Doesn't Picasa do some editing... I've never used it, but I think it is a free photo program that does basic editing.
Not sure if links are allowed here or not, but just google picasa. It's made by google and free.

Why not try something a little more advanced, like the GIMP.

It is free software (courtesy of the GPL) and there are many tutorials on the web on how to use it for photo retouching. Just put " GIMP photo tutorial" into google and explore.

Yeah, the GIMP is really good. Don't know why that didn't occur to me. I use it on a Linux machine, but there is a Windows version too. Does a lot of the stuff that photoshop does and is free. The user interface is a bit different than a typical windows program, but once you play around with it a bit, it's easy.

For many reasons (which is isn't necessary to mention here) the prices of everything are rising, in the UK and I'm sure where you are too. It is unreasonable not to expect that host's prices will also rise, as they have to meet the increased costs of living the same as everyone else. Member's who complain about price rises are merely looking after their own self-interests and lacking a grasp of economic realities. Having said that, one needs to be cautious of rising prices too sharply as that will only serve to alienate those members who will have happily accepted a more modest increase.

A grasp of economic realities? Hmm!! I truly do take offense to that. It is economic realities that have tighened the purse strings. So, in other words, if hosts want to raise their price so they can "live they way they are accostom to, are lacking a bit of economic reality. It is a matter of marketing. That is, during hard times and falling monetaries, that the hosts should realize that it may not behoove them to increase prices. They should understand that more and more visitors are looking for a bargain now and scrutenizing prices because their own purse strings have been strangled by rising prices. So, next time you make a statement accusing the members of doing their best to be frugal with their monetaries should not be bombasted by you whom appear to be a self make millionair. Not everyone is in your envious position.

I am sorry you took offence, this was not my intention. There are two factors to the equation, both of which are affected by the "economic realities" in different and conflicting ways. For the member it means they have to tighten the purse strings, in your words, and search out bargains (and it is in this context you say hosts shouldn't raise their prices). However, the obverse affect of "economic realities" for the host is the increased costs of production, both directly and obliquely. Take an example away from cc. The cost of wheat is at record highs, due to the effects of the weather on certain key harvests throughout the world. So supply is reduced at a time when there is also increasing demand in emerging economies. There is only one possible outcome: an increase in the cost of the daily loaf of bread. I might not like it, but I cannot deny the reality that the loaf has to be more expensive; bargains may still be available in some places, but it should not be the expectation. By the way, I am no nearer being a self-made millionaire than you are, and am subject to the same economic pressures as you are.

Supply and demand, lower prices = higher volume = more money. If you sit there with no one at $2.50 per minute, you're making nothing, just using oxygen

Your price is very resonable, trust me .I worked several places but this one is the best and treats the hosts very corectly in terms of percentage is why i think girls can afford to offer resonable price.But for me anytihng under 2 per min in open (im instant action and i actually provide the instant action shows , i wont even ask their names or small talk if the member is not showing any intrest in it )and i still think is low.In any other place im almost 4 dollars a min and for those raising an eyebrow , yes , i have private shows and i dont waste oxygen for notihng lol.I like this place cause is more like a comunity than a porn site and I found also members who are very very nice .Im sure are also here hosts that charge more than 3 dolars and have very good traffic abd earn big bucks .The price isnt everything.

The price debate is not gong to ever go away. The bottom line is that each host must figure out what price works best for her. Some hosts can raise their prices and make a lot of money, and some hosts would be better off lowering their prices. For each host, it is different.

You need to simply experiment and see what works best on the average day. To make the math easy, a host charging $1,00/min and that usually gets 90 minutes of video a day gets $90 (minus what CC gets). If that same host raises her price to $1,50/min, she needs only 60 minutes a day to get that same $90. The question of course is will she get at least 60 minutes of video because some members will stay away if the price went from $1,50 to $1.00. If she does not get at least 60 minutes of video at the higher price, she would be better off with the lower price.

On the other hand, a host that charges, for example $2,00/min and has 60 minutues of video a day makes $120 (minus what CC gets). If that host were to lower her price to $1,00/min, she would need to get 120 minutes of video a day to get that same $120. But she could actually attract more viewers because of the lower price and get 180 minutes of video a day and make $180. She would have to work harder, but she would also get more money in this case. Again, only by experimenting will she know what is best.

There is one final factor. Some members don't mind paying a little bit more because there is the idea in people's heads that you get what you pay for. In other words, a member might thnk that a host with a higher price is a better host even though that is not necessarily true. So even though it is strange, raising your price could actually help you get more members. Also, some hosts like members that pay a higher price because those members usually have more money and are older and more mature.

For my part, I like paying as little as possible, lol, but I will pay more for a host that is worth it. have hosts on my favourites list that charge $2,50 or more. I have paid over $3,00 sometimes just to check out a host that has some nice pics, but not very often, and most of the time, it is not really worth it.

But for me to pay more, the host needs to be a top host. Plus, if I am paying more, I usually am not in the mood to chat too much and want to get down to business. So by raising your price, you might find that members are less willing to chat and will demand a show sooner than in the past. You might not like that.

In your case, I have seen you and think that something like $1,50/min open with a 30% premium for one to one ($1,95/min) should be fine. You are nice to talk to and are very attractive. I don't think that you will lose many members or have shorter video sessons, and will probably make more money.

But for other hosts reading this, I tell her to raise prices because she is a top host here. Not all of you are so be careful before you try the same.

Sorry but I dont buy the higher price theory as a factor. I think newness or hotness is the most important factor in selecting a higher priced host. Also, if the host does not normally strip, I would pay higher to get that exclusive privilege. Given that CC has an excellent selection of hosts, there are many with lower prices to satisfy the needs of members here. Those claiming to make good money with their higher prices are few and far between and are also prone to exaggerate. By bragging about their higher prices, they are just trying to get less lower priced hosts to raise their charges so they are more competitive with them.

Well, newness and host ness are always a factor. That is why my favourites list has 20, not 5 or even 10. Variety is the spice of life, after all. And I do agree that there are a number of lower priced hosts that do a nice job, but I tend to prefer the higher priced ones ($1,50 to about $2,50) as long as they don't get too high ($3,00 or more).. But definitely are some nice value plays at $1,00 or so.

In terms of an "exclusive" strip just for one member, I have never heard of that. I am sure some hosts in glamour and little shy will only strip for certain members, but that is based on trust and how much money a member has spent. Trust is a factor because some hosts fear that a member will record the session. Money spent is a factor because the host is simply dangling a carrot at the end of a stick to get the member to spend more.

The trust thing I get. But for those hosts that will only strip if I am a big spender and come into their room over and over again, their game is a nice way to one star and negative post in the viewer forum. If you want to tell me that you strip after I spend $50 or only in one to one and are honest and upfront with me and do the same for all members, then fine, but don't jerk me around.

Finally, in terms of the hosts claiming that they make good money, many hosts do. I know enough hosts and what they make, not to mention that they tell me what their friends make, and can tell you that $2000 or more a pay period is not unusual. Of course, there are many hosts making just a few hundred dollars every two weeks, but many make a lot more. And I don't think that higher priced hosts are lying about what they make to get other hosts to raise their prices. That makes no sense since higher prices do not automatically mean more money, and can sometimes mean less money.

I have a policy of not paying more for a host than I earn doing my job. My absolute max is therefore just over $1.80/min but of course I prefer to pay less. I know one very cute host that is $0.50/min who I don't mind spending a lot of time with.

More power to hosts who can earn more by raising their prices, that's the free market in action. I won't spend more than my current limit though until I earn more!

I have to admit that the price a host charges is of little concern to me, its the time spent with the host that does and if I enjoyed my time with them.

I have had good times with $5 a minute and bad times, same with hosts who charge 0.50 a min.

There was a host here who i often spent $2000 a month with (she left in March last year sadly, but happily moved onto better things) The most I spent was just under $700 in one session with a host who charged a high price. But I enjoyed every minute of it :)

yes $2000 a month. Now to some that probably seems alot of money, others not so much. But its relative to income and budgets. Compared to my total income its nothing, and it only makes up around 25% of my entertainment budget. I always spend within my budget. Thats what members should do, keep within budgets.

Okay, let me first try to translate your post.

I am guessing that you fell in love with a member, and that this member told you, or that you assumed that, he would not go into video with other hosts and play with them, but he did it anyway. You forgave him because you love him, but you think that he will go with another host in video again because he thinks that since you forgave him once, you will forgive him again. But. if he does in fact see another host, you will not forgive him. And you hope that he understands that in life there is karma and that "what goes around, comes around".

Also, it looks like he promised you that he will fill out the paperwork so that you can come to his country and marry him, but there have been a lot of delays. You think that he is stalling and lying to you, but he says that you are worrying about nothing.

Well, a couple things. First, if he is seeing other girls in video, is he playing with them or just talking? He may have some friends here and just like to say hello. I know that could make you jealous, but I don't think he should have to give up his friends for you. I have mixed feelings about that because he should try to respect your feelings and not hurt you, but still, you should respect his friendships if they really are only friendships. On the other hand, if he is playing with girls in video and you are upset by that, he needs to stop. Some women would not care, but if you do, he must stop or you should find another man.

Now in terms of the paperwork to get you to his country, it can take a long time. If he is from the USA, I can tell you that he MUST show the U.S. government that he has met you before they will give him a fiancee visa (unless there is some type of religious reason that he cannot do this). So, if after a year, he has been making excuses that are not believeable to meet you, then you probably must forget him. But if he has met you, a year is not that long to get a visa from the time the process starts, although it should not take too much longer. For other countries, I am not sure. It might be faster than going to the USA. But since your post is by "ur lakergurl", I am guessing that he is an American from California, but who knows?

I do not know exactly what to tell you to do. He could be just chatting with host friends and doing his best to complete the paperwork. Or he could be a lying dog that is masterbating with every host on the internet and only visited you for sex, if he has visited you at all. Or the truth could lie somewhere in between. You will just need to trust your heart and your instincts.

I know exactly what you are going through as do many hosts and members, and more often than not, distance usually kills the relationship even if everyone is being honest. I am guessing that another host that you know told you that he visited her and played in video or you have some other type of proof of cheating. But even then, sometimes people cheat because they are lonely and maybe he did it after you had a big fight or something. I keep typing and typing, but I cannot give you good advice since I need to know more. I can only repeat what I said before. Distance kills relationships. Plus, even if you do get married, you are from different cultures and it will be very hard for the two of you, especially you if you are leaving your friends and family behind. Just do your best to make sure that this is the right man to be taking a chance with.

I am sure that many will just say "Oh, he cheats. Leave him." But without knowing more, I am not ready to give you that advice although that would probably be the better choice if I was going to guess.

Okay. I think that I got the picture. Unfortunately, my answer is to get rid of him.

He is too interested in meeting new people on sites and does not have enough time for you. And if he is playing with them and it upsets you, that is even worse.

The times that I had someone here, I stopped meeting new hosts and stopped playing. The only time that I did either of those things were when the host and I were having problems, and I was hurt and figured things were not going to work ou anyway. Perhpas he is thinking that too..

Plus, he has no respect for your feelings. He is too stupid even to hide from you what he is doing. It tells me that he doesn't even think that he is doing anything wrong. And the double-standaard where it is okay for him to see and play with hosts but not okay for you to work is a big-time danger sign.

If I loved you the way that you seem to love him, I would make sure that I got the paperwork done as fast as possible. And if things were good between us, I would not be seeing other hosts except to talk to friends that I already had.

Your love for him is very sweet. It makes me wish that I had someone like you. (Well, I sort of do so right now so I am not meeting new hosts or playing in video, but we are having problems too.. But in my case, I am tired of video and if this doesn't work out, then I will stick to people that live near me unless something happened with a host that I already knew.)

Moldovans know Russian and Romanian, but younger people such as hosts that are from Romania generally do not know Russian. They often know (at least a little) Spanish, Portuguese, French, and / or Italian, but not Russian. Some may also know German. And of course, many know English.

The Repuclic of Moldova was part of Romania. In fact, Eastern Romania is called Moldova. But then the Soviet Union took control of the country Moldova. Russian is still spoken there by almost everyone. But many are ethnic Romanians so they speak both.

In the far eastern part of Moldova, there is a rebel government where they think it is 1950 and are Communist. They speak Russian there.

The ones I've spoken too, all spoke English. But quite a few seemed to have exactly the same accent as the Romanian girls. I think that what Chris heard is right. That if some Romanians pretend to be Russians, it's because some people think Romanians are con artists.

I misread your initial post. I do not believe that I have had any Romanians say that they are Russians. Usually they will say that they are Italian or Spanish since they often know those languages at least a little.

I think that they do this to protect their identity, not because of scams. I have had hosts from Russia try to scam me just like hosts from Romania. And I am sure that if economic conditions were bad enough in western countries and a lot of hosts worked there, I am sure that there would be more hosts from those countries and that those hosts from western counrties would try to scam me more often as well.

People are people, in general. I don't think that Romanians or Russians are a bunch of scam artists. But in Eastern Europe, things like bribery are more common in day to day life. Things like that happen all over, but, for example, I have watched a taxi driver bribe a policeman while I was in Russia in front of everyone. In Romania, I have friends which must bribe their teachers to pass them for university even though their papers and tests are good enough to graduate.

That type of routine bribery does not happen in the western countries as much since economic conditions for the average person are better. This lack of economic opportunity causes issues with bribery and scams and a need to do what it takes to survive which is the exact same reason you have more chathosts from places like Eastern Europe as opposed to the West.

This day to day type of corruption of course can happen anywhere but generally in western countries, people hide it because it is not accepted or expected.. After all, a U.S. senator was in the news today for violating laws regarding reporting contributions so it happens all over. But, for example, countries like Romania and Bulgaria have problems that are so bad that there were issues about letting them into the European Union, (And no, it was not just some type of stereotype based on myth so please don't try posting that corruption in Romania is no worse than anywhere else.) In western countries, the scams and bribes occur at much higher levels whereas in other countries, they occur at both the high levels and with the average person at well. It is simply a function of the economic opportunities of the average person and what he or she must do to survive.

I would proceed with caution with any chathost regardless of where she is from. A woman's first instinct is not to get in front of a camera and make money by stripping. It is probably not an easy decision for her. And whatever motivated her to cross that ethical line in her head to allow her to work here, may well be why she thinks it is okay to scam you too. She may even resent you and blame you for her being here.

People will do what they must to survive. The only issue with Romania and Russia would be that more people from those countries are forced to do things that they might not otherwise do because of the economic conditions of the average person. That doesn't make scamming okay, but at least one can understand why a host may resort to that.

My experience mirrors your own: I've not found Romanian women given to scamming any more than any other group. Well, Moldova, not Romania, is routinely viewed as the poorest country in Europe, but the point is that the average person in Romania and Russia has more difficulty getting by each day than someone in a western country. I suppose this might happen occasionally but I doubt that many do this. Romanians are generally very proud of being Romanian. Russians have at least as bad a reputation for scamming as Romanians so if a Romanian wants to sat she is from another country she is more likely to chose Italy.

Well I do have a regular job which is very well paid. I still work websites quite often when I have the time, because I actually find it fun. I graduated of finance a year ago and I can find a job whenever I want, but then I will not have the freedom and money I make here. This job is easy and fun. I am not married and not planning to get married yet, but if i find husband and he doesn't like what i do, he can go somewhere else. Simply, I am independent and will not ask a man for money. Unfotunately many hosts don't like to show their face for privacy reasons until you are in video and you just need to take a chance. I can understand this, but sometimes I will select another host as a result. It depends on what else I see in the pics, comments in her forum, her star rating, and her attitude in text chat. What is worse is that a few of them won't show their face in video so make sure you ask first in text chat before jumping into video.

In terms of the price thing, duh!, lol Of course they would get more members, and of course I would like them to lower their price. But the question is, would they get enough additional members and longer videos to make it worth it.

For example, if a host charges $2,50/minute and gets one member to stay 20 minutes, she either needs one member to stay 25 minutes at $2.00 or two members to stay 12 1/2 minutes at two dollars. Only the host knows which work better for her.

She might also prefer to cater to one member at a higher price than two at a lower price and has no other choice but to make the open price higher because she cannot eliminate that option. Plus, hosts sometimes like member that are willing to spend more per minute because they actually will stay longer at a higher price and seem to be nicer, perhaps because they are older, have more money, and are more mature.
