What makes my chathost friend go insane....
Recently, my chathost friend told me about two guys that were acting a bit too possessive.
The first seems like he might be a nice guy and just may have a bit of a self-esteem problem. He chats with my friend in video from time to time, and I think sent my friend a present or two. They also speak on yahoo. That all seems great except for one thing: he insists that she closes her session on CC and only focuses on him for the 15 minutes or so that they speak on yahoo on a given day.
I really don't know how often they speak on yahoo, but to be upset that a host trying to work on a site does not stop whatever she is doing and only talk to him seems more than a bit possessive. He claims that when he is at work and talking to my friend, he refuses to take phone calls and gives her 100% of his attention unless there is an emergency. Unfortunately, what he doesn't understand is that sometimes videos can be few and far between and that a host needs to jump at every opportunity. A regular isn't always going to wait around to visit one of his favorities. If she is busy or not online, he may just go to another host and may never come back.
When I am chatting with my friends on yahoo and they get video or get busy with a few guys in text, they say "brb" or "vid", and I wait. I feel happy for them that they have video and are making money. And to be honest, I feel happy for myself too, lol, since 1) I won't have to hear my friends complain about the lack of video and 2) I won't have to worry about being asked to visit for a few minutes to at least rate them to help them get video. And I know that sooner or later, traffic will be slow and they will have plenty of time for me.
Perhaps this guy just needs to be reassured that my friend likes him and that he is important to her, but I think it is a little much to expect her to pause her session while speaking on yahoo, even if it is just for a short time. Even if it was his girlfriend, which she is not, I think such a position is being too possessive unless there was something important that the two of them needed to discuss and it could not wait.

This is not her boyfriend, by the way, and he isn't sending her enough not to work on sites. This is just some member that is madly in love with a host. I don't even think he visits her in video that much.

Unfortunately, I've heard too many stories about guys who seem to wish that they literally had strings to pull so that hosts could be their puppets.

Reminds me of the old saying, never accept gifts from strangers. ;-) In other words, the host is at least partly responsible for their pestering her. Keep it business-like cos that's what CC is, a business!

That point of view is absurd in my view. When you give gifts to your friends or business contacts, do you feel that they owe you something in return? I've given gifts to hosts, and I never expect anything from them except their honesty. You are blaming the host because a few guys out there cannot handle things in a mature manner. That is an absurd position in my view.

I could see how that might be a good solution because when members are trashing hosts in Little Shy and Glam for not getting nude then CC could make the member aware that they don't have to if they choose not :) unless of course they have promised it in chat prior.....
If a host has intentionally mis-lead a member to believe she will then that is a customer service issue. This situation does not apply to me and I honestly am wondering why this comes up in forum so often....is it really that often???

Question: If you are an Old Whanker, how would you know what kind of guys come into visit the hosts? I ask because from my perspective as a Glam Host, I find that 95% of the members that visit me are really awesome men that enjoy pretty girls. The other 5% I could put in the category of kinda cranky, demanding, semi-rude and confused which category they should be looking in.

I don't have a problem with the current system and feel that members should be allowed to criticise hosts. If other members feel the crticism is unjustified they post opposing views. The host can also defend herself in the general forum. Finally if things get too vicious CC may delete a post or the whole thread. For me one of the biggest pluses of CC is that it is relatively free and unregulated. I would like to keep it that way as far as possible.

1 star for every 100 minutes of free video I am given with a fully naked host, 150 minutes with a topless host and 1 second with a fully clothed host.

Sure, her forum is available to us, but it's not associated in any specific way with the ratings system. And most hostess forums are not used. They're just dead space. I also agree that the host forums could be converted to something more effective. The hosts forums were set up when we did not have CC mail and were mostly used for communication between the host and members. A personal notice board. Now that we have CC mail they are no longer required for this purpose.

No, not just the host's personal forum. They'll be removed from here too if they get too personal, or vicious, or even just too detailed.

Make it very simple and just rank hosts by revenue generated. Money speaks louder than anything else. And if you have viewers voting, require them to stay in video at least 15 minutes. This would reduce the influence of both haters and fanboys.

why do u keep going on about the ratings? everyone likes different things...what u and 10 others might think of one host being amazing i might think is really bad.....the ratings mean nothing....each host is different depending on who visits her...if they get a guy that is boring she will not b the same way as if she got a guy who is really fun (like me) :p

A system that rates hosts by revenues will encourage hosts to charge higher prices. It also work against host who may be very good but do not or cannot spend a lot of time on line. I do not think this is a good idea.

I think after many posts on this subject, many of us have come to the conclusion that a hosts ability to please member is relative to the members( & hosts) individual likes & dislikes. As such the rating system is invalid. Also the rating system is open to abuse. If the rating system is to continue a member should spend at least $15.00 with a host b4 he is able to rate her IE he should pay for the privelage of being able to rate a host.

The ratings at other places are not connected in anyway based on highest revenues. There are however different acknowledgements that change on a frequent basis that is directly connected to a hosts earnings at the end of the pay period. The rating system should not have anything to do with revenues....it should be on an individual basis based on the personal experience that the member had with the host. I do think there should be at least 5 minutes spent with the host to be able to rate. The ratings should be accumulative rather than the 10 guests.

Come on Germany didn't have a chance against Spain. They sucked big time against Spain. That was a horrible game. Spain had the ball all the time and Uruguay was always lucky to be in the semi-finals, thanks to Forlan, the only one in Uruguay that knows how to kick the ball in the whole team.

I join the congratulations! But it should be noted the true. With a game between Spain and Germany in the semifinals (they were lucky that was not Mueller in the game because as a 1 goal at least against Spain, would be provided as well), and in today's final was a very equal battle with rivals. They do not have distinguished a large difference in the account. Plus, the inaccuracy of the judge. In my opinion, that luck and fortune in this year was on their side only. Account in the semifinals and finals with a huge stretch to 1: 0 is not measure of genius team.

I found the game pretty boring compared to some of the other matches. Referee was good overall compared to what I saw in other matches. He may have missed a call or two, but no ref catches everything. That is why they need two refs... one in front of the play and one behind it.
One call the ref missed is when he gave a yellow instead of a red card to a guy on the Netherlands who kicked the Spanish guy right in the chest without the ball even being there. I think it was De Jon or something.
I am not very knowledgeable about football, but if that is a not red card, nothing is. Spain would have been up a man for most of the game had the right call been made. Netherlands has nothing to complain about.

Spain prior to the world cup were the best team in the world and justice was served , they are the best team , they deserve the world cup . Many teams tried to stop them playing so many of their games were messy but fascinating . The dutch tried to stop them playing with so many bad tackles , the right team won , the referee had an almost impossible game to referee , felt sorry for him , he didnt want the game we saw like everyone else . Trying to manipulate officials happens in most sports all around the world. It is just part of the competitive nature of things. The problem with soccer/football is that the diving is so ridiculous that it takes away from the game. Personally, I rather not see my team win if they didn't earn it, but I suppose things even out.
In terms of "dirty dutch", I looked away from the tv, but I guess it was on some type of pass back to the spanish goalie or some type of long shot never meant to be a real shot on goal that led to the dutch guy just kicking a corner gently to the Spanish goalie... There were still moments of sportsmanship shown by both teams.

I didnt for one minute think Howard Webb was on the side of Spain , if anything he showed a great deal of leniency to the dutch as in the first half alone Van Bommel and De Jong should have been sent off , He didnt want the referee ruining it as a spectacle . He allowed a few bad tackles before he showed the first yellow card and handed out a few more soon after which should have been a warning to the players . The occasion and the dutch tactics ruined the game . Its sad but the referee just could not win , he couldnt please the spanish or the dutch players or fans . It was not the spectacle we all wanted to see but in terms of tension it had it ........ as regards other sports , you can name more or less any sport and i can pretty much point to examples of cheating from steroid abuse , drugs , corrupt officials etc. At the end of the day Football is the greatest sport in the world played by the whole world and the easiest sport for any child to start :)))))

Two days ago there was a boating accident on the Delaware river which separates New Jersey from Pennsylvania in the USA. It occurred on a tourist boat which is actually an open air bus which converts to a boat when it gets to the river in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The vehilce allows you to see the city from both land and from the water. I believe that they have similar vehicles in other cities in the USA as well.
Two people died as a result of the accident, both of whom were visitors from Hungary. One victim was a 20 year old man, the other was a 16 year old girl whose body they found today. They were visiting with a group of Hungarians that I believe were here for some type of English language program.
Tragedies happen all over the world each day. We hear about them. We feel bad. And then we move on. But because of sites and the friends I have made, I feel closer to things that happen in other countries. And now, something has happened near where I am to visitors from Europe.
I don't have any friends from Hungary, but this international connection that I feel has made this incident upset me a great deal. I guess that I feel that these were people that I could have known.
Anyway, I just felt like sharing this and hope that the families of the victims will find a way to emotionally deal with this situation.
