her video on another name so, by the rules, she had to shut you down. Why not ask her for explanation before going public with your complaint.

Also, just cleaning what may be visible on cam. It was a spur of the moment decision, so I hadn't cleaned what would be considered the viewing area. I also had to get the cat out of the room, which meant coaxing him out from under the bed.

Hi AvrOva, I am in the USA and usually buy quality coffee in grocery stores. Peaberry varieties I find to be my favorite; locally roasted is preferred.
I also enjoy green tea, macha, and oolong teas: I find these best to purchase in tea shops if you can find them. A good Chinese oolong tea is quite elegant :)))
