i usually only visit my friends on here, and i always vote most stars for them, and would never go into someone chat to just low rate them, and the hosts i have for friends would never ask me too.

I am sorry that some guys are like that to come for a very short time and then rate you low. it is not right, but it is done. I usually visit with people I know, but I will visit some new hosts. I have developed in my mind to never give a host a bad rating if I do not like them. I will either give a good rating or I will refuse to rate them, because the rating is just my opinion and I do not want that to hurt anybody. So from me a host will get a good rating or no rating.

That party five years ago was in Brasov. I know quite a few hosts were there, as Brasov had some more studios in those days and Brasov is a popular tourism destination. I think a couple members were there, too.
Back then the main countries for hosts were Latvia, Romania and Russia. Now, of course, the Philippines has replaced Latvia and there is a sizable minority from South America. (Surely not to forget a few from Britain and the US.)
Meeting cc staff these days would be less exciting. Five years ago they posted frequently in the forums, answering questions and chit-chatting, and we got to know their personalities. Now you only see their names when they sign the messages answering complaints of failed video and documented stalling.

Actually it can be a great idea, but then is kinda depends on who you are going to invite :) In my experience online meets are all about people sharing a common connection. It is best not to have cliques and best not to have factions. However from what I know of CC there may well be plenty of scope for just such a meet. Contrary to popular perception CC's draw is not just for the sex and the money, and there are many who are part of CC who don't regard either as important as meeting new people, sharing new ideas, talents or experiences.
So yes, I'd be happy to attend, if I was invited, Laughing Girl. It would be nice I think to meet up with CC staff too and finally buy them a beer or two for their help and innovation over the last years.
Question is though would you invite me? And who else would you want on a list of people to meet? :)

Well the trouble with the organisational aspects of it is that you need a core of people who can help organise and plan such an event. That basically means people who tend to live close to each other, say the same city, and are not afraid of planning for large groups.

there was a party planned a few times and when it came to the crunch everyone turned out to b all talk ad no action...myself and DarrenO keep tryin 2 organise trips and parties but no one seems to wanna actually go through with it,,,shame

What I meant was not an open-ended, show-up-whenever. I meant an organized RSVP with deadlines and deposits required. That's why you need an accredited tourism agency to co-ordinate it so that everybody's butt is covered.

Many, many of the members and hosts have personalities quite different from their online personas. So don't expect that any event will turn into a public orgy.

Well said. I think both the girls and guys would behave much differently. Ask a girl to strip one to one at the party and you will wind up with your teeth in your hand. On the other hand I am sure the hosts will manage to pick our pockets clean. Life is wonderful.

Well, I see not just a few persons would like to see each other :) Some are ready and the main problem is to organize it properly. I like the idea that hosts from the most popular countries could invite their favourite members to join the party in their own countries. Also well-known that to get a visa is easier to people from Western countries to visit Russia for a example, or Romania, or Philipines. Each one member has his own favourite hosts for sure, that\'s why he could join the party in those countries where his friends are from.
I am not saying I could organize such a serious project, I was just asking "what if"...but if there will be just some of us who could take part, anyway it should be a great event. Many of people enjoy tourism, so why not to do it along with the possibility to see each other?

Don't think of it as meeting one on one particular hosts or members. If that's what people want, it can be done individually (and often is). Think of it as just a general party and tourism opportunity.

I had not heard of the huge storm. Xelina, I am glad that your dad is okay and I still pray for the families of the others who have lost their lives in this storm. Also the suffering of nature as a result of the oil spill is a major concern also.

supposing your father woerked at the world trade center, similar to a natural disaster,. Now whether your father was an office worker attending his job, or a policeman , firefighter whatever and whether he was injured at the the site or not. the comment "but he was paid to be there" comes off sort of as, well if he had worked someplace else it wouldn't have happened him wouldn't bother you. what difference does it make whether your paid to be there or not. it doesn't, they were just there whether paid to be or just a good citizen or immigrant trying to help

Yes, the job of a merchant marine is dangerous at times and generally a very difficult one. It's lucky that most of these guys were safely rescued.
Sadly, the biggest part of the story vis-a-vis the journalists will always be the oilspill because we accept that the job is dangerous, but we expect that the captain will take care of the ship and avoid the spill.

My gf dumped me today. I was having a relapse to cc and she caught me using another screen name visiting another host.
Tried the argument that she stills work her so why should she care...but of course that would not appease a woman scorned.
My gf has now decided that I'm a pathetic, dirty pervert. This in itself does not bother me much, because i recognize it as being essentially true. What bothers me is that she threatened to change her email, phone number and ban me from ever visiting the Philippines again (not sure if she can do that last thing, but that is what she said). :P
So now I am sad and lonely. I don't normaly spend much time in Comchat, but I went there to cry my heart out on my sleeve. It helped, actually. One guy there suggested that I try emailing my gf a poem, he said women love that stuff. So I was trying to get in touch with my romantic side...but I cannot even find a word that rhymes with pussy! :P As all of you know...I excel at writing long, boring posts..I've never done poetry. I've done a few limericks, but I don't think that is what this occasion calls for.
So member and hosts....I know this is not very honest....but I would like for someone help me write a beautiful poem. Xelina, you almways write such beautiul senseless stuff. You, or someone else...can you help me out? I really need to get her back....my life is very dull without her. That last part is no joke.

I saw that Elena. I am glad your dad is ok. This reminds me of the russian submarine that went down off the Northern Norwegian coast a few years back. They were there for hours and hours. Norwegian Rescue Diver Rescue Teams begged to be allowed to help...but due to military red tape pushback by the Russian gvment....by the time they finally entered the soldiers were all dead. If a poet chooses to share their heart and it matches someone else's feelings all well and good. But to write a poem to order, well you might as well be writing a TV advert jingle.

It wasn't my actual intention to have someone else write a poem for her. She or her friends might of course be reading this, so that would be pretty foolish of me. I was in a strange state of mind when I started posting this thread yesterday....went from angry self justification, to "forget her" to self indulgent sentimentalism, then to trying to make jokes about it. Yes, but, what gete and Tech are refering to, are those fallen members of the Bristish Commonwealth, not just Australia. Rememberance Day is widely celebrated in the UK also.

As a viewer I do not consider myself as better then a host. I do pay for my visits to videos and I can choose if I go or do not go, but a host can also make the same choice; however the host does lose money if they choose no. So to me they both have choices.

I won't criticize you, but I think you should try to ask better questions in life. Questions are very powerful. The question you asked is a presumptive question, which is flawed. For example, if you ask someone "Does it bother you that Azterix is so boring?" then you are presuming that Azterix is boring, you are shaping their mind about him (which in this example is true, but that is not the point).
Maybe you just did not think so much before you posted because you were angry at some a##hole viewer who really thought he was better than you. We are not all like that, and that is why some people got angry at you in this post.

I actually try to find the less popular ones because they are easier to see. I look usually for brunettes with small to medium breasts and pretty faces. The ones I stick to as a regular remember me and my preferences and know how to tease well.

Just the same as in real life. In the first instance I look for hosts who I find physically attractive. So if they look sexy in their photos they will probably get a visit. However a host with a sense of humour can also attract me and so posts in the forum or funny comments in comm chat can also get my interest.

For the first couple of years I would look at a host's pics. I think the pics tell a lot. I sometimes would read the profile but generally they are pretty generic and in many cases misleading. Then I would look at the price. The past 6 months I look at the price first. No sense in getting interested in a host who is almost 2 dollars a minute. A dollar is generally my upper limit with some exceptions. Popular hosts tend to be popular for a reason. They are particularly hot, or smart and funny, or extremely sexual. But I agree with another poster. Some real gems can be found if you take the time to look and often they are quite affordable. Kiro4ka was a recent find. Amazing smile. Great personality and a beautiful smile. 90 cents. Why pay more?

I make my choice for visiting a new host by reading the profile, looking at pictures, looking at cost, and by text chatting with the host first either on community chat privately or in straight private. In the text chat is where I get the greatest influence to convince me to go to video with the host. It depends upon how welcome the host makes me feel.
After I have gone to video once or twice with the host I then make a decesion to return again or not to return again. It all is based on how the host makes me feel about our time together. At that point it is a "go" or a "stop" for future visits.

About Russian nationality
After 4 years living in Russia you can get the nationality. But - as far as I know there is a second nationality on the russian pasport. It something like Buryat, Rus, Tatar,.... What is the impact of this second nationality and which one should I get as new Russian. Anybody knows here?

As far as I know there is no any nationality specified in a NEW form of Russian passport. It was an old form of a passport where nationality was specified. Now all citizens of Russia have a passport of a citizen of Russian Federation. That is all.

I believe the "second nationality" was in fact a person's ethnicity - ethnic Russian, Jew, etc Not something you can pick nilly-willy.
