But, firstly, no one forcing members to come here. If they come here it means they need it. And of course they realise that hosts are unknown people, different people, with different level of moral qualities and responsibility. That is why their experiences here could be different for sure, sometimes good but sometimes bad.
Secondly, like in real life, we meet hundreds of people but not each of them becomes our friend, bf/gf, husband/wife but only SOME. Here is the same. You could spend years online but finally you can find just couple of REAL friends, and maybe even a REAL love. Those persons whom you could call a real treasure. It happens, not often but happens.

This is a hard one. If they only do it a time or two it is probably okay to listen and help them if you can. If they continue more different times, then I think you need to tell them that you cannot help them and try by using as a caring way as possible to cut it short. If they come to your paying video later, you can put up with this a little longer. If they do not , then end it quicker,.

From a business point of view your suggestion is very sound in that a company should try and reward it's biggest customers but froma poor (i.e. me) members point of view it seems a little unfair that the people who can afforrd to have the most videos then get to have some free ones too :(

I agree that the contest should be every month or so. In addition it would be nice to have some incentive for the members also. One example could be that if a member were to spend a certain amount in a month in one host's video, then they would receive a slight discount on the per minute rate for one future session with that same host.
The same thing could work for the host. For example if the host brings in a certain amount of money in a month then they would receive a higher % for their share that month. To me the host and cc would both make more money with that setup.

I couldnt agree more. I thought at first with this contest that the shows would be better and wilder but with a single exception I have seen neither for members. So there is really no incentive.

About the rating system
Before rating system was implemented, when I was first in video, I generally got all of hosts attention (even in open). Now when a second member enters host feels compelled to talk to him now being afraid to ignore him else she gets bad rating. Happens too often now. If this happens in my video, you WILL get a bad rating. Seems things work both ways.

While I agree that the first member should still get all or, at the very least, most of the attention aren't you just adding to the problem by voting the host badly ?
As for me I tend to go 1-2-1 in video to stop this happening unless the 1-2-1 price is way much higher than the open price (of course that still depends on what the open price is) and then I juts don't visit that host.

Nothing good can come from this. It's very subjective as to who is best or who is worst. Why risk hurting someone's feelings. Imagine if a bunch of strangers held a vote at your work to determine who was the biggest a-hole on the job. It could be a friend of yours.

Well I just tried it and its soooooooo much better! What's more, it works on a Mac (and in Safari - that's an achievement in itself).

Depends on the host. If you are talking average take per host I would guess 30-50 dollars. Remember most wind up with 25% of the charge or less. Say average per minute is 1.00 she nets .25 cents....to make 30 bucks she would need to be in video a total of 2 hours. For 50 bucks over 3 hours.... I see a hot of hosts cooling their heels. Netting 3 hours of video time I think is pretty good. A few do very well. Another few make nothing at all.

We just happen to have a nice relationship, and I am fortunate enough to be able to afford to see her so often. When money is involved in any endeavor people get crazy. Men here are largely impatient and feel that paying for something gives them the right to be rude. Its doesn't. Remember many of the men who come here are not exactly lady's men. Some have trouble with relating with women and some use the opportunity to harass women. As always 'well' right on target. Since I am always polite, it pains me to hear that we are all painted with this broad brush and no credit is ever given to the nice viewers. The members do not hold a monopoly on rudeness.

i had 6 during all my life and i never have more than 1 at the same time. The last partner is OMG, he used to make me feel alive, very much alive but he is leaving to his country in 1 week, so...:(

If you remember that jimmy then you probably do remember that far back as I'm sure they did not have a 6th Birthday Bash. At first they posted the position of every host in their profile but there were lots of questions about what the numbers meant. CC then explained this and just as everyone seemed to get to grips with it they changed it to only the top 50 ???? hosts.

All the hosts threw their toys out of the pram during the 5th birthday party voting, and there was virtual scratching out of eyes and bitching for weeks.

Janey if I remember correctly the voting was 1 vote per video per member name per day regardless of how much the video was and for how long it went on. Therefore members were making new member names and videoing for 1-2 minutes.
It wasn't all bad as a lot of hosts reduced their prices (even to free) and performed very hot shows in the hope of getting votes. Other hosts found out about this and jealousies surfaced and the resullt was as TWTD states in his post.
Although the current competition voting system isn't perfect it is an improvement on the 5th Birthday Bash except for no cheap vids.
