We have recently become aware that emails purporting to be from CamContacts are being circulated. Although the emails contain wording taken directly from our site we can categorically state the CamContacts does not condone or use bulk emailing for any purpose.

The SPAM emails are sent from different e-mail addresses and examination of the email header will clearly show that they are not sent by CamContacts. It is common practice for spammers to fake email addresses to hide their own identity and make it look like it comes from a legitimate source.

Investigations have shown that the emails are originating from around the world and are probably part of a `botnet', a network of infected computers that are controlled by a hacker to perform various tasks such as mass emailing, DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks etc.

CamContacts have strict anti-spam policies, both internally (for staff) and for affiliates and associates and will never carry out such activity.

If you have received such an email please send the complete email (including full headers) to abuse@camcontacts.com to allow us to take the appropriate action.
